  1. ^I'm not too familiar with the Flash Pass system at Six Flags parks. It seems more complicated than Cedar Fair's FastLane, so I never really took the time to understand it. Could someone explain to me why a Gold is better than a Platinum?
  2. Oh my gosh...that second airtime hill though! Looks like a very fun ride!
  3. Hopefully Colossus' iron box treatment will be just as good, if not better. That would be the only RMC I would be able to ride in the near future.
  4. If they only re-do one side, wouldn't the other "normal" side (topper track or not) be very neglected? I think the majority of SFMM's audience would want the crazy new thrill machine rather than the "classic". It seems that over time the normal side would just become empty while the new side has a crazy line. Just my thoughts
  5. Hopefully Knott's Soak City this Saturday or Sunday. I've been to Knott's a countless amount of times, but I've never been to Soak City.
  6. Wow, what an amazing looking ride. In my opinion, this looks like a better ride than Goliath.
  7. It'd be great to have the playhouse back too, but nonetheless it looks amazing. I love the direction Knott's is going. I simply love it.
  8. I have the Knott's app (my home park), and I will admit that it is complete poo. Everything is a pain to use. I'm going to Cedar Point and Kings Island this summer, so I downloaded those apps, and they are the exact same as Knott's, except for a different color, shows, GPS map, etc. I really hope Cedar Fair redesigns their mobile apps, because the ones they have now are just...blah. Just adding wait times would greatly improve them. The smartphone market is constantly growing, so having a friendly, easy-to-use app is almost essential when visiting a theme park (especially if it's a new park for you).
  9. Looks great! I'm still amazed at how you got two-tone track on RCT3. I tried that paint brush feature you were talking about, but all it did was color the track as a whole. I would really love to see how you got two-tone track.
  10. Thanks for the photos and video! It's nice to see that a lot of the vegetation has grown in since March. Hopefully I can visit Dollywood someday, but living 2000 miles away doesn't help too much. Tennessee Tornado, Mystery Mine, Wild Eagle, Thunderhead, and this is a great line-up.
  11. ^Yup, and to the GP, it's the same thing anyway!
  12. While this benefits capacity (which Cedar Point is known to excel in already), I see a wave of complaints about how Cedar Fair is just being money grabbers coming in if they further implement this to all of the coasters. I do wish the one time use fluffy, fluffy bunnies filled with medicine and goo were free for 2 hours max though... At least they are giving you the option to use a locker before you load for the ride, so I see it as a plus. On X2 at SFMM they literally force you to pay $1 and rent a locker right before you load the train because they don't tell you before entering the line beforehand that you can't have loose articles. And I don't know if it's just me, but I really hope CF isn't going to go in a minor "Six Flags direction". With the addition of FunTV (which, in the end, is for ads and promoting sales) and the enforcement of renting lockers, I hope it stays to a minimum. The last thing I would like with this new Cedar Fair era is putting ads all over the park (not saying it will happen, but some small minor changes sort of point that direction...)
  13. ^I'm not gonna lie, that looks like a really good ride! The airtime hills on the way back look strong, and that turnaround is very unique. Maybe I'll be able to visit Coney Island someday.
  14. I LOVE Lightning Run's color scheme. Light blue, dark green, light green, and purple all look so vibrant and lively!
  15. Then people in the Darien Lake thread can finally stop speculating new roller coasters! What if SFMM's next ride is a dark ride themed to Miley Cyrus?
  16. ^I haven't been on either, but I'd say Dominator. Long airplane flights or long car rides?
  17. I'm going to Cedar Point this July, and these photos are making me even more excited! It looks like quite a lot has changed since my last visit in 2012.
  18. These seats were shown at IAAA last year. Looks like lap bars to me.
  19. Wow! VERY nice layout! I'm loving it so far. And the roll into the break run is fantastic! And so is the zero g stall! As for flaws, I believe the headline roll right before the launch is taken at way too high of a speed. I would recommend either stretching it out or removing it completely. It just seems sort of out of place.
  20. So this park has 3 inverted coasters now? Interesting. Looks great! Love the custom scenery in this park. Keep up the great work!
  21. I like the purple train A LOT more than the expected blue train. Can't wait to ride!
  22. ^I was thinking the same thing. If it flies around the track that quickly during testing, I can only imagine how great it'll be when it's heated up in the summer!
  23. I think SFMM gets a lot of crap just because of it's reputation. Sure, it is quite dirty, the employees aren't too good, and it has a low number of family rides, but I'm never bored there because of the great coaster line-up! I'm okay with sacrificing a little quality for kick-butt rides. It's just the type of park it is.
  24. It sounds promising! I can't wait to ride it this July when it's all heated up and full of yummy airtime!
