  1. The park uploaded part 1 of the making of: Just a recap: Untamed is named after the supossed feeling of the ride. Hight of Untamed revealed: 36,5 meter (previously 32 meters) Graffiti is added to Merlin's magic castle for the Wilderness theme. The park had stopped trimming trees and plants this year in the Wildrness area to let nature take controll. They hint towards some elements being revealed and talking to RMC in the next part at the end. The video is good it shows a lot of whats happening to the area and to the ride. However I'm not sure about the new look for Merlin's castle, it's the entrance all over again (last winter).
  2. I found out yesterday night about this. Mostly shocked and denial was my reaction. I will not say he created my childhood, I'm a modern Marvel fan mostly of the MCU. But I have researched enough of Marvel this past decade and can only respect the legacy of Stan Lee and him working all the way into his 90's. I always knew he didn't have eternal life and at 95 you knew that wasn't very long, I always hoped he would see the MCU as it is come to an end, the universe he lay the founding stone by creating most of the original Avengers (of the MCU). I looked forward through these past few years to see him in every MCU movie and I look forward to the one in Avengers 4, because it might be the final cameo I got to witness from this legend.
  3. The Source I got the name from tells that the logo isn't in it's the definitive logo. I hope they still change it because I agree with you. On the Youtube making off: I love it way better then that Snapchat stuff they did whith Lost Gravity. I'm quite exited to follow this.
  4. Past night Robin Hood made it's last rounds around the track. After closing hours (23:00 October 28th) there was a special event (around 01:00 October 29th) for 24 people to say goodbye to the Wooden coaster. It was here that they revealed the name of the RMC: Untamed. Untamed will open July 1st 2019. Groundwork had been started last week while the ride was still operational but now with the park closed till April 2019 the real work can start. A spokeperson has promised that they will keep fans posted on the lasted developments. There has yet to a full lay-out reveal. Source. Personal thoughts: I like the name, despite being a bit bland for an RMC if you ask me. Saturday there was a rumor the ride might be called Timber Trip. So it being revealed as Untamed was a nice surprise. I'm a bit disapointed they didn't reveal more but they only promised the name so I can't be too mad.
  5. Seems to me that Europe allows more RMC Unleashed. I mean Wildfire and this coaster look so much better then Lightining Rod, Goliath or Outlaw Run. Energylandia really worked itself on my radar I might find my way to there sometime in the future.
  6. Just saw Venom. It was okay, yeah Okay. I enjoyed myself watching the movie but it's one of those movies if I skipped it I wouldn't hate myself for it. I think the version of Venom they use (or created) in this movie works for the movie, I have no Idea how he compares to the Venom of the comics or Spider-man 3. But this Venom could be cheered on and be terrible depending on the mood and that was what I was looking for. All said the end fight I thought was a mess. This was the first time in a movie even I couldn't make up who is who. What I could gather of the fight made sense however, it just was too bad you didn't have a clear diffrence.
  7. I just wonder why they leave two squars open like that while they finish the rest. I mean I look at a picture where they are much further with the wall (having a nice wood like patern on the top and the shield completly black with a gray dragon(?) desing in it.) and those holes stand out because they only have iron fram work to finish the shield. Either you F.L.Y goes through it what I find wierd because it seems like a soundbarrier or a small second ride? (wishful thinking). I also hope the start of this themework now means at the start of 2019 season that ugly fence is gone and instead the area is blocked behind this beautiful wall. And that train off thought brought me back to believe they do plan a 2019 opening. Edit: I know now where the holes are for. some crazy arch pieces. The wall turns out beautiful though.
  8. ^ Well the actual fairy tales that they depict in the forest all have dark ending. This is just another example of it. Fairy tales where created to teach children not to lie or disobey orders and behave decent or els something bad happens. We're now on a point most of these stories are twisted to something beautiful with happy ever after. Learning how this one goes made me think it's a tame story. Learning more and more about this project gets me more exited for it. Also was glad to hear these aren't the final lay-out. These aren't really to exiting although I doubt much more will come ot off the final design I'm kind of hoping for around 300 meter for each coaster. Also some people figured out that the trains seem to go into the oposite directions based on the concept art, That would be great to see and really make it diffrent from Joris en de Draak. If it are powered coasters you don't have much of a race anyways so going into the same direction doesn't make it too exiting to look.
