Weird Roller Coaster Dreams
UrbanLegend replied to alpengeistdude321's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Had a pretty odd one about Magic Mountain (which I haven’t been to since 1999, by the way). I was hanging out in some field that was just sort of toward the back of the park. Like something you'd see in rural Pennsylvania… in Southern California. There were a few carnival rides there, but nothing MM-ish. Anyway, the sun started setting extremely rapidly, and I was like, "Crap, the park closes at 6! I forgot to ride anything!" So, for some reason, I decided to run to Tatsu. I somehow managed to find it and get my mysteriously-acquired Platinum Pass scanned, but then I was just dumped into the regular line. The indoor queue was a combination Test Track queue/ Wal Mart, for some reason. The last thing I though before I woke up was "Oh man, operations here are terrible, I'll never ride it in time!" -
Is there some sort of building or catering area in Movie Town that completely precludes the possibility of a ride or coaster or anything at all going in that section? Bizarro's only crime is that it's in a crappy area. Either un-make the area crappy by adding a flat or something, or bring Movie Town back to life. There's no need to relocate a coaster to make room when you've got such a withered themed area on the other side of the park.

Weirdest Things The 'GP' Have Said
UrbanLegend replied to maliboomer's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
This is more like Awesome Things The GP Have Said, but I don't think that's a thing. A train on El Toro comes back into the station. The people sitting in the row I'm about to take. The daughter is wiping tears off her face, and it's clear the dad's shirt almost flew off from the airtime. With childlike glee, the dad shouts, "Now THAT'S a ROLLER COASTER!!!" Especially great because my friend was about to ride it for the first time, and he was super freaked out about it. This didn't help. -
Just got back from a day at the park. Sky Screamer was lots of fun, but made me dizzy . Still offered some great views, which I couldn't really get otherwise because the Skyride was broken down. Also, late in the day, particles of... stuff were flying off of El Toro at the tops of the hills. I noticed this happened during last year's Fright Fest too. Does anyone know what this is? Plus, I decided to check out the area of Movie Town past Dark Knight, and there was nothing whatsoever. A security guard stopping us from going any further, and a wooden gate. I thought that part of the park looped back around, or has it always been a dead end? I also wondered what they were up to behind that gate. Fright Fest things? If Great Adventure decides to add some new major rides or coasters, they should seriously consider breathing life back into Movie Town. What's stopping them from doing so?

Favorite Coaster Sounds
UrbanLegend replied to TheAmazingCP's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Colossos makes the same noise as El Toro, and I LOVE them both! And of course, the sound of an Arrow lift chain. It's not much of a sound, but the silent WHOOSH of Skyrush makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
