  1. Kleenex please... As I sit here, longing, waiting, and drooling over Skyrush, you deliver some of the -single- finest MegaLite porn I've seen in my life. Simply filthy, Hanno, just plain dirty. I know this site is PG13, but some of those shots are definitely XXX. The catch-car, the transition pipe box, the close up of the trains the strangely funky supports of the first curve (WEEERD!)- an outstanding job as usual. (BTW: What's with all the Japanese people in their cloaking devices on the MegaLite? Or was the airtime so intense it ejected them off?) R.D.
  2. There. Edited to prevent you from sounding like you're whining too much. R.D.
  3. He did NOT get an extra week to finish. I have verified that the park he submitted was in fact, his first try- When he decided to re-do the level (WITHIN THE ALLOTTED TIME OF THE GAME!) he uploaded the wrong park. He DID submit the right picture, though. When I looked at the picture and the park he submitted, they match up. I think by now everyone here will realize that I don't tolerate cheating on any grounds or levels- and I'm not going to give unfair advantage to any one person, park or memeber for that matter. End of discussion-
  4. Nope. None. Question: Does CS Include expansion scenery? (EG: RCT2 *only* or are WW/TT fine?) I'm going to say this- As long as I can open it without having a ton of crap get uploaded to my already full RCT II collection, that's fine. CS is out, as is anything that's not original with the game. End here the response to the question, and user, above. Begin -angry- rant now. Everyone, please try and remember this: IT'S CALLED THE TRACK OF THE WEEK CONTEST, NOT THE PRETTY SCENERY AND BUILDING OF THE WEEK CONTEST. Yes, it's nice to dress your rides, but there comes a time when simple = better. I will say that I always discount scenery when i rate a ride- as I'm looking at the ride, not the scenery at the end of the game. Thus: TRACK of the week.
  5. Ummmmm.... "slowly? HP's collection, while not full of B&M coasters -is- one of the best collections of coasters in America- and that's a well-rounded collection from the Great Anton Schwarzkopf, through Intamin's finest. Yes, they don't have a flyer, yes they don't have a floorless- they DO have everything else, though- in all formats. Outside of HolidayWorld and Disney, there aren't too many parks where the collection has every single level of ride imaginable, and for every type of rider.
  6. Seeing everybody talking about SkyRush reminds me of an old Dial Commercial: Aren't you glad you used Dial? Don't you wish everyone else did?"... "Aren't you glad HP has a SkyRush? Don't you wish EVERYONE ELSE DID!?!?!?!" As for the skyline, yes, it's going to TOWER over everything in the Hollow when it's done- but with only a small handful of columns there, I don't think it's going to be as 'bold' on the skyline as people are saying. It's actually a great place to put the ride in the park- considering that's some empty space behind Comet!
  7. That is ONE outstanding entrance, Rob- the colors are perfect for the area around it. I'm looking forward to seeing it landscaped and related, as I think it's going to be stunning when done!
  8. I fixed your post. EPIC WIN! "It's not the size of the coaster that matters... it's how many G's it pulls in the turns."
  9. Sounds good to me, I think.
  10. I thought that too, but for a different reason: It's selling something, and that's advertising- yet it's not really spam itself. I almost want to pull it here until we get some clarity on it, but that's my .02. IF it's a legtitimate site, more power to them, ride simulators are always a good thing, and it does fit this forum-
  11. Ok- I've yet to really do much talking about this but... WOOHOO!!!!! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES I'm quite pleased with this coaster all over. A -perfect- addition to the Sweetest Place on Earth, and I'm beyond thrilled to be on the first train out!
  12. http://www.hersheypa.com/press_room/press_kits.php IT's HERE! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OmRo6l9yxr4 Our own Derek Ruth is delivering live photo updates from today's announcement at Hersheypark! Photos included below! It's soon time to know all These arrows are all over Hersheypark pointing the way to the big announcement Looks like this is the way... This looks to be the spot The Hersheypark band is ready to rush! I think people got the memo It begins with a Lady Gaga 'Edge of Glory' flash mob. Where's Piers?! Hersheypark announces Skyrush, over 200 feet tall Oh yeah, and winged outer seats, a first! Top speed 75mph Ride stats Ride layout Opening around Memorial Day RIT was on hand for the announcement The red balloon shows the height of Skyrush compared to Comet, Fahrenheit, and Storm Runner. The contest to be one of the first riders begins today, and ends on Aug 16. All park goers will have the chance to enter via cellphone QR code, or just visit online to sign up if you're not going to the park in the next 2 weeks
  13. Countdown has begun; press briefing going on.
  14. VOTE! VOTE! VOTE! VOTE! VOTE! VOTE! VOTE! VOTE! VOTE! As in: GO AND RATE THE TRACKS! AS IN USE THAT LOVELY LITTLE STARS FEATURE UNDER THE TRACK! DO IT. NOW! IT WILL SAVE THE KITTENS AND KEEP DOMOKUN HAPPY.
  15. I've decided that I'm going to go and corrupt Intamin AG into destroying all plans ever made for the Aquatrax, any of it's spinoffs, all the related rides and everything attached to Aquatrax.
  16. Much better- The velocity you'd have entered the screws at the end with would have been fatal... If anything, I'd refine the return from the screws; Arrows of that era tended to do something more 'interesting' such as a rising helix into the brakes, or a high-speed banked turn. I'd reccommend some visuals of the Canyon Blaster (AdventureDome), Dragon Fyre (Canada's Wonderland) or even the Vortex at Kings Island for inspiration- all of them are good basis coasters from Arrow's point of View.
  17. OK- the Be-ert looks amazing- granted, I've never met anybody who could out drink ME under the table... I'm impressed, Piers, that's some talent there... And Boulderdash looks YUMMY!
  18. I am reminded of a line from Field of Dreams... (Paraphrasing here)... "if HersheyPark Builds it.. they will COME!" How about a roll-call of locations for where the Chosen 24 came from?
  19. No remake of The Swarm in 2012- or I'd guess, ever again. The Swarm (first) was one of the few Irwin Allen box office DUDS- as in, it lost more money than it took in; Michael Caine and Henry Fonda should have been ashamed of it)... There are two projects in development with the title "The Swarm" but they will not have anything in common with the original- at all. Irwin Allen's production company has only allowed (so far) two re-makes of his films- and those were both based upon a novel he didn't even buy (The Posidon Adventure, and "Posidon"). A swarm of something else, perhaps- but bees, I think not!
  20. I GOT ONE!!!! (Did everybody hear the shout for joy from Arizona today? That was ME!!!)
  21. Popcorn: Watch your punctuation, please. As for the Arrow looper, I think I just snapped my neck with the acceleration into the double screw- OUCH! I'd re-think that quite a bit there, as pretty as it is, you'd have lawsuits up the wazoo from the broken necks, spines, skulls, etc. from the entry from Inversion #3 into your double screw.
  22. Quite a few good entries so far this week- but I want to remind people of these TWO things: 1.) Make sure you're putting the track in the "Track of the Week" category- PLEASE. And Vote on the tracks, too! and 2.) YOU NEED TWO INVERSIONS! This is a DOUBLE LOOP CONTEST! R.D. GFMT
  23. The apostrophe. The long lost and forgotten punctuation, no longer needed in this world of abbreviations. Adopt a lost apostrophe today.
  24. "Video Killed the Radio Star" - The Buggles.... Happy 30th MTV. And now I feel -ancient-
