  1. The trains seem nice, but I'm definitely not a fan of the new color scheme. Also, It would have been nice if they had put at least a little bit of music themeing for the station.
  2. Everything looks great so far! I don't the the launch facing backwards would be too bad, but I'd imagine the sharp transitions between turns would be really painful taken backwards.
  3. HRRR at Universal Studios Orlando has exactly that - a 90º lift with i'd guess a 70º drop. It does look rather strange but rides fine.
  4. Seems like a fun ride, but that the theming they put on it just looks rather sad.
  5. Looks nice, I doubt those are the actual trains though. They look a lot like B&M sit down trains. Edit: Those Dragon Khan's trains photoshopped in.
  6. That's the old layout for Thunderbolt. I believe theyre doing the one showcased during the IAAPA below and it looks like there will be no pause at the crest like B&M's dive coasters. Aww, thats a shame. Still looks like it'll be a fun ride.
  7. So I was rewatching the animation provided for the ride and I noticed that there seems to be a hold at top of the lift like the ones on B&M dive machines. Can anyone confirm if this is true or not?
  8. Wow, that looks really good when you consider how terrible the knock off SLC's are.
  9. It'll probably be packed in the waterpark, but the regular park shouldn't be too packed. You're definitely best off waiting till you get to the park to decide if you want to buy a fast lane.
  10. Wow, looks great! I can honestly I never thought I'd see someone support a wooden coaster in the way that you did. I especially like the turn around following the lift with the Vertigo-esque supports.
  11. That dive loop looks completely ridiculous with that wooden support structure. If anyone had told me that a ride like this would get built a few years ago I would have called them crazy. Can't wait to hear all the reports once it opens!
  12. Saw this on reddit at /r/rollercoasters - apparently Cheetah Hunt now has a splashdown!
  13. Figured it's worth sharing here, but Bosque Magico in Mexico is planning on installing a S:UF Clone in 2015 as well and it will feature multi-train operations due to a station switch. http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=1443709#p1443709
  14. Honestly, an additon like this just doesn't seem to add up to me. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't actually a S:UF clone. The Height of 150ft. is roughly the same as the smaller of the 2 new S&S 4D zacspin type coasters. Fingers crossed.
  15. I'm not sure if it's been said before, but I would not be surprised if we saw PP/Giraffica show up at another park sometime soon. The ride itself is still relatively new without too much wear I'd imagine and also the fact most of the ride was through a concrete chute, it would probably be realtively easy for a park to buy the lift/drop and all the other hardware and possibly build a whole new layout to fit.
  16. Wow, great pov. I can only imagine what a ride on the beast would be like at night with the trims turned off. Edit: Hey! 500 posts, Yay!
  17. Here is the above mentioned video - you can see one of the cylinders become detached from the seats. I'd guess that they haven't got the braking quite figured out right and force is too much too quick.
  18. WOW! This looks incredible and its not even at full speed?
  19. Based on the video, it looks to me like the brakes start a little bit above the yellow section.
  20. Wow, that looks really good for looking like a ride that looks like its about to fall apart.
  21. ^They're reliable and a usually a big hit with the GP. They've had success with B&M many times, why should they change?
  22. I must say, Godzilla actually looks really good. Really didn't have much hopes for this movie when I first heard about it but after seeing the trailer, I'm now cautiously optimistic about it.
  23. The way the dive loop towers over the area looks absolutely incredible, even if it is a forceless ride, it looks spectacular.
