Bobbejaanland Discussion Thread
RCT3Bross replied to Noobitizer's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I feel so stupid for not noticing that. It's clearly shown in the red lay-out that those would be turn table's. That's what you get for focusing on the blue 3D redering more then the details. As for theming It would be nice to see Bobbejaanland to combine it with Sledgehammer for sure but the park isn't known for connecting rides with themes so I expect a brand new stand-alone theme for this coaster. -

Looks very cool and a bit wierd. I think this is perfect for Bobbejaanland. I don't understand the wierd S-bends before and after the station. Other then that it seems to use the space avialable to it's max with that brake run ending in a half loop. -
I return at last. I made a choice it's going to be Blackpool and we're departing this Saturday. Here's the thing we don't drive our car instead we're going by plane then trains and busses. Now we did our fair share of information hunting already but we're stuck on some questions. We don't want to buy train tickets in advance because we don't want to be stuck on certain trains at certain times this means we're going to buy loose tickets we know it's more expensive but we can't seem to figure out how everything works. For example the Trains station at Blackpool doesn't have a ticket booth how are we suppose to buy ticktes from there? Also busses, we expect we can just buy tickets at the driver, right? (We are aware on all around England train ticktes but we're too late to buy those, that happens when we plan to do everything last minute. ) I hope TPR has some answers for me left this short notice.

What is your next park?
RCT3Bross replied to onewheeled999's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!

Yesterday I saw Ant-Man and the Wasp. The movie was pretty much what I expected a nice breather moment in the MCU behemoth. I apreaciate this movie coming after Infinity War I expect Captain Marvel to be very heavy in set-up to Avengers 4. Ant-man is one of the smaller MCU heroes who got a movie and I'm of an opinion that makes their universe feel more real, not every hero has to stop a criminal trying to take over the world some fight lesser villians who still have to get stopped. Ghost however felt underused she showed up (I felt) from out of nowhere and then had to compete against a villian that's just there for the sake of it I guess. The MCU has reached the point where the movies start to flux in how important they are, If you you look at a bridge between Civil War and Infinity War there isn't really one to be found, It's just a devolopment movie for a group of characters we already know. I know we got used by now that each chapter in the MCU worked to Infinity War but this movie didn't feel like it added new lore. I'm okay with it because I feel like after Avengers 4 the MCU will have a couple of Years where they don't build up to the next major event.

Toverland Discussion Thread

So I rode Fenix today it really is a lot better then Flug der Dämonen if you ask me. This ride has a nice pop of airtime and some high speed turns. The technical difficulties it suffered this morning caused great fun in the queue what caused me to stay in the queue hoping it would open. It was hot so to get some free water form the park was very welcome and after waiting for over 2 and a half hours (yeah we where insane ) we got wristbands that allowed us to sneak past part of the queue when it would open. This causes me to take that time and ride Merlin's Quest which was just beautiful it makes me want to see Toverland go all the way and do a real Darkride. I ended up jumping back in Queue for Fenix after that as by then it was testing About half an hour later I ended up riding it for the first time left wing front row. I regret nothing, Fenix is a very solid ride and a welcome addition to Toverland. I also wanted to share some thoughts on Port Laguna. This new Entrance area looks very good. But it lacks something to make you want to sit there and enjoy, it really is the area you come in and walk by. It has a show with Magiezijn but that wasn't something special and it has a game gallery with 3 games. Other then that you have 2 shops and a ice-cream bar. I think this area could have used a restaurant. This was my fourth experience with Toverland. Today the game changed for the better I entered the park and had a completely different feeling then a couple of months ago when I last visited the park. Not entering inside a hall just feels a lot more welcome in my eyes. Toverland felt grown up today they really needed this new entrance. I already look forward to the next step. -

I can't say that onride makes the ride look more exiting then Flug der Dämonen but I heard some good reactions in the Live-stream today so I look forward to saturday. -

The reopening has been delayed 3 weekends in a row without any good sign that it will open soon. This coupled with the fact that the ride isn't allowed to operate with rain makes me much rather see it get broken down and replaced before the park adds another attraction. It now wastes space and money. -

The current entrance is still going to be used in winter months. In November the park is still open but then it's just the two hall's the outside area's are all closed, then they want to use the current entrance. Just two weeks left, can't wait. It almost looks done. Now I almost like to see nature do it's magic but that takes time. -

