  1. Staying in the park right now and having a good time. Really like the new Gemini Midway and the new Slingshot looks fun. However I have one big complaint and that's the damn seat belts in Wicked Twister. They made so only teenage girls can ride the damn ride! I wouldn't consider myself fat (maybe a little husky) but I couldn't even fit in the test seat! How can they expect to get decent ridership when they deny average sized people! Seriously, if you are over 125lbs I would stay clear of Wicked Twister. Edit: just so you know I can ride every other ride in the park with plenty of slack on the belt. But I cant ride this stupid thing because of this issue that didn't exist a couple years ago.
  2. I remember him from our trip last year, he is really great with the spiel, he sounds just like a professional recording.
  3. ^ Im wondering if this law suite has anything to do with it. It seems stupid enough that only a American court could implement it.
  4. Gas here is around $3.80 Diesel is around $4.20 (thanks to ultra-low Sulfur ) New York SUCKS!
  5. For those who have ridden the new trains, how are the restraints? Are they better than Premiers old OTSR or is it the boxing matching like found on old Premier trains.
  6. I can relate to the bird story since my mom got hit by a goose coming down the tower on Top Thrill Dragster, had a large bruise on her arm for a long time and that was only being hit by the wing. Anyways about the parachute tower, is there a possibility that they will be moving this to the new park in Dubai? In the concept art there is a parachute tower that looks to big to be the kid ones Intamin still makes. I would be upset if they did since its a very unique ride to the area and I try to ride it whenever we go down.
  7. ^ El Toro would like to talk to you (reused Vipers station).
  8. ^ I also know that some of the trees in the game are by N7 (his trees sets are well known in the RCT3 community).
  9. ^ XD, maybe it isnt the state but the insurance company? If so, they need to get a new one.
  10. Also lets remember that Ohio has very strict ride laws in order to let the park operate the rides, so if anything, we can blame worthless state laws...
  11. Best: I did like Atlantis Adventure's theming at Lotte World, the castle and the robotic dragon are pretty impressive. And even though not a coaster, the haunted house at Knoebels just sends out a old time vibe I like. Worst: Disaster Transport at Cedar Point mainly due to nothing working (a bobsled in the dark going to Alaska with no clue how you got there? Oh Cedar Fair ).
  12. I find Goliath max height restriction to be pretty strict (hopefully the new trains fix it whenever they come) I know its due to clearances but do the other GIB have this restriction or is it just this one?
  13. ^ SFGADV mine train has the new style of lapbars, IDK about SFOT.
  14. ^^ IMO, its good that TPS is doing since if more people test the game on different computers we can iron out more bugs and have a more finished product when the final release date comes.
  15. ^^ Just wondering but is this the first coaster to do this that isn't made by Mack?
  16. So you actually want more B&M wing rider? I actually liked Gatekeeper at Cedar Point even though it didn't meet my intensity needs (besides the first drop). This one seems better due to its themeing. I cant wait to see more of this park!
  17. I agree with El Condors new color scheme (red and green YUCK!) but Speed of Sounds color is ok.
  18. Interesting to see a B&M Family coaster, hopefully its as good as the Vekomas. ^^^ Even though it may seem like B&M doesn't build 2 across trains they have built a couple such as the new trains on Steel Dragon 2000 and the old Pysclone B&M wooden trains. They just have not put a two across seating on this track yet (excluding the staggered seating hypers which are really 4 across seating spread out) Steel Dragon 2000 Pysclone
  19. It's the week before the 4th of July so I doubt that would be too slow to open that part of the camp ground (I can see that in may).
  20. Just so you know, a friend of my parents tried to book a site in the electric only part of the camp ground and the receptionist said that part was closed (not for the off season!), so what are they planning on doing there, all I can think of is 1. Soak City expansion 2. Redoing those sites to be like the newer concrete sites. Any other ideas?
  21. Millennium Force at Cedar Point: On the first high-banked turn I305 at Kings Dominion: first turn after the first drop Nitro at SFGADV: In the helix
  22. 1. The Great Escape - 45 min north 2. SFNE - hour and a half east 3. SFGADV - 3 hours to the south (if traffic is good)
  23. Great Adventure is guaranteed to be open on the 12th because they have events listed for that day on their website. I'd think this will be their opening weekend... it's not looking like they're going to open earlier. I'm expecting Kingda Ka to be closed at the beginning of the season but I'm basing this only on the fact that it's Six Flags. Still... El Toro will be open and that's really all that matters. Who knows... they might surprise us and have Kingda Ka open but I seriously doubt it. They have an entire offseason to work on it and if we were talking about Dollywood or Cedar Point I'd have no doubt that the ride would be open in plenty of time but we're talking about Six Flags here. Even without Kingda Ka you'll love Great Adventure. Nitro, Batman and Bizarro are all great coasters and El Toro will make you forget that Kingda Ka even exists. It's by far the best ride in the park (maybe the best ride in the world according to last year's Mitch Hawker results)... Kingda Ka doesn't even come close. Seriously... don't stress over Kingda Ka potentially being closed. Look on the bright side, that's just more time you can be re-riding El Toro. Also, just a few random tips. - As far as Flash Pass, don't buy it before you get to the park. Even if money isn't an issue it might not help you at all on opening weekend because depending on the weather it can be pretty dead. If the lines never get beyond the merge points then it won't help you. - Be sure to check out Houdini's Great Escape while you're here. It's easy to miss but it's a pretty cool ride. - If Kingda Ka is open take your first ride in the second row because it's going to have the shortest line since most people bottleneck and don't realize that row is empty. Then ride it in the front... it's much better in the front but I'd suggest riding in row 2 first because it's an unreliable piece of crap and the longer wait for the front gives it more of a chance to break down. Better to get 1 ride in row 2 than no rides because you're waiting for row 1. - On El Toro, ride in the back car (I prefer one seat from the back). Once you pass the garbage can in the station there won't be long waits. For some reason nobody passes the garbage can. - With the Flash Pass you can reserve your next ride as soon as you pass the attendant at the merge point who checks your Flash Pass. Don't wait for the ride to be over before reserving El Toro again (I mean whatever ride you're going to reserve next), it's a waste of time. Also don't miss the parachute tower, it's a pretty rare ride now.
  24. ^ And yet they still allow all those dangerous knockoffs like this one to be built.... Happy Roller Coaster, Shijiazhuang Botanical Garden built by Hebei Zhongye Metallurgical Equipment Manufacturing Co.,Ltd
