  1. If it had to be one of the two, I'd much rather it be The Inoculator. The Smiler just sounds a bit ridiculous. Maybe it's just the name of the logo guy man thing. We'll see.
  2. Pardon me for being ignorant, but what is the current state of affairs on Skyrush? What sort of work is being done on it, and when do people think it'll open in the upcoming season?
  3. This would be sweet victory. Premier did have YOLO Premier ride pins and lanyards...I wouldn't say it's that far off! I had just assumed that Premier had given up on calling it anything else.
  4. Although it'll probably mean a forceless ride, I love how every element of this coaster is so big. It just looks really visually impressive.
  5. That's crazy already. Are there any other coasters around that have such a high density of inversions? I guess Takabisha comes close but is's still pretty spread out.
  6. Doesn't that exact thing happen on Expedition Everest? I guess it's been the future for almost 7 years now.
  7. I think X-Flight has a pretty dramatic ending, granted I haven't been on it but the long inline twist with the near misses and the helix seems pretty exciting to me! The inline is indeed dramatic, but it's not the very end of the ride; that helix is. If the brakes came right after the twist, I would've thought "wow, that was incredible!". But with the helix, it gave me enough time to just think "Well that was better than average." I guess it all depends on what you consider the 'end'. Hooray for being pedantic? Anyway I would've loved to see one of the inline twists put in Gatekeeper's layout; they sort of seem like the signature of the Wing Riders. It probably could've been done. Instead of the helix off the MCBR, it could've been a downward 3/4 twist and turn to the left, sort of like The Swarm's twist but entering from the other direction and angling down. Or maybe that would be completely idiotic. It's a tossup.
  8. I was going more for parks that are visible from commercial flight paths.
  9. So I was traveling by air recently, and as I always do I tried looking for any parks, and then it occurred to me to ask TPR. Has anyone seen a theme park from a plane? If so, where were you going or coming from? I'm not sure if there actually are any near established flight paths, just curious.
  10. Nope. Not actually irony. The only feasible way that it could be considered ironic is if on this page there was an announcement of a new ride that was even taller than KK. And that's really stretching it.
  11. I've only been on X-Flight, but those vest restraints weren't uncomfortable at all for me. To each his own I suppose?
  12. The only time I've ever felt unsafe on a ride was on one of those Ring of Fire type rides on a boardwalk when I was 8. The lapbar thing kept coming loose during the ride, and considering the ride would slow down when it was at the top of the loop, I seriously felt in danger of falling out. I don't know if this is a faulty memory or not, because I refuse to ever go on a Ring of Fire again.
  13. Thank God. Now I no longer have to look at a map that doesn't even have Storm Runner on it. Quite a lengthy oversight, that was.
  14. The newest rumor on Screamscape is that Sky Rider is next on the chopping block, as part of this Great Purge that the whole chain is supposedly going to do in the near future. Personally I hope I can get up there again before it disappears; I was too little to ride it last time I went (1997), and I'd hate to leave that open-ended like that.
  15. I'm actually really interested in this ride. I know almost nothing about it. Great pictures!
  16. I actually rather enjoyed Anaconda when I rode it last summer. I would be a little sad to see it go, I feel like it adds more diversity to the park’s coaster collection. I just hope that if they do remove it then they put in something really cool over the lake… A wing rider that comes close to skimming the surface?
  17. I rode it in 1999. But I was 8 and I didn't know a good coaster from a bad one. Talk about wasted potential.
  18. Still haven't been on Vortex. I was planning on going back there next year, as I haven't been since 1994, and I figured I should get this credit before it disappears. Looks like I was right to think it would!
  19. This will definitely good for overall ridership, but as someone who actually enjoys RT in it's current form it'll certainly be weird. A Rolling Thunder that doesn't rattle your teeth and actually brakes smoothly? I'll believe it when I ride it.
  20. Those before and after GIFs are a really succinct way of visualizing the damage. It's really almost unreal.
  21. Because it won't make you black out from the forces, therefore it is not worth considering. Alternately, B&M's tend to draw in the crowds quite a bit, and that's not okay.
