  1. ^I'm painfully aware of that hence why I said I don't want to know if it's worth my time. I'm very affected when it comes to that, the past few years I only watch reviews after seeing a movie because at that time I set my mind in stone (I mean I love the Star Wars prequels, been exposed to all the hathe te and while I see where they get if from I still enjoy the movies to this date. Maybe it's because I love Star Wars for the stories not the movies). But yeah right now I'm going to stay off You-Tube till I've seen the film so I can experiance the movie as clean as I can.
  2. I'm currently counting down the hours before TLJ (17 hours and around 15 minutes). Have to say wasn't expecting this much already on the web around the movie, I don't even want to know right now if it's worth my time but it seems like that is already spoiled. Luckly for me I got to sleep in that time and tomorrow I will be watching TFA before going to my local theater. But I wasn't ready to already be dodging spoilers this early. I will do a small review after seeing it.
  3. If I remember correctly the Flying Dutchman's track was made in Belgium, so I'd place my bet on yes CSM did that. And knowing there is nothing wrong with the track design on the Flying Dutchman, I mean it's a technology disaster not a structural disaster, I say the Efteling has nothing to fear.
  4. Saw Justice League yesterday night. I was surprised by the movie. It's not my favorite DCEU movie so far Wonder Woman holds that spot But ranking the movies in points now for me its: 1. Wonder Woman (7) 2. Justice League (6,5) 3. Man of Steel (5,5) 4. Suicide Squad (4) 5. Batman v Superman (2) The DCEU has yet to make a great movie in my opinion but the last two movies show me that they're getting there. I'm happy that what BvS suffered in my opinion, what was over stuffing, was not in Justice League. Wonder Woman had Ares that ruined mostly the final act, for the rest WW was a big step up. JL also started out very strong, some minor gripes and quick lazy things here and there, but it was the way they used "him" that bugged the hell out of me. I know it's forbidden but I'm bringing Marvel in the mix. The first MCU movie I fully watched was the Avengers, and what I had with both JL and the Avengers movie was that they both can serve as a starting point filling you in on all the gaps you need to know. But both have references that get explain in other movies and there is the difference, Marvel already had those stories, after watching Iron man 1 and 2, the Hulk, Thor and Captain America the movie was much better. The DCEU doesn't have all those stories what made if feel wrong to reference in a cinematic universe. Some characters could have been anybody else, but if we had Aquaman already as an example, that red haired girl was "her" and not that red haired girl (I know who she meant to be but I still stand behind my opinion). Also the main plot device could have been referenced in previous installments, informing long time viewers that it's bad news. Going back to Marvel on this 4/5 movies before the Avengers all gave something more to the Avengers then except the main title hero. Jl gave all the information to us in this movie and few was to be taken to the next. Avengers felt like a checkpoint in the MCU the first step complete in a larger universe, JL was the first finish to it's own start. To collect, The movie is okay, not great had a lot to take me out of it. The DCEU still doesn't work like it could but the worst parts get phased out of it.
  5. I'm kind of glad the track design changes, it's going to be easier to indentify with the new Python. Also about the trains I seem to remember that it was confirmed that the 2011 trains (current ones) will remain to be used.
  6. I've seen Thor Ragnarok and while I do agree a lot with Robb there are some opinion's left. Korg was great, jokes he made where the best in the movie, but he was in for two scene's too long if you ask me. Those two scene's Korg actually ruined in my opinion I'd rather had it soak in then to brush over it. And I actually did enjoy the Doctor Strange cameo. I'm someone who watches the MCU as the larger story not individual chapters, So seeing the diffrence to where we left him at the end of the Doctor Srange movie and his buisy keeping, wich is the reason he and Thor meet, really felt rewarding as long time MCU watcher. It also sets up a relationship with Thor for Infinity war. It made sens to me, more then Captain Armerica taking SHIELD down basicly alone. I realize these cameo's might cost some money, But it helps making it all feel more connected.
  7. This will surely be a great addition to the line up. Really love the Bobsled's rides I did so far. Really exited to see them commiting to the plans so far.
