Best: On the Disney Vekoma coasters, when the friction wheels start spinning fast the millisecond the brake fins open at the station. It's the sound of high capacity. Also, Vekoma brakes in general sounds really nice when they open. Worst: Wheels squeaking. It kind of ruined the soundtrack at the dark ride section of Seven Dwarf Mine Train.

If the $7.5 million includes the theming and story line they mentioned, I would say it is a good deal! -

^It's a custom built terrain coaster that has lots of structures specifically designed for the soil and rock type at Kolmården. If a park can afford to relocate it and redesign the structure, might as well just buy a brand new RMC. I really hope the management have planned that this is going to happen and will survive all the craziness. Personal feelings of putting this super high up my bucket list aside, I really think Wildfire will change Kolmården forever. -

Thank you for taking your time and making this post! You have taught me a lot over the years about how to deal with haters and setting priorities straight. Kind of off topic but I really appreciate how TPR is now a perfect mix of nerdy stuff and GP friendly contents because the industry is ultimately about the GP and getting as many people as possible to spend money. There are lots of super nerdy and technical groups out there but you know exactly how to run this community and make sure it is a fun and friendly environment so that certainly involves a lot of cleansing. Keep doing what you're doing man, you're my idol!

If it draws crowd and has low maintenance cost, keep it. But KI has plenty of family friendly rides that don't cost as much to maintain and are more exciting than out and back straight hills. If they decided to RMC Racer or remove it, they are doing the right choice there. GP don't care about what historic value a coaster has and parks are built for GP, not enthusiasts that don't want anything to change.

Your guilty pleasure ride

S&S towers, no matter how forceless some of those are, I would always ride one when I see one. And old school dark rides in general. -
RMC does have super fast transitions, but there is airtime during the transitions so your body doesn't experience as much lateral G as heartline transitions. RMC coasters take certain transitions while the heartline is on a zero G or negative G parabola and the top view is also two halves of parabola facing opposite directions, like how the off-axis airtime hill on Storm Chaser works. It's probably a bit confusing but let's just say this is RMC magic. While Intamin also does super fast transitions when the heartline is on a parabola, the top view is a straight line that's why Intamin transitions has a lot more lateral G.

Hmm one question, how will the park collect the data of which one of these people choose? I highly doubt they would come to TPR forum and read all our posts to know how we think. Hope they will have a fair and efficient way to let people vote which one they like more. -

I'm think those are 40-seat swings. I don't think there is an Intamin 50-seater as of today. My bad, sorry. I mean 40 seat Gyro Swings.
