  1. ^Thanks for the info, as I never knew for sure it had to do with the airport. I'm not at all complaining, a coaster doesn't have to be tall to be great. I'm really excited for the official announcement!
  2. ^That's what I always assumed. The actual restriction states that the Village of Gurnee has to approve anything over 125 feet, and can build nothing taller than Sky Trek Tower (330 feet).
  3. ^That's a good point. I *hope* it's there because both sides of Eagle are getting the RMC makeover, but I'm doubtful because that would be really expensive. I still feel that doing only one side would seem sort of pointless to me. They probably could squeeze in a Full Throttle type using the Iron Wolf station and running out into Southwest Territory and back- especially if they take the Theater out- that would be a pretty long coaster! The only record I could see it breaking would be to take the tallest loop away from Full Throttle. As already mentioned, the tallest coaster/largest drop are impossible with the 330 foot height restriction.
  4. But that wouldn't relate to anything record breaking? SFGAm can't built above 310 ft or taller than Sky Treck Tower. The Texas Sky Screamer is 400ft tall, so which record would they break? I think the book was also a "red herring." I just can't see there being any room for a record breaking coaster, not to mention the height restriction.
  5. ^^I think you're probably right. I also believe the Full Throttle stuff was to throw enthusiasts off. I'm willing to bet on a Sky Screamer.
  6. Lisa Robin Kelly- "Laurie Forman" of That 70's Show passed away this morning at 43. I remeber reading about her DUI problems a few years ago. She died in her sleep in a rehab facility. Link
  7. Glad to see iRat is open again. Hopefully NTAG is not far behind. I'm glad they only added seatbelts instead of neutering it in some other way. I will definitely be making a Texas trip within the next couple years!
  8. I'm not buying it for a few reasons. All SFGAm employees enter through 1 security checkpoint. They have a bulletin board at the checkpoint where they post employee ERT info backstage near the railroad crossing behind where Iron Wolf was,, so there's no reason it would be posted out in the open like that. Secondly, the park has "sections"- North, South, East, and West which all contain their own supervisors. They offer ERT on foasters to a specific section, or they would offer it to all employees, I've never heard of them offering it to just one coaster "team", and the park calls them a "crew", not a team. I'm not ruling out that AE gets an RMC treatment, I just don't think that sign is legit, in my opinion. I sure hope I'm wrong though!
  9. I would be very sad to see Cajun go. It has been running more wild than ever the past few years! I hope the rumors aren't true.
  10. ^Lol. Great video! I could feel everyone's pain It's pretty unfortunate that the original sections still run that bad. Hades was great when it was new! I don't think I even have any more desire and go try it again, my back still hurts from the ride I took on it last year. At least the barrell roll looks smooth. It looks like the Midwest Tour was a great time- great job Robb and Elissa! I can't wait to do a TPR trip sometime soon.
  11. ^I agree, I just get excited for the 1st game since it means the regular season is near. I had to leave for work halfway through the 2nd quarter and didn't care at all that I missed the rest of the game.

  13. ^That was actually one question I had. What exactly is the capacity of- say- a Batman clone, just to get and idea of what Banshee's would be like. With a good crew the Batman clones just eat people.
  14. I was having problems last night with redirects on my Android phone, only noticed this thread just now, but I've had no trouble whatsoever today.
  15. As much as I would LOVE an RMC, I think I have to agree that giving one side the Iron Horse treatment would be a waste. As already mentioned, not only would that end AE being a racing coaster, but the ridership on the "old" side would eventually dwindle to nothing anyway. Eagle ran pretty poorly when I went last month, but when she's in good shape amd they can turn the trim before the helix down it's one of the best coasters in the park. The topper track idea is a great one, but if they gave both sides and Iron Horse makeover that'd be even better!!
  16. Lol, whoops! KI only posted it 4 minutes ago, so I assumed it was new. I guess I was bound to do something stupid sooner or later!
  17. KI just posted an on ride POV to their Facebook page. Not sure if it's been posted already, but here it is:
  18. ^^This! I must admit- after watching the videos it looks like it's going to be awesome!!! Nice choice by CF and KI! The color scheme and station look great, the vertical loop through the lift hill is awesome, and it just looks to be a fun coaster. Can't wait to check it out!
  19. ^^^^I doubt it. If Werner Stengel was involved in the project there is at least hope, though.
  20. The launch on TTD is smoother than KK's is. IMO KK's launch feels slightly more powerful, though the only time I've ever ridden KK was the first 2 days it reopened with a new launch engine, so I'm sure that had something to do with it. Stats show TTD going 0-120 in 4 seconds, and KK 0-128 in 3.5.
  21. Really neat list. I already "liked" the article and shared it on Facebook. Well done!
  22. Cesari's Pizza is my favorite thing to eat at Knoebels. Do yourself a favor and get a birch beer to drink along with it!
