  1. Knott's has a shuttle, and they can pick you up at the airport. I'd call them and ask.
  2. All you need now is for the Margaritaville in Pigeon Forge to sell the cinnamon bread.
  3. Yep. Guilty. This is awesome news indeed. No more offseason for cinnamon bread!
  4. I approve of this. Every park needs more BBQ.
  5. I might or might not spend a lot of time at work looking at Google Maps of Sandusky.
  6. Up at the top of the photo, there's a bridge. That goes to the park. Thanks for doing that, CoasterInk. Very helpful.
  7. That is a totally awesome day. Sounds like Quick Queue was the right choice with limited hours and skipping those 30-45 minute queues. Honestly when I try to sell my family on Busch Gardens, Cheetah Hunt is the one I use. Looks very cool, and I've heard good things from everyone who doesn't just complain about everything. You packed a lot into that weekend. Beer, margaritas, bloody marys. Some rides too. Glad everything went so perfect. You only get one 40th, and you certainly weren't going to spend it with some lame ass black balloons.
  8. I've had this one on repeat for the last half hour or so. Nuestros corazones están con Uds., El Salvador. No les olvidaramos. [youtu_be] [/youtu_be]
  9. Culver's is one of the better fast food burgers. They're based in Wisconsin, so heavy on the dairy. For basically McDonald's prices, you get way better quality. I like their "snack pack"--which is a reasonable size burger, fries, and 16 oz. drink (go with their house root beer, it's awesome) for $4-5 depending on burger toppings. It's a full meal, they just call it a "snack" because Murkah.
  10. Boysenberry pie!
  11. Going old school tonight with one of the greatest guitarists ever. [youtu_be] [/youtu_be]
  12. Exterminator at Kennywood
  13. Yeah, I got a survey from SFStL after we went for Holiday in the Park and they asked me which rides we went on. Scooby Doo was on the list, and it's been closed for a couple of years now.
  14. Oh, man, I feel terrible for you. It must have been awful coming out of that coma and finding out about Brexit.
  15. That's what I had thought. Just really not sure why people are complaining about a loss of length, if the coaster is still basically the same length, just without the helix. And that was the second most boring ass helix ever, after Rattler's triple helix. So the few feet lost with that taken out makes the ride better. I don't get it.
  16. Okay, so are they just taking out the helix and replacing with an overbank, or are they taking out the 2nd lap through the inner part entirely and just making a left turn from the overbank straight into the brakes?
  17. I got called out in a trip report! Woohoo! Seriously, what a fun trip. Congratulations to your sister! Busch Gardens looks so awesome, and I do hope to get there one of these days. Y'all are okay people. We probably differ politically, but whatever. You're Yuengling fans, so you can't be that bad.
  18. ^ Yeah, I feel much the same way. I think a lot of enthusiasts panned Valravn just because they had already been on the Busch Gardens dive coasters. For me, a good indicator of how much I enjoyed a ride is how many times I chose to ride it. On my day at CP back in 2016, I rode Millennium Force the most, 6 times, and Valravn was second at 5. Magnum and Maverick were tied at 4 times each. So even though when I think "what was my favourite ride there?" the three Ms come to mind first, I enjoyed Valravn enough to spend a good deal of time there, and I think that says something.
  19. Totally. That area will be remarkably different next year, and SDC has a great track record that when they change something, it's always improved. That really sucks, and I'm sorry that happened to you. I'm not surprised, because I live here and I know what the people are like, but I hate that it did all the same. You shouldn't feel like you can't do something you enjoy because people are hateful. In a way, you're giving in to them, because not encountering any gay people is pretty much the goal of people like her. On the other hand, it's hard to enjoy something when people are hateful to you. I get it. It just sucks.
  20. No! Not Poke Salad Mary's! That was the best place to get a poke salad EVAR!!!! Seriously, it was okay, but there are at least a dozen places to eat that are better than that one. That area was kind of a retaurant alley, with a couple of skillet places and some snack and beverage stands. I wouldn't be surprised if they're building a new high volume restaurant in the style of Crossroads Pizza but still serving the skillets. I've made no secret that I think Trump is an idiot, and I don't consider that a political opinion. I thought he was an idiot when he was on the Apprentice, and I thought he was an idiot when I had to deal with his minions carrying out his policies in the course of my job (I work in the travel industry and occasionally have dealings with his hotels). My assessment of Trump's mental capabilities and overall competence to do anything did not begin with his most recent job.
  21. Everything looks wonderful. I will admit I got sticker shock on the menu prices, but I live in the Ozarks, so that happens pretty much everywhere. We have just about the lowest cost of living anywhere in the country. It does look like you get your money's worth on the quality. Oh, and Rocky Horror references make everything better.
  22. They've not starting selling tickets yet. Don't worry, you haven't missed it. They only sell 1000, and they did sell out in 2016 when Valravn was new. If they didn't sell out last year, it's only because they hadn't gotten to 1000. This year Steel Vengeance is a bigger deal to enthusiasts than Valravn was, so I'd check this thread and CP's website frequently and buy the ticket as soon as possible.
  23. You know the more you say things like that, the more you energize the left.
  24. Timber Wolf was really good in the early 90s. I didn't ride it opening season, obviously, but I do remember liking it and Zambezi Zinger when I was probably 8 or 9 (1993 or 1994). It had gotten really rough, to the point where it was painful. The new track so far is awesome. The ride is very good until the helix, where the old track still exists. You can tell a big difference between the new and old track, like driving on a highway where the newly paved section ends.
