  1. Oh, and for steel wild mice (granted, I haven't been on a whole lot of them) I'd say Scooby Doo Spooky Coaster. The backwards drop always gets me as it feels much larger than it actually is. At the by of the day the trimbreaks are seemingly turned off and it FLIES through the coaster section with ridiculous laterals and even some airtime on a few drops. The darkness makes it feel even faster. Awesome little ride.
  2. Nice report, good to see you caught a brief break in the Queensland weather.
  3. Pleasure Beach Blackpool's by far. Aussie World's comes second, but even that is no match for the insanity of Blackpool's. I seriously think I severely damaged my spine on that ride lol
  4. ^^ Sheezus, that is a FAST lift! Took about a second to climb.
  5. I wonder if the next I-Box coaster manufactured by RMC will have Gerstlauer trains or if they'll begin using their own trains, as with Outlaw Run.
  6. Though it'd be better of being replaced, I think this is an interesting idea. Vekoma's new track and restraints are much smoother, so this could actually be quite good. Not sure why people assume the new track will be rough. Vekoma has changed in the last few years.
  7. It'd be nice if the layout were actually unique, I'd love to see what S&S could do. But I suppose that there's no real reason to make a custom layout since most visitors to Las Vegas wouldn't have ever ridden or possibly even seen an El Loco. Also hopefully S&S manage to fix the onboard speakers system if this is to have one. The one on Green Lantern very rarely seems to work.
  8. The transitions on the first drop look so screwed up, in the most awesome way possible. Oh RMC, you awesome crazy bastards.
  9. Cobra looks fun until you realise that it was made by PAX and would probably give you a concussion.
  10. Voted Superman Escape (WBMW) as my second favourite steel coaster, after Nemesis. Hopefully it'll be on enough ballots to make it on the poll this year.
  11. Where did the Iron Horse term originate then out of curiosity? Also, I only recently learned that B&M uses the term "Wing Coaster" and that "Wingrider" is an Intamin term. Gonna take me a while to stop saying wingrider.
  12. Well I asked for rain and I got it. And ex-cyclone is currently dumping a ton of rain on us with some scarily high winds. We're on tornado watch with six tornadoes reported an hour north of where we are. The worst of it still hasn't quite reached where I live, so the next couple of days will be... interesting.
  13. Not sure how I feel about this. I think the Swarm is a good ride as it is, and this seems a bit unnecessary. I'm sure it'll be fun, but I'm just not a fan of coasters going backwards (unless they're shuttles of course), it's a tad gimmicky. Though I do agree that a backwards dive machine would be quite incredible, especially Oblivion with its tunnel.
  14. I doubt the name will make any sense to someone who hasn't read into the backstory, so the name is a bit disappointing. But the insane layout of the ride itself more than makes up for it
  15. Holy ejector airtime batman. That puts the double downs on Grand National and Jack Rabbit to shame. Hell, it puts every double down to shame.
  16. It's summer here in Australia and I hate it haha. Sunshine Coast has stayed true to its name and remained sunny for the last month with no major rainfall. Everything's super dry but at least it's humid enough here that we haven't had any major bushfires like Tasmania, SA, Victoria and NSW have been having. Still pretty hot here though (35 degrees celcius/95 degrees fahrenheit) and my A/C is useless. God I can't wait for winter.
  17. Also going to North Korea to go ride a few rides while the whole nation is under oppression and on the brink of poverty would be a bit insensitive IMO.
  18. I agree, I'm finding it difficult to keep up with Intamin's new projects since there seems to be so many.
  19. Yay, it's running! Kim Jong Un working his miracles once again. National holiday time, everyone in Pyongyang is allowed to eat in celebration!
  20. Eagle Fortress. I know it hasn't actually been demolished yet, but it's just a matter of time unfortunately. Aska sounds like it was a great woodie, so I'd love to have been able to ride it.
  21. Robb's yelling/whee-ing/commentary doesnt really bother me. The footage is great, that's enough for me. Some of the videos are pretty funny too, the Manhattan Express one stands out for me lol
  22. I found Green Lantern to be pretty fun so I'd love to see a Custom El Loco with the same restraints.
  23. I was actually going to answer the question but after reading the first 2 pages I'm ashamed to not have a pun.
  24. NON HOME PARK 2012: Swarm - Thorpe Park HOME PARK 2011: Green Lantern - Warner Bros Movieworld 2012: Justice League 3D - Warner Bros Movieworld (if dark rides count) That's about it lol