  9. I'm happy and sad at the same time by this news. Happy the Bob finally gets replaced, It was about 3 months ago I typed this: The reopening has been delayed 3 weekends in a row without any good sign that it will open soon. This coupled with the fact that the ride isn't allowed to operate with rain makes me much rather see it get broken down and replaced before the park adds another attraction. It now wastes space and money. So glad to hear it happen. That doesn't mean I'm not sad this classic ride has to go. I had a love/hate relation with that ride, Loved the specialness of the Intamin Bobsled coaster and it was a fun ride, but the pain and the unconformable trains made me think twice before riding it. As for the replacement. I like it and dislike it. I like it because it's a kiddie coaster and the park didn't have one yet something what I always thought of surprising. But I also dislike it because it is a kiddie coaster for 2 reasons. 1. A kiddie coaster is not for me, minor gripe. The Bob is a family coaster So now we lose one. 2. Location, Losing the bob there pushes all the coasters to the back of the park. Even if the Intamin one comes it will be in the back of the park this causes a real divide in attraction types in the park. The Bob did what it could to bring some balance into that mix and I understand that you can't place a coaster in Marenrijk because that's the closes point to the houses of people. I now fear that balance will get broken. Point 1 I can live with easily if looopings is correct and a Intamin coaster will be added in 2021 then we don't have a huge loss there. Point 2 is a real concern in my eye's. Edit: I just learned these might be Powered coasters I was thinking it would be Younstar for a second. This could change my opinion a lot about these rides because Powered coasters with the right theming and lay-out can pass for family coasters which are still perfect for very young people (Where the ride is going to be focused on) if you ask me. I mean look at Flying Fish in Thorpe park, I see that as a kiddie coaster with it's joyfull look and lack of theming. But Rexplorder in Mirabilandia who has almost an exact same lay-out (minor bank diffrences here and there) I see as a family coaster with it's more rugged theming. So I might not see this as a kiddie coaster but a family coaster when I know more about the ride, but only time can tell. It would leave me without concern about the coaster spreading.
  10. ^ & ^^ While I agree with you both. I do however think it's way way to early to lose sight of that 2019 opening as many people do.I learned my lesson at Klugheim that in May was still a giant construction site but a month later looked amazing and was done. Honestly I do agree with the people that it's a long shot from finishing but they still have about 3/4 of a year before it's July 2019. If there was 1/2 a year left and it looked like this I can see why people lose hope. Now July 2019 sounds to far away for me to say this can't absulutly be done by then. I am very much aware that it might not open before 2020, I still don't believe it for sure won't open in 2019 like these people that start to annoy me.
  11. What a mess I love it. I follow this project as much as I can wherever I can. It's starts to annoy me that people already made up their minds that F.L.Y. opens in 2020 and not in 2019 because it's "Far from finishing". I just wonder Am I to optimistic that this project can be done in 9 to 10 months? Because I still believe it's opening next year July.
  12. Babbelboom is Dutch for Chat tree. So he's a Chat tree whit the name Kniesoor which is Dutch for Grumbler. I hope that answers your question. Anyways Like the idea, bit surprised by this second announcement for the Fairytale forrest. I only can't wrap my head around the fact however that you first announce the new addition for 2019 before the late 2018 one but hey I take it.
  13. ^ I heard that rumor of the B&M replacing Bob earlier today, funny thing about 3 to 4 years ago I once came up with an idea: A B&M flying coaster with a Phoenix burning down the Bob theme. But if the Bob gets replaced by a B&M I still had my dream come true it just was in 3 diffrent parks that are closeby. 1. B&M replaced Bob. 2. Flying coaster in Phantasialand. 3. Fenix theme in Toverland. Back on topic. I also read today that the plan also promises a new attration every year till 2030, I don't know I never fully read the entire plan (To much text for me to care). But if that's true I really look forward to the upcoming 12 years, even more if that includes 2 roller coasters and I wouldn't be surprised if there is a third one in those years, and yes I also look forward to the 4 to 5 fairytales that no doubt are calculated into that. Also I expect 1 darkride in those 12 years. That still leaves 3 to 5 unknowns, Log-flume?
