Wild Adventures Discussion Thread

Sounds interesting. They definitely want to focus on catering to local families, and that works just fine for them. Would love to see a new, custom coaster come to the park, but that probably wont happen for a long time. -
What is the Best Eurofighter?
thrillseeker4552 replied to RCBoilermaker14's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Or Wicked at Lagoon By the way, do Infinity Coasters count? I know the trains are different, but some like Junker and Karacho only have two rows, and look just like a regular Eurofighter. Is it the train design itself or that it has two rows that make it a Eurofighter? According to Gerstlauer, what differentiates an Infinity Coaster from a Eurofighter is the trains/lapbars and train capabilities, regardless of the number of rows on the car. So I would say Karacho and Junker wouldn't qualify as Eurofighters, per Gerstlauer's definition (you can see Adam Sandy explain it in IAAPA interviews from this year). -
What's even crazier is that, technically speaking, this park will have 3 RMC-built coasters, since Batman's track is RMC track. But even if you don't count that, two RMCs is still awesome, and the only park that can "kinda" compare is Kentucky Kingdom since Lightning Run is so much like an RMC in itself. I really hope these rides start popping up around both Six Flags and Cedar Fair parks, assuming Railblazer and WW are both successful.

Yes, it's closed right now due to cost-saving. The park has been in full cost saving mode for the last few months due to not hitting attendance projections. However there is also something mechanically wrong with it, but that's not been confirmed. Speaking of cost-cutting... What's up with the Crazanity construction? It looks like it's stalled the last week or two. I'm still convinced that HangTime will open before CraZanity.

I'm one of the few that actually likes Green Lantern quite a bit. Some rides are downright painful, but I've always preferred rides that throw me around a lot (hence why I worship Skyrush), even if it means enduring a little pain. Green Lantern is one of the few coasters that I actually get scared on because I have no idea what kind of ride I'll get. I wouldn't care THAT much if Six Flags ends up removing it at some point, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't disappointed it's closed so often.

Fuji-Q Highlands Discussion Thread

I believe the American Dream clone will naturally be smoother for longer since it is indoors and not exposed to the elements. Isn't SpongeBob generally regarded as one of the smoother Eurofighters for that reason? Correct me if I'm wrong. Anyway, nice photos! I think I'm in the minority that actually enjoys Eejanaika's new colors. I like two tones of black. -

Valleyfair (VF) Discussion Thread

Honestly though, that would be a perfect addition for Valleyfair. A smooth, looping steel coaster that’s cheap, compact, highly visible, and highly marketable. Not saying it will happen, but it would really bridge a gap in the park’s lineup for sure. Edit: This post is referring to an RMC Raptor, by the way, since it’s on a new page. -
What is your next park?

Knott's Berry Farm next Sunday! Haven't been since August... I can't wait to get back there. -
Carowinds Discussion Thread

Fury and Nitro actually have quite different trains. Fury’s road wheels are much larger, thus having a different sized chassis too, I believe. That’s not to say they couldn’t get harder wheels on it, I’m sure they could, but the newer generation 4-across Hyper trains (Leviathan, Fury, Mako) are actually pretty different than the older standard 4-across trains, from I have noticed. If you put them side by side in a photo, it’s quite noticeable. Kinda interesting. At first I thought it was a giga thing, but Mako has essentially the same trains as Fury and it is definitely not a giga, so who knows. -
What is the best floorless?

1. Bizarro 2. Dominator 3. Batman the Dark Knight 4. Rougarou 5. Scream! 6. Hydra (even though the jojo roll is sweet) If Scream were smoother, it would be up there with Bizarro since they have the same layouts, but I swear Scream runs on square wheels. -
RCDB lists them as having two different track lengths so they are not identical. Did you actually READ the stats???!? I've been on both rides. I could be wrong, but they don't seem like clones to me. I guess I'm also not coaster dorky enough to give a crap either. Like, why does this matter? My observation was simply based on the fact that Spiderman is categorized as a "Sierra Sidewinder" track layout on the website. That is all. You're right in that it doesn't matter much, I just thought I'd explain where I was coming from with my original comment.
