^ You'll be fine. Leviathan and Behemoth do an amazing job with capacity (30 mins tops each, and that was a busy weekday last week). Its the other 'midcard' rides that will slow you down. Bottom line - I'd say fast pass not necessary as long as you get there for opening and stay until at least dinner time -
Worst ride "neuters"

^ YES. It really is too bad, because besides the bad first trim, I found the rest of the ride to be surprisingly good. -

^ I agree with removing Time Warp and Flight Deck. Can you imagine if we had gotten a B&M invert instead? Cedar Point opened Raptor in 1994 and Busch Gardens opened Montu in 1996, yet somewhere in between there, Wonderland opens an SLC? I think that one move ruined Wonderland's immediate future, as we are now seeing new coasters simply being crammed in half-ass planned just to catch up with industry standards. If we had opened a quality B&M invert back in 1995, Wonderland could be adding something world-class by now like a BlueFire MegaCoaster or a Maverick, and not a B&M wing rider or something. -

Here are a few things Six Flags has actually done right: 5. Allowing people into the park prior to the rides opening 4. Clone rides (Batman, Superman etc) 3. The Fast Lane system is more considerate towards non-fast lane people (fast laners are told when to come to the line rather than just cram in whenever they want) 2. Boarding passes with numbers to help weed out line jumpers on major attractions 1. RMC!!!

"No Single Riders" policies.

I almost get a "disgruntled ex-employee" vibe, with the naming of a management company on his very first post and another on his third. He registered for the sake of making this thread. When I read 'almost arrested by police', and no age displayed on their profile, my guess would be a middle-aged pervert... think about it - when was the last time you have seen an emo teenager who was just dumped by their girlfriend almost getting arrested for simply wanting to go on a ride with other people? -

- Batman are Thunderbolt are both good rides. And 20 minute wait or less. Do them for sure. - Pandemonium and Gotham City are okay, but I wouldn't wait too long in line for them. - Get over your fear of heights and do Bizarro! Simply the best steel coaster that I've been on. - Cyclone is a part of history, don't miss it. - Flashback is okay, but again, don't wait in line too long for it - Mind Eraser is painful like all other SLCs. I would skip it. Probably the worst ride in the park. - Nevermind, I forgot about Goliath. If you want to wait an hour in line for a lower back adjustment, knock yourself out! - Sky Screamer was pretty fun. Be sure to sneak a few photos while up there. - I ate at the Fast Eddie's outlet. It's pricey at around $10, but it's an amusement park, so it should be expected. The burgers are actually pretty good, and serve curly fries. The buffalo chicken fingers were also good, but be forewarned that they drown them in hot sauce. Get a milkshake to cool the tongue off! - Worst case scenario, just bring an empty plastic water bottle and fill up at a fountain

You realize that one park having both an SLC AND a B&M Batman is a total redundancy. Or having a Vekoma boomerang AND a GIB -
The "Pleasant/Unpleasant Surprise" Thread
Angle O. Descent replied to cfc's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Some more from my recent New England trip: Pleasant Surprise: Cyclone SFNE On paper it doesn't look very thrilling, but the first drop was pretty solid, and keeps a good pace though out. Another pleasant surprise: Comet Great Escape I knew it would be good, but it felt like I was riding Phoenix, which is a great thing! Unpleasant surprise: Goliath SFNE Easily the most painful coaster I've ever been on. It was the first time in my life where I actually wanted a ride to stop. Seriously, the older boomerang (not to mention, no more than 20 yards away) was more enjoyable than this thing. Another unpleasant surprise: Boulderdash CLOSED???? Overall, somewhat of a bust. Although Bizarro was every bit as good as I imagined -

If you get there for opening, you won't need a fast pass. Just be sure to hit Wonder Mountain Guardian first. All other wait times are pretty manageable. -
Cedar Point (CP) Discussion Thread
Angle O. Descent replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^ Fast passes are a good way to go, but you can get away without one if you get there for opening and ride in this order: - Gatekeeper - Wicked Twister - Magnum XL - Gemini - Maverick - Mean Streak - Cedar Creek Mine Ride - Millennium Force - Mantis - Blue Streak - Raptor - Corkscrew - Top Thrill (highly recommend you end the day with this) I've done this order on summer Saturdays and have been finished by dinner time. -
