  1. Definitely. It just sucks.
  2. Whoa. What the heck happened to all the posts from this thread? Anyway, I suggested possibly looking at where the inverted coaster got its beginnings -- in the suspended coaster. If you can, get a copy of Scott Rutherford's "The American Roller Coaster." I believe that's got some history on coasters, and that probably mentions suspendeds and then inverteds.
  3. Please, Will, lets experiment with The Voyage! When I visited Holiday World this season, I wrote on a comment card that the park look into the single-bench cars for Voyage. I imagine it would track better and smooth out a bit.
  4. One of my friends had seen these cars in person, and he was right: They basically cut a two-bench car in half. I'm not sure the nontrailered cars would be too great, but the trailered ones would probably track better on twisted track than a standard two-bench car.
  5. The observation tower was open at least once in 2006. I know because I went in it. That Mr. Six tombstone is great. I love it.
  6. Why don't you ask the theme park? If you don't understand, why did you turn to the Internet?
  7. That's more common on "Flash Mountain."
  8. That is so cool that they documented that on the blog. I saw it happen in 2005. I was with a friend at the park, and we were on Magnum's lift hill when it happened. It's wild.
  9. I rode the one at SFGAm, and I didn't think it was too bad. The line was way longer than it should have been, though. It's just a wild mouse and not worth an hour and a half wait. The theming is extremely simple. It's just like cardboard cutouts that are pushed around with air pistons. There are some lights inside and a few dark corners, but it's nothing exciting. It's a straightforward wild mouse, basically. It's not among the best wild mouse coasters I've been on.
  10. What the heck? It looks like some weird gimmick. You're flying sideways, then the track's sideways, and you're upright. I don't know if I approve. Why can't they just keep making normal coasters?
  11. ^ That's why you write down the counts like I do.
  12. ^ I'll post it so people don't have to search. On the topic of taking POV videos on rides at parks:
  13. I try to eat a decent-sized meal before a day of riding. If I've got an empty stomach, I start feeling gross. But it's even worse when I don't stay hydrated. I can eat a good breakfast and then just drink water and maybe have some fries or a snack and be set for the whole day.
  14. That weird angled support that's the tallest support has gone up.
  15. The video on YouTube has the cops saying they've only seen that kind of strength from people under drugs, so the women may have been on drugs. Or it could have been a suicide pact. Maybe a little from column A and a little from column B. I wonder why the cops there don't have Mace. That could have maybe stopped that woman from fighting them and running back into traffic.
  16. Aren't you too young to remember seeing that ad? I'd like to see someone recreate this coaster in NoLimits. I'm tempted to do so myself.
  17. No. Because this is STUPID!
  18. Stupid. Attention whores want people to see their advertisement. Or show that they're retarded. We'll find out. Oh, wait! We already know what's going to happen.
  19. Bump. The Arizona Republic has an article on it. This stood out to me: Will it happen? Again, I have my doubts.
  20. Arr. I celebrated Talk Like a Pirate Day at Cedar Point. Yarr! In Millennium Force's Station.
  21. I'd rather see time travel come out of this. That way I can confuse myself with paradoxes. In real LHC news, apparently a transformer broke, raising the temperature inside the LHC. But it's been fixed after being offline for a little bit. No hadron collisions yet.
  22. That's the best part of it!
  23. That's just what would happen if it COULD to end the world. That's not even too true. IF it could end the world, there are many theories to take into account. If the micro black holes are created, they wouldn't suck the world in, in a nanosecond. First, physically, they'd be too small to do anything but evaporate. A black hole has a crazy quantity of mass, and even our own sun can't become a black hole. Second, if the LHC somehow creates strangelets, they may create more strangelets in a matter of seconds, or it could take weeks. But the Earth's temperature is anything but stable, so strangelets wouldn't be able to reproduce.
  24. Try to go on Friday. The park shouldn't be crowded at all, and you can ride the major rides. Saturday will probably be packed. Sunday might be crowded, but Sundays are generally not too bad.
  25. ^ But it's not going to end the world.