Seems like Juy 7 will be a big day at Toverland. We already knew 2 new themed area's will be added to the park with two big attractions and a new entrance location with new parking lot. They also announced earlier that two of their existing rides Log Flume Backstroke and junior coaster Boomerang will get new names, Backstroke will become Expedition Zork and Boomerang will be named Toos Express. Now a third attraction will also be renamed July 7 Hara Kiri will become Drakenslangen (Dragon Snake). But they won't stop there. 2 themed area's will recieve new names also July 7 Magic Forest, home of the Log Flume and Bobkart, will be renamed Wunder Wald to fit the new Austrian theme the area is developing. Also Troy Area, named after the Coaster, will be renamed Ithaka to develop further on the story of Troy. Ithaka won't be new for the park as they already have a Horse attraction known as Paarden van Ithaka (Horses of Ithaka). They really seem to make July 7 one of the most important dates in the park histroy. Source -

I can't say I felt the train got bracked on those sections, but It felt like the train lost more momentum thanks to them. I didn't feel airtime like anywhere in the ride even the last two hills (where I did expect it.) where just hills. Also I expected that last helix to pull some forces but the only turns that pulled some where the flat turns connected at the first MCBR. So I guess they thightend the brackes. Calamity mine had more exitment if you ask me. -

So Yesterday the park officially opened Tiki Waka. I didn't know that when I was in the park yesterday that that would happen but. The area was cut of from regular guest (like me) till 1 P.M. so I got my ride on it. But when I was in the Queue I saw a woman wearing a card that said "Assistant Manger" Not knowing the ride had just been officially opened I found that weird. So the reason I shared this is because what happened in front of this woman's face, two line jumpers and she didn't seem to notice. I was shocked she didn't look up to the duo as one was trying to convince the other that it was a bad idea and where demanding attention like that. I was shocked that happened and wondering why there was someone wearing a Assistant Manger card riding Tiki Waka on a Saturday. So I didn't complain or say anything I was just completely elsewhere whit my head. (Source it opened yesterday). P.S. In hindesight I should have figured it out, there where several people in suits that had access to the area and the party vibe after 1 P.M. in the area should have gave it away. I also like to take my time and give a review on Tiki Waka. The ride was kind of meh to me. On-rides and off-rides make the thing look way faster then it's ought to be. I was expecting G Sengte Sau level of excitement but it wasn't even close. I still better ride experience then Loup Garou, Vampire and Cobra but those aren't hard to beat in my opinion. Besides can somebody tell me how every time I'm in Walibi Belgium there is virtually no line for all coasters except Loup Garou? Like all other coaster I could literally walk on but there was the 40 minute queue for Loup Garou, I'm of the opinion that that's the worst ride the park has. -
Just saw Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom. Really enjoyed it. It really went the direction I expected the francise to go to after Jurassic Word (1). I like what they did with this sequel movies but I hope they can now keep it in their pants and make a trilogie so 1 more movie and the put it back in the box for atleast 10 years. Like I said I enjoy these new movie's, but I don't want them to go on the Star Wars path and make an entire universe out of it. I just had one complaint Ian Malcom's return felt kind of just there for the sake of it. I just hoped there was more of him. Other then that no real complaints.

Saw Deadpool 2 yesterday, kinda late on that one. But yeah wasn't a huge fan of it. I liked the movie, I just thought it draged the good depressing part on for too long. The jokes in that time frame felt sometimes forced. I did think there were some good jokes in the movie. I don't know might be because I expected a fun version on Terminator, that didn't happen till about the 2nd act or so. I think that and the fact that the movie didn't surprise me make me feel like: "Okay, could have skipped it or not wouln'd hate myself either way."

