  1. The Efteling August 31 and september 1st.
  2. I don't mind riding a Boomerang if the queue is under 10 minutes, maybe because I only have done 2. I do have an issues with the rides though, they really feel like they weren't meant to go backwards. I mean when the ride goes forward they can be slightly rough but overall okay, when they go backwards that looping and cobra roll just feel way to small what gives this pulling effect on your body. I'm no stranger to going backwards on a coaster but the boomerang just makes it feel like its not suppose to do that.
  3. Oblivion the Black Hole in Gardaland two days ago.

  5. Next week I'm Italy to visit Mirabilandia. I just went over a round on RCDB where I checked on coasters under construction and found out Desmo Racer had opened yesterday. (Settings are in Dutch so the date is DD/MM/YY) Also found one article that seemed to confirm this on Mirabilandia forever. I'm hoping to find out if people know more? Also I was sure when a couple of days ago when I check for prices and opening hours I landed on the Desmo Racer page and it seemed like there was this disclaimer (was in Italian even on the English site) that seems to be gone, but I'm not sure anymore if I saw what I saw but what I was sure on was that Desmo Racer was at the end of the Intense line up and now is in the front of it. I'm not sure at all anymore.
  6. Almost time for my Italy trip. So next week I will go to, Gardaland and Mirabilandia the Order we'll see there.
  7. Joris en de Draak at the Efteling yesterday.
  8. So I've been doing some research but I can't find my answer. Does Mack Rides still sell bobsled coasters? I mean there last one dates back to 2001 (according to RCDB), but there website still has them under the Classic rides banner, but I understand that can also mean they still support the product. For people wondering why I ask that here. Recently we've gotten a date when the bob at the Efteling closes, this would be September 1st, this restarted the discussion whether Powered coasters are a good replacement or not. Some people suggested a Mack Bobsled coaster would have been better, I actually had a long time where I thought it would be the perfect replacement for the bob, a bob for a bob. So I went to Mack's website and came to the conclusion they might not make them anymore, I just wonder if anybody can confirm this. returning on that closing date, on a Dutch action site the chairman of the Efteling is selling one of the bob cars, highest bid is now €150.000,- what is insane if you ask me , there he states that on September 1st they will say goodbye to Bob. Yesterday I was in the park and asks some staff if this is true, they weren't sure but it coincided whit what they heard.
  9. Turned out to be yesterday. however I ended the day with a ride on Speed of Sound.
  10. Untamed on opening day. I think it won't be long before I sit in that one again.
  11. As promised pictures from the opening day. Early in the morning they where still getting everything ready. At the mainstage it was made very clear when it would be open. Because the section of Untamed was closed off till 15:00h they opened up this path for the first time in years. Final look from the other side. The Mad man I was I stood at the gate at 13:30 (The official opening for Press) And I was glad that I did because crowed gathered fast behind me. That gave me chance to see these figures up close. And a better look at this car, I saw it in the morning but they where to fast for me to take a picture of it then. No excuse to not know where to find Untamed. We where informed right before the first train climbed the lift so we got to see it and then only saw fireworks from then out. The crowed about an hour before it opened. It grew way bigger. The March to the queue. And Our first good look at the ride. How it litteraly just opened. The old pieces of Robin Hood as theming. The rest of the theming was Love everywhere. Beautiful Element. Nice drop. First train I got to see run the track. Perk of being early. Lifthill was kind of weird how the train hooked. Like it was bouncing, I cannot describe it better. Just a beautiful ride. Con's of being late. This thing was leaking all over the queue. Here I climbed the stairs. I regret nothing. Lovely part. Station theming. Vieuw from the exit. I love this logo. For ride two I took the single rider line because I was alone. the first time I took the regular queue because I like to see that. These stamps they gave away at the exit of the ride after my first ride I saw many people with that stamp on their forehead so I sacrificed an arm end ended up with two one on either side. My first ride I could avoid it the second time I couldn't. It really was a fun day. I regret nothing even that 1,5 hour wait.
  12. Hey I just got back from Walibi to ride Untamed. (Pictures tomorrow) All I say now it was very busy but the crowed was in a good moot despite the 15:00h opening. The queue peaked I suspect ended at the 1,5 hour mark. Also there was a slight problem after about an hour when one of the trains got stuck on the lift hill. Review with spoilers. Absolutely love it. The Double Inverting Corner stall is a very weird normal stall, but the ride really kicks to life at the double up after that, an airtime machine. the wooden structure provides some nice head choppers what during my second ride still had me keep my arms down. The best part if you ask me is the uphill barrel roll at the end, you actually rush into it but has a nice hang-time.
  13. Next park Bobbejaanland June 29th. After that the exciting one Walibi Holland July 1st.
  14. It really bothers me that theme park's don't show off the ride at their best. I mean that brake section look unnecessary like this. I'm however looking forward for once to visit Bobbejaanland the 29th. I mean I like to see what they did with lands of legends, and I really look forward to a backwards ride on Fury.
  15. That onride actually looks really good, I'm even more pumped about that 270 Degree double inverting Corner stall and that last barrel roll. I'm looking forward to July 1st now.
  16. It's apparently a request from Mack Rides what Walibi is willing to try out. The park doesn't know yet if this feature will ever be experience by guest. Safety inspection will be a big part in that, but you really opened my eyes, there has to be a major change to either the station or the trains for it to happen. My source is the same as the video, Looopings.nl. I for one really hope to experience this, looks fun and scary.
