So I made a song (I've actually made several in various mediums, but here's just one of them). It's pretty difficult to really tweak sounds on GarageBand for iPad but I did my best anyway. Share with your friends if you like it.

Got the East Coast pretty much covered. Not a surprise.

As if Great Adventure needs any more B&Ms. As much as one can argue that Rolling Thunder wasn't really a family coaster, that's how people saw it judging by the complaints. They could definitely market a racing-White-Lightning-type ride as a new option for families who want to take their kids on a wooden coaster who aren't ready for the craziness of El Toro. Hell, people might probably just think they're rebuilding/reopening RT and be happy with that.

If you're in the mood for having a completely idiotic grin spread across your face, listen to , the self-described "Human Horn." It brings me joy to listen to his... unique brand of scat singing. Particular favorites include "hoppy poppy poppy" and "shplaaaaaa."

So, I've been inspired by Chuck Klosterman's Hypertheticals cards to come up with a bunch of crazy questions of my own, and I'd be interested to hear how TPR answers these questions. Anyone can come up with some if they wish (obviously). Here's my first one: Let's say that, for the next 20 minutes, you are viewing the Internet as it will appear 20 years from now. For example, you can use the 2033 version of Google (or whatever replaces it) to search for any website that will exist in 2033. You cannot send links to anyone in the present, or otherwise share this information with anyone else; all they will see is the present-day version, or a 404 error. What do you do with the future Internet for the next 20 minutes?

Hersheypark (HP) Discussion Thread

Do Fahrenheit first, then Storm Runner. Skyrush you should do later in the day. Wildcat and Lightning Racers you can do at any time of day because people just sort of forget they're over there, especially LR. -

You could get an award for how far you read in to that post. Sounds like someone has a bright future as an AP English teacher. -

I honestly was fine on Anaconda the last time I went to the park. Just as long as you expect an old kinda-rough Arrow, you won't be disappointed. Or maybe I just happened to get a good ride on it. -
Heide Park Discussion Thread

I don't believe that's what he referring to. The drop on this and X-Flight fully invert further down the half loop (the tracks at about 90* when the half loop starts). It's slightly different than Gatekeeper and Swarm (where they reach the full 180* in the roll before entering the half loop). They're all still wing-over drops, but he was noting the shaping differences and similarities between the group. Yes, I was noting how both this and X-Flight have a rounder drop than The Swarm or GateKeeper. -

X-Flight has a similar drop profile I believe. Whee! -
I second the Flash Pass wholeheartedly (although please don't get the Platinum Pass. It'll make everyone hate you. I did it once and felt like such a douche.) Also I don't think the log flume is open, sadly (it wasn't when I went on Saturday). Definitely try to get either Safari Off-Road Adventure or Kingda Ka first thing in the morning. Definitely check out all the coasters (ride Bizarro in the front and Skull Mountain in the back for funky pops of air, El Toro in the back for mucho-insane air, KK in front for not-rattling, and protect your groin on the last hill of Mine Train). Sky Screamer, Parachutes, and Bumper Cars are also worth checking out. Best of the West has the least offensive food, plus you can get beer there. Make sure to look fornlornly upon Rolling Thunder, and also despair at the Ghost Town that most of Movie World has become.

Any updates on this ride? I'm surprised to hear nothing about it all of a sudden considering it's going up so quickly. Is the season over at Heide? -
I'm thinking of going to the park Saturday to get my last rides in on Rolling Thunder, but the website says it's temporarily closed. Is this just a bunch of hooey, or is it really closed already? Also would a Flash Pass of any sort be necessary for 2 people, considering that schools just started back up?

The Most Shocking Ride Removals
UrbanLegend replied to Kingsislandfreak's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I would agree with Rolling Thunder being removed. The rumors were definitely there, but I didn't think Great Adventure would actually do it. I certainly hope it's replacement will be awesome (RMC anyone?), but it can never replace the rough fun of an old wooden coaster. Oh well, I guess I have Comet and Thunderhawk for that still. -
Damn, am I glad I have friends in the Chicago area I can visit It's interesting that there are many rides now that have really long brake runs in lieu of MCBRs. There's Leviathan, Banshee, now this (you could argue GateKeeper but that already has an MCBR)... they couldn't have fit a double-up at the end there?

NOOOO ROLLING THUNDER! The dismay of it leaving balances the excitement of this ride. As terrible as Rolling Thunder may be for others, I always thought it was a really fun ride. Not all that rough. Plus I would always find myself grinning and laughing like an idiot the whole time (perhaps because it throws you around in unique and interesting ways), and provides a different kind of fun that isn't present anywhere else in the park. Not even whatever ends up replacing RT can imitate that fun, which I think can only be had from an old wooden coaster. Man, what am I doing? I shouldn't even be this upset about it
