Kentucky Kingdom (SFKK, KK) Discussion Thread

Wow, that blue looks really sharp. I'm really looking forwards to seeing this get erected. -
For me high school was pretty meh. I ended up being around 60ish in my class with a 98 weighted gpa. IIRC, the valedictorian had a 107ish gpa. I will say though, in my first semester and a month of college, i've had more fun than I did in 4 years of high school.

Mine changes pretty much on a weekly basis, but for now it is two fencers fencing with swordfish. I also try to maintain a very neat and tidy desktop.

Game - Guess this coaster...
scbt replied to coasterlover420's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Crazy mouse at Seoul Land I recognized it from the crazy arrow-esque track and single car trains. If I remember right there's a tpr video of this somewhere. -

I was really unimpressed by Vanish Point at Water Country USA, the drop was a cool sensation until I slammed my head into the bottom of the side and the rest of the slide felt like getting hit in the face with a fire hose.

Wow, looks like a lot of fun. How does this compare to the intamin zacspins seeing as they are pretty much the same concept? -

Orphan Rocker Coaster at Scenic World
scbt replied to verticalzero's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
From the last paragraph I guess I got confused with the thing saying people rode it, I found that elsewhere Here's a newspaper article from 1985 with a picture of people on it and the owner saying that all it needs is fine tuning of electronics and it will be open in the next few weeks. Article Link Also, here's another picture of people riding it. Link And here's where it said that it was ridden Link -
Orphan Rocker Coaster at Scenic World

Apparently it actually was functional a long time ago and they did ~500 circuits some with people on it according to this article. Link -
TPR New Front Page In Development!
scbt replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I like option 2 slightly more. I feel like having high res images would help it look even better. Also, I'd suggest maybe trying something other than having the font over top of the image as it makes the text tough to read. -
The Official TPR Video Thread!
scbt replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Wow, the quality of the video is much better than the one you did of Kraken with the glasses camera. -
What should be the next Six Flags clone?
scbt replied to Woodie Warrior's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I could definitely see them plopping down a few clones Superman Ultimate Flight at SFDK with maybe some different themes. -
Ugh, snow sucks.

Not particularly a neuter as I've never experienced it without the brakes on, but Alpengeist's MCBR slows down the train a lot and it kinda plods through the second half of the course. The zero g roll didn't seem to have enough velocity and it was more like a flop around head banger roll and the corkscrew and helix were devoid of forces as well.

The TPR Member Social Media Poll!
scbt replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I'm most active on Twitter and youtube, but I use facebook ocassionally. Also, spend a lot of time on reddit if that's considered a social network. -
Well, it always feels good to beat the Cowboys, but that was an ugly game. I honestly thought we were going to lose on that last drive, but thank you Boykin!

Jeez, after seeing those trains, it's not really not all that surprising that someone fell out, those look really unsafe! -
Cedar Point (CP) Discussion Thread
scbt replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
It took 7 years to get their latest coaster - Gatekeeper. They obviously are not in the new coaster race anymore. That's too bad... DISCLAIMER: the following is nothing more than an funny concept. I don't believe this to ever happen. Reader discretion is advised. I always thought it'd be neat for CP to install like four coasters at once and over take the coaster count for their 2020 celebration (assuming they have one). Imagine a zac spin, an el loco, a GCI, and a Mack Wild Mouse. Could all be done for under $25,000,000. I imagine that they would probably put in a smaller scale coaster or two between now and 2020, but then go all out for the 150th with something big. -
Sounds like another generic mtv "reality" show with pretty much no redeeming qualities, Fantastic.