  17. I saw detective Pikachu yesterday. The movie wasn't the best it could be if you ask me, but I thought it was a good movie. No my reaction to the "evil plan" was like: "Okay, that's a thing now." No it was pretty weird but I thought to myself it's a video game movie it's okay to be weird at some points, but I was shocked for a couple of minutes. Not a lot of long action scene's with this being more of a mystery movie that's okay. I also like some character moments. Pokémon Design was just fantastic if you ask me, there where many moments I got excited just because of a Pokémon I saw. So yeah there where some things I'm still scratching my head over but overall I liked it, it wasn't great but good.
  18. Just saw the final Inversion on a Dutch Forum. The person couldn't link the official source so I won't post it here. But the inversion looks like a low to the ground version of Outlaw Run's 153 Degree Over-banked Curve. That means that the final lay-out will be as shown down below (I know the image isn't 100% correct it's more the idea that counts): (The final inversion is on place 15 and will curve towards Airtime Hill 9 not away from it.) I'm a fan of it. I just love the fact that all the inversion's are spread out around the lay-out, It really points out how much wasted potential Robin Hood had with it's flat parts at almost every corner.
  19. Current speculation is that it's another heartline roll, I believe. Makes Sense Low to the ground would fit behind a tree. I took 3 rides in Space Shot and a ride in the Ferris Wheel Still couldn't place the last inversion, before and after the second over-banked Turn are the only places it would fit. (Those where also the only two places I couldn't see from either angle) I did hear that the guy from the Making of video's revealed the last inversion would be revealed in the making of nr.7 so my guess we will likely know the answer week 20.
  20. Just back from another visit to the park and they've completed alot more track. Also I'm now sure about 95% of the final lay-out, only the final Inversion is hard to place But I have an idea where it is. Something is new here. Chain is in place. 270 Deree Double inverting Corner Stall is also done. Queue taking Shape. Overbanked turn. Station interior. Uphill Barrel Roll is done. To end some shots from the ferris Wheel. Very good look at the Overbanked Turn. Overvieuw. Only section that isn't finished now. I'm also suspecting the unknown inversion to be behind these tree's. What is it with this coaster and outward Banked Turns? And Yes Lost Gravity is open angain but today it was only running 2 trains.
  21. ^^ I'm completely aware of all these movie's coming (soon), but yes Endgame feels like the end of a chapter or book that you know will get a sequel. It's in a sense over. I'm not planning on leaving the MCU anytime soon, but when the second chapter or book closes in who knows 11 years from now I just know it wouldn't be the same and as satisfying as Endgame, or in the unlikely event everybody returns and we get the team ups I can't right now image we will and then it will still be approach with caution. No I believe the MCU has peaked and I'm okay with that. That's how I have that sense closure.
  22. Huh. Maybe I'm just not invested enough in the characters to get emotional or I just felt that everything I expected to happen in this film happened, but at no point did I feel the slightest bit of "sadness" in any way towards anything that happened in the movie that would lead me to even think about "crying." I also perhaps, just don't take comic book super hero movies THAT seriously, because, you know... they can travel through time and fall off buildings smashing into the ground or get punched in the face with giant weapons without showing a single scratch, but that's just me! I can't speak for everyone in my theater sitting off-course. But I can see your point Robb, in a way these are pieces created to have a fun time at the theater with family or friends. Heck I had a 20 minuted drive from the theater to home tears running down my face and laughing at myself that I was crying about a movie aimed to teenagers, I felt pretty dumb. Thinking about it better, in 2012 I joined the MCU when Avengers hit theaters. Back in 2005 after Star Wars episode 3 I took a back seat around theaters only returning once in 2007 for POTC 3 and once in 2009 for Transformers 2 and twice in 2011 for POTC 4 and Transformers 4. As you can see I stuck with what I knew, I did see a trailer for Captain America 1 back in 2011 and I was genuinely interested until the part in the trailer where he run around in a blue PJ as I called it then, I didn't care for another action movie about one guy that could bring one maybe two sequels. Then late 2011 early 2012 (I can't remember) There was this "Hype" About a movie called the Avengers. I though why not watch the trailer? What got me "hooked" was the multiple superheroes working in a team. I remember thinking that it could be a universe I might get invested in. Right before going to watch Avengers my parents watched the movie Thor, I picked up only parts of the movie not the entire thing but Thor and Loki they looked familiar then it hit me. They where the same characters I was going to see in the Avengers movie, Thor was a movie of what came before, I wondered did the other Heroes have their own movie and I found out most did. I figured if I enjoy the Avengers I give them a shot. Well that all brought me to today (sorry for the rambling but I felt it was a bit necessary to get in my head). I've seen every MCU movie since in theaters, Seven years I spent watching these movies to see where all these characters I invested time in end up that indeed got me to cry. I figure I was more hooked then I myself thought.
  23. I'm back. ^ I had a great time. But a couple of weeks are you sure? I mean I got scared for spoilers a week ago.
  24. Avengers: Endgame. Well I'm kind of a emotional wreck. I laughed, I cheered (internally), I cried. Like Robb said the movie is very predictable but that isn't a bad thing, it's all in the name off pay-off. I'm happy I don't go to a theater where people uncontrollably yell and cheer, but there where some jokes the whole theater laughed at and there was a moment the theater was extremely quiet I just heard boxes of popcorn fell and crying around the theater. Marvel really deserves praise for the entire MCU, I mean for creating an universe loved by millions or billions, I believe they showed a cinematic universe can work if you take your time and money to let it grow by it self, that is the lesson I think other studios should take from the MCU. There is indeed no mid or post credit scene but I do recommend sitting partly through the credits it was the best credits in the MCU if you ask me.
  25. So my final hour on the Internet before Avengers Endgame is almost over. I'm super exited and scared to be able to watch it tomorrow. All left to say is: "That up there, that's the Endgame." And "We're in the Endgame now."