  14. ^ I was surprised by this news didn't think we would get a attraction or fairytale before 2020. In other big news: Yesterday night the local government has approved the Efteling for expansion, this doesn't mean they can start to dig in the new ground. People in the neighborhood can still go to court and one person (With some other locals) has hinted before that he Might do that, although he stated that he believed they already have done and changed all they could. Also each attraction still needs to be approved separately. The local government has now approved the expansion of park borders and the growth of 5 million to 7 million by 2030. There was some concern about the extra traffic and (sound) pollution. The expanded borders also means a roadway (de Horst) has to move to the new edge of the park. Park borders are now allowed to expand to the east and the west, also to the west the park plans to add more park space. Overall I think it's just a waiting game now till the park announces a new attraction on the news land. Which is the rumored Intamin family launched coaster for 2020.
  15. Makes sense to me. K3 was something I wasn't able do dodge when I was still a kid and Plopsaland and the Girl group are both owned by Studio 100. Thinking about it more it shocked me that K3 wasn't this prominent represented earlier. Truth to be told I thought they broke up but investigation made me realize they are still at it just with 3 completely new singers, that just weird to me.
  16. ^ I will not lie that would surprise me.
  17. I don't know the brown track kinda gives me the feeling your trying to hide it. I don't know when I heard the color would be brown I was taken a back, I don't hate it and don't love it at the same time. I can't deny that I got exited when I saw that picture though, that is something good. As the for the "new" Element I'm predicting it now. A: We get a 360 degree twist upwards hill then a 360 degree twist downhill and it will be called twisted hill. B: A Step-Up Under Flip but backwards (The diffrence of a Immlemann versus a Dive-Loop) At the Turn around. C: A 270 degree flip upwards and a 270 degree flip downwards int he opposite direction. No The last inovated element coming form RMC was the Zero G stall the rest was like: "let's twist some more here or there." But that's just my opinion, Although maybe they surprise me this time then I gladly take my words back.
  18. I hope these parts are for Skyplex. It's been quiet for a while about this project but if this is a sign that vertical construction is about to begin I take it.
  19. I'm honestly surprised about this news, like this is still consider a new attraction this day and age. Don't get me wrong it's just I can't for the life of me remember a completely new 4D/5D movie theater being installed these past few years.

  21. * Whoops pressed the wrong button
  22. I really wanted to revisit this post from over a year ago from myself. So recently I made a friend that really enjoys riding roller coasters, he isn't en enthusiast like me he just likes to ride coaster, the more inversions the better for him. I have to say the guy kinda annoys me. Usually after riding all the roller coasters he gets boarded and wants to go home while for me the park holds more gems. This caused me to fall back in my own ways of going alone again, and certain times I just want to be an enthusiast (like the reopening of the Python in the Efteling) then I really can't take him because he will ruin my day. I even was glad that he couldn't come to the opening of Fenix Toverland, I ended up waiting for hours in a queue of a broken down ride talking to complete strangers and having fun and spend the rest of the day hanging out with an enthusiast like me who did the same thing (we met in the queue). My friend would have been bored after half an hour nagging if we could please ride a ride that wasn't broken. Next year I plan to take an annual pass on Walibi to see the construction of the RMC Robin Hood, when he heard that he said he also wants a annual pass next season, he doesn't understand that I take it just to look at the construction of a new ride. I like to have the guy around form time to time but usually I prefer to go alone noways. That said I did meet two coaster enthusiast like me on my trips. One at the Fenix opening as stated above and one in Movie park Germany in the queue for Star Trek (this was last year). Both times just having someone to talk about coasters on an even plain field really was enjoying. Hanging around other enthusiast really brought the best out in me like riding gems that would have been hidden for years under my nose, these rides I would have never done if I where alone or with my friend. What I'm trying to say is: I found a new appreciation for going alone. I still bring my friend to parks form time to time it just doesn't compare to have a enthusiast that pushes me to do the weird things.
