  1. The forces one encounters while walking under it are greater than those encountered while riding it. I read somewhere that an early version of GateKeeper had some trims designed into the affected paths/walkways to solve this. Its new home in Kings Dominion also allows you to walk underneath a lot of the track. I also want to add Mean Streak since the line goes through the center of the ride.
  2. ^ Seems the Germans like to copy Intamin (this along with Macks Mega Coasters).
  3. ^ I forgot about Time Machine there, should have looked on the next page.
  4. My guess is that its going somewhere across the ocean (probably China but it could also be for Europe). Ocean Park and Xishuangbanna Theme Park have unknown B&Ms. http://rcdb.com/r.htm?ot=2&co=6831&page=5
  5. To be fair, GIBs have a lot of issues and this one has added issues due to the new trains (which is hopefully why its not open and is the issue they are fixing).
  6. My guess on why that is is because Switzerland is very mountainous and therefore, does not have a lot of space to build theme parks. I would however like to see Intamin create a park like Mack did with Europa Park (they have the ride catalog to do it).
  7. While I have not been to SFKK, I don't think that Green Lantern is a bad coaster, its way better than its sister Mantis (when it was Mantis not when its Rougarou) and i consider it the best stand up I have ridden (others being Mantis, Le Cobra, and Shockwave). That being said its lack luster compared to Nitro, El Toro, Batman the Ride, Kingda Ka, and Bizarro.
  8. In the park right now and everything is a walk on. Diablo is completely erected (the last part of the train is on all thats left is the catwalks).
  9. Thanks for the advice everyone. And they litterally put it together today.
  10. Hi guys just wondering, we are camping and going to the park till Wednesday or Thursday and depending on what SFGAdv rain policy is will decide what day we are leaving. So I just want to know what rides will they close in the rain (other than the obvious like Kingda Ka) and if they are the rain Nazis like Cedar Point.
  11. More tax payer money down the toilet for something that will only work half the time...
  12. I hate SFNEs layout, Every time I visit it is a lot of going back and forth due to its T junction design. SFGAdv is also pretty bad since it has a ton of dead ends (some of which don't even need to exist [Old Country])
  13. Magnum at CP has a pretty good capacity when it is running 3 trains however the fastest dispatches Ive seen was on the Phoenix, no seat belts or a gate along with buzz bars really speeds things up.
  14. Anything getting replaced with nothing Ultra Twister getting replaced with Viper (SFGAdv) B&R: The Chiller getting replaced with the Dark Knight Wildcat getting replaced with bleachers (CP)
  15. Dark Knight Replacing Chiller Ultra Twister being replaced with Viper (thank god we got El Toro) Soapbox Racers being replaced by Wind Jammer
  16. If you ride in the front of Goliath, it runs better but if you are anywhere else it sucks.
  17. ^ Hopefully that plan includes RMCing some of the many of Cedar Fairs awful wooden coasters (such as Mean Streak and both Hurlers).
  18. ^ A simple visit to RCDB can answer that question... http://rcdb.com/495.htm
  19. NJ: El Toro OH: Maverick or Magnum XL 200 MA: Bizarro (could change next year with Wicked Cyclone) PA: Skyrush, Phoenix, or Ravine Flyer II (PA has a lot of good coasters) IN: The Voyage CT: Boulder Dash NY: The Comet (TGE) or Ride of Steel WA: Timberhawk WI: Hades or Cyclops (only went to Mount Olympus) VA: Intimidator 305
  20. Mean Streak, its basically the same layout as the Texas Giant and therefore could easily be RMCed. I also think that Bizarro at SFNE could be a lot better if they got trains that were lighter and had El Toros lap bars instead of the big bulky bars they have on it now. (Not knocking Bizzaro its still a great ride but it lost a lot when it changed from Superman)
  21. Well I think we can confirm Time Machine is going somewhere (track looks like it was taken apart carefully) hard to tell about Soak'd though.
  22. I agree that CP needs a dark ride but lets remember that this IS Cedar Fair we are talking about and they cant keep themeing up even if their lives depended on it! Maverick, Magnum, and Disaster Transport are great examples of CFs inability to keep up themeing and a new dark ride will probably last 1 or 2 years before they let it deteriorate to the point that its just riding around in the dark while hearing odd noises.