  8. Wouldn't be surprised if it turns out to be an other B&M. They where vocaly happy with Baron 1898. I already guessed the new land would open with a coaster it felt like the obvious choice. I've been vocal before (maybe not here but elswhere for sure.) that I prefere it to be close to Reizenrijk (Hotel) side and not the Python, I really don't want them to throw all coasters in one corner.
  9. Just a shower of thoughts on the lay-out, but I wonder why they did a lift and not a launch. I think that would have worked better with the lenght and theme. That's really the only thing I would change, as for the rest it's perfect.
  10. Beautyful. Toverland keeps to amaze me. I really hope that concept art for the train is the final product because that would make these my favorite Wing trains.
  11. I haven't been able to keep up with news as I like to do, so I missed that the ride was going to go untill last week. But I didn't know it was going to go this fast. A real shame I never got to try it, Duelling Dragons was allways the reason I wished to go there someday and I was already bumbed I couldn't try the duelling part anymore. I really hope what ever they replace it with makes me still wish to visit this park one day.
  12. It's called banging your head multiple times. But seriously considering that what they've taken down the past 15 (with close detail to the last few years, them closing old outdated rides) years and their replacements and that that list is between now and 2040 and not 2025 meaning a lot of time has gone by. But it was mostly looking at a map and look at what's old what could open up land and possibilities. For example, Silverado theater actually doesn't connect to anything left in the park (Colorado is already pretty connected to the Mexican theme.) removing it or getting with the program is logical. With Removing it and Colorado it opens up a piece of land that could be filled with a family coaster, which in turn opens up expansive possibilities for the China area which could go down like the Berlin revamp of 2010 2011. Anyway I like to fantasize when it comes to Phantasialand and trying to keep some rational thought behind it (Just a little though. ).
  13. This is something I hope is true. Colorado may be one of my favorite family coasters but with Chiapas and Tikal the theming feels very bad. I still like to ride it every time, but after F.L.Y. was announced I kind of stippled out the future like this: 1 or 2: Stripping or demolishing TotNH and HW building for new darkride. 2 or 1: Swimming pool (They announced one a few years ago.) 3 or 4: Silverado theater gone or asthmatic update. 4 or 3: Colorado and Geister gone for new family coaster. 5: China revamp (Because this would be the worst site left in the park by then.) including Ling Bao taken down (By then a new Hotel on the new ground would have been build) 6: Mystery revamp. (Better then China but Mystery Castle will then be about one of if not the oldest attraction) 7: Berlin Revamp (Old entrance bit.) 8: Fantasy revamp (Somewhere sometime the Winja's go away.) 9: Black Mamba removal (Where talking here 20 years form now.) It's big line maybe the order wrong but sometimes I hope I'm wrong.
  14. I'm not to happy about this. I hope it doesn't stay or other attractions will follow. I'm okay with Fast-passes and single rider lines but a normal queue is just freedom in my eyes. I 'm also not a fan of the fact that I have to get an app to ride a roller coaster, and I'm Dutch I can Imagen people from other countries must get annoyed by that as well.
  15. I'm interested about a technical feature. With Six Flags announcing theirs as a first and this one being from the same company, could Six Flags have made a deal which allows RMC to not give away any other Raptor before theirs. I wonder if a deal like that could be made, I always wondered this but it was never “a problem” as far as I knew like this.
  16. Today is quite a day. But this, this hit the mark just right for me. If only I could go to America soon to try it out.
  17. The park also released this video: I like it a lot. I love that the park embraces the Secret Weapon aspect of the marketing. With 6&7 that was more to the fans who knew what was going on, now they have this list of all the rides and their "first" feature and this feels more accesable for a broader group. Also love how the music shifts.
  18. So today I visited the park again and rode Symbolica again (All tours) and I want to talk about an earlier statement I made. Now a month later I have to say I actually felt in control with the interactive parts of the ride. During the hero tour I actually saw a huge diffrence, A month ago I was the only one pushing buttons and both armors moved exactly like the video now the family in the front of me where pushing buttons and the armors reacted like they had to. Also the music tour was seemed to listen. Also the ballroom we actually made the car spin the way we wanted it. This made a huge diffrence for the feeling of the ride. I still don't think it's something for me and I'm sure it never will, but I can accept it as it is.