  23. To be honest I sat here fingers crossed hoping it would be a coaster. I'm trying to find an excuse to revisit this park. While this doesn't do it for 2019 this does make me consider a stop in 2020 at the park.
  24. I figured that was the cut backs that caused the Galactica problem. It was such a shame because by then I had not felt it anywhere. Nemesis ran 2 trains, Smiler had constantly a train in the station, Oblivion at people and Th13teen had 3 trains. So a huge contrast came when riding Galactica. The only major drawback at that time was that some ride didn't open untill 11:00 like Galactica. While I understant Wicker Man being new and there for the right balance has to be found, they should have seen after 2 3 groups that they could make the groups smaller with about 5 to 10 people and have it flow more. I'm sure they figure it out though. So that was Nemisis. Like I said I think it's a solid ride but after riding it I didn't understand all the hype around the ride anymore. We thought about taking the Skyride but each time we looked the ride was hanging on one spot. So we figured walking would be quicker. Thanks for the tip anyways.
  25. So I had my first experience with Alton Towers a week ago. I really wanted to review the park because it impressed me, 4 hours in and only seen half the park it made me want to visit it again. The rides I came for where the roller coasters though and not all did impress me. (These are in no order): Runaway Mine Train: Was what I expected of it a little under-themed. Spinball Whizzer: Fun little ride. Rita: I rode Desert Race pretty much the same just the ending on Desert Race is better. So those where the coasters that kinda fel in line with expectations. The Secret Weapons, which I looked forward to the most, surprised me all, not all in the good way though: Oblivion: The first Dive coaster so expectations where very low on this one but that speed in that tunnel put a smile on my face. I wished we could hung a little longer though it almost felt like we went straight in. Galactica: For years I wanted to do a Flying coaster, that position your in hanging from your stomach just looked weird and I wanted to try that. I didn't like how the park handled the operations on this ride both stations open and one train per station caused a very slow traffic queue also keeping entire rows empty on a run didn't help neither did keeping half the train VR and the other half not, why not one station VR the other not? That said I did have a lot of fun on my first flying coaster it was a ride experience I couldn't prepare myself for. Th13teen: I really felt like this ride was held back form being better, I refer here to the trim-brake on the first drop Instant ride killer if you ask me. It made it a family coaster with a "horror" theme that didn't feel right. Smiler: This ride surprised me the most. I expected inversion after inversion to get boring, but the fact that you don't repeat one inversion for more then 2 times in a row really helped the ride stand out as one I was glad to ride. Also I loved the queue being under the ride, I love coaster interaction so that had me instantly. Wicker Man: I loved the preshow but I hated that they needed to cram it so full. After the preshow you have a small queue for going to the train and that small line couldn't handle that many people what just hold everything up for the next group to arrive. Whit this being my fourth GCI I did expect some more friendly roughness to the ride, I love how the other 3 just toss me around making their ride feel wild but this one didn't deliver that aspect as much as I like it to do. That said I still think it's a solid ride. Nemesis: I wanted to safe Nemesis for the last ride to review. Nemesis has a reputation of being one of the greatest coasters out there. I can't say I agree. I thought Nemesis was a solid ride but that's it. Right now it's in the top 10 steel coaster of my on spot 10 and it's not the only B&M inverted in the top 10, on spot 8 I have Black Mamba. Now the only thing I have to add to that is that I only rode it once early (around opening hours) So maybe I shouldn't judge to hard. My question is: is it a lot better after 1 P.M.? If so I promise the next chance I have I will ride it later on the day. I did manage to ride a couple of other rides with Hex being a major stand-out. It really helped that it was part of the towers. The park felt pretty big though sometimes without any real shortcuts so walking was part of the day. Also the gardens, although beautiful, was something we ended up regretting going through. I underestimated the amount of elevation difference the park really had, stairs so much stairs. Overall I had a lot of fun this visit and look forward to a next one in the future. Edit*: Made it easier to read.