Seems like they won't rebuild Piraten then, to expensive maybe? It will have big shoes to fill the void. They really are working through a check list, They really seem to just shake it off and go further forward which is only greath for the park that they can have that mindset. It will be fine, they know what they are doing Oh I'm sure they are, I just expected it took some time to get an official statement. I thought they might first look at the damage but it's good to see them keeping it positive. The Teacups will open later this week according to Facebook. This doesn't surprise me at all. It wasn't damaged so all they have to do is move some fences and it's good to go again. -

Sound very fast. I know it's mostly concrete but still it can be damaged by fire and when it needs to contain water that can be a problem. Theming can be fixed anytime later. I also heard that they want to reopen the teacups in the Netherlands section as soon as possible. Which means they really want to get the park operating as normal as soon as they can. Really curious if they want to get the foot stands that are okay back open again. -

I don't know. Piracy and the Netherlands never linked that well, Yes there where Dutch Pirates but nothing to special. I much rather see them go to the VOC time for a replacement. That way they can work in some nice easter eggs to Piraten in the ride. I would love them to go for a next gen Darkride with boats again, more animation less animatronics. I mean look at Symbolica at the Efteling it has barly any animatronics but still is very populair. -

They never stood a chance. I'm surprised to hear they opened today but maybe it's for the best. The faster they can leave this behind them the faster they can work on filling the hole left by the fire. -

I say stay closed tomorrow, just clean up and close of the section Monday there is another day. BTW just saw a picture of Fjord Rafting when it goes behind the Piraten building before and after the fire. That truly hit hard. -

I just remembered there was a fire scene in Piraten that used real fire. Does somebody know how they created that fire (Gas or other fuel.) and how they could prevent it from being a added danger in a situation like this? -

Seening that the biggest hit falls in the red area maybe the Dutch Area only lost Batavia. It really looks Like the back of the darkride was hit not the front. But this is based on imagery we've seen and nothing form the Dutch Area so far. Let's hope that's because there is nothing to see there and not that it's impossible to get there right now. -

Holy Hell. I never expected to see these types of pictures from Europa Park. I'm aware it can happen anywhere anytime, But Europa Park just isn't a park where you expect it. Glad to hear nobody is hurt but what a loss. To think I was there 2 weeks ago and rode Pirates as the first ride of the day just leaves me silent. -
I see comments like this quite a lot. It makes me wonder if Lucas had made the Han Solo movie before Episode I (like he wanted to), would the response have been as negative? Or is this backlash from too much, too soon? Whit me it's definitely that ___A Star Wars story sound like a great idea to expand the universe. My hope was that we're going to get more Rogue One and less Solo type of movies. I would love a movie set years before Episode 1 and Old Republic would be enough to sell me on the movie. But I understand that Lucasfilm now want to play it more safe with the Empire time-line, I'm cool with that (even though I like to see the new Canon go anywhere else because I get the 19 year gap fatigue a little.) I just hope we don't get Kenobi a Star Wars movie. I'm sure we get a great personal story whit our hermit we all love, but I rather see Rogue Two (I know that wouldn't be the title.) About how the rebels get the plans for the second death star. Or a Clone Wars movie about a group of clones we don't know. Yes they are allowed to sneak in Rex, Cody and Ashoka Or even Mace, Yoda, Obi-wan, Greivous I don't care how big of a role they have. I just couldn't get exited about Solo. I didn't know until about a week before I watched Solo that George Lucas came whit the idea. If they announced in 2010 that George Lucas would make one last movie about Han Solo I would have lost my cool. Another Live Action Star Wars movie after 5 years. I would just be sold on Star Wars, these days I'm no longer sold on that alone. I will keep watching yes but if you announce a slate of movies where you allow yourself to go crazy, keep pouring out events. That's my opinion. I like to say till now I enjoy every Star Wars movies (I'm aware I'm one of the few who do.) All movies have their moment but none are flawless (Episode's 1 and 2 have the worst Star Wars moments ever and the Cantonica stuff in 8 could be on he cutting floor for all I care.) Each movie I love to re-watch and I do that a lot, till now there is one scene that is just to terrible that I can't take it seriously (Episode 2 the conversation between Anakin and Padme on Naboo after their kiss.). I can see why people hate the prequels and the Sequels. I just think the Star Wars Fandom is to diffrent for Lucasfilm to understand what we want collective. But I'm glad to watch Star Wars Celebration each time. It does not matter if Ray Parker, Mark Hamil or Daisy Ridly shows on stage people cheer. Why? Because people who come to those shows come because they already like the product, Whether that is OT, Prequel, Sequel, R1 or Solo stuff. I know people really like to see a Kenobi movie I don't, If we get it okay I'll watch it but all I care for is that the movie entertains me.