  19. Great Artwork, Seems like a weird mixture of all their theme area's so far (I definitely see some Magische Vallei and Land van Toos with the dark undertone coming from the Magic Forrest and while we're at it the wood represents the Troy area.) I love it. Not surprised there seems to be a Toverland sign near the entrance. I just love this park and what they do. I was always wanted to bisect this park's history and now I've done it I love it even more. 2001: The park opened with one hall full of attractions. 2004: The second hall was added full of attractions a big coaster as part of it (Boosterbike). 2007: Another big expansion for the park opening an other big coaster (Troy) again in a brand new theme area. 2008 & 2010: A total of 3 attractions added and in 2011 an update took place. 2012 & 2013: Another expansion with a rapid river and an other coaster (Dwervelwind) opened. 2015: Another year for updating. And now: 2018: A new entrance plaza away from the original and an other expansion and again with a big coaster (The winged one). It's great to see a park expand not one attraction at a time, but rather see them safe up and expand beyond their borders. I'm aware there is a limit to how long this can keep on but I'm just glad to witness a park grow like this and I'm happy Toverland didn't get stuck in that phase where the other parks in the Netherlands got stuck in, which I personally like to call the permanent Fun fair phase.
  20. I thought Six Flags announched their rides in one go. Okay I'm happy we got this one just a bit odd. Anyway looks great hope to ride it one day won't be surprised to see Six Flags jump on the Wonder Woman wagon for more rides.
  21. I'm glad to hear a lot of people seem to enjoy it which makes me happy for the fact that it's money well spend. It's just not for me and I can live with that. I collected my thought and did some research as to what's "it" that doesn't allow me to connect. Symbolica is different in almost all aspects to the other Darkrides in the park. 1: Speech: It uses speech which isn't new for the Efteling Fata Morgana also has it but there is a huge difference. FM uses speech in brining their characters to life, we're on a market and people are selling things to us things like that. Symbolica however uses speech in a more story telling vibe, something happens and there is a reaction. It encourages a story that truth to be told isn't there we're just touring a castle. DV and CF don't use speech and both still sell you on whats going on. 2: Scene's: FM and DV both feel drastically longer while FM is also around 7 minutes and DV is even shorter around 5 and a half minutes. This happens because both rides have grand set pieces as scene's and Symbolica uses small rooms, Panorama is an exception of the rule. These scene's are more to be compared to CF, although CF tries to hide this by excluding hallways like FM and DV have, Symbolica also uses Hallways which are very long and take up half the ride. 3: Split up: The fact that we have three different tours makes for a great idea somebody who doesn't go to much can suddenly be surprised by a different scene they don't remember. This is completely unique for the park, but it's one scene that's not like the others It felt like wasted potential. 4: Interactive: Again completely unique for the park yet even with the touch screens it didn't feel like you where in control except for the treasure tour with the diamond the rest felt programmed, maybe an early bug and I will keep watch of it in the future. So my final conclusion is: It wasn't one thing it where more things. They could have done more but the ride fell short. It might grow on me it might never click, only time can tell.
  22. All these positive reviews and here I come. Truth to be told I was underwelmt maybe expected more. It's not bad and the theming is great but the theme choice wasn't great. I really love Droomvlucht but this just didn't click to me. I think families and small children might like it, and when we where with a group and actually where creating fun it was great. I ended up doing all three tours and the schattetour was the best but that was the ride we actually had fun on. Honestly I really like the music and the announcement to watch your stuf and the others like those. If I had to rank the Darkrides of the park: 1. Droomvlucht (remains the best after all this time) 2. Fata Morgana 3. Symbolica 4. Carnaval Festival
  23. I must say now I watched those onrides I really dislike it when Pardoes says something. I'm not at all exited I believe it will be beautiful and I will reserve final judgment untill I rode it (Tomorrow.) but I believe I won't rush to ride this.
  24. When I read the news on Looopings they said the lay-out would be mostly the same. But now I understand what going to happen, this is just going to be a diffrent coaster. Look forward to what they end up doing.
  25. Ambitious. It's all I can think of when I hear these plans. With Walibi I have to see to believe I mean I believe the 2018 plans because I doubt they will pull back a month or two from now but still hope this all comes true.
