Most inversions on a coaster
haux replied to coasterstud522's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
The most I've been on is seven because I've only been in the States. I've been a few with seven inversions. Montu, Kumba, Viper, Scream and Incredible Hulk. -
Something needs to be done about this. Either a note in the page when you're making a post or a way to get rid of it. It's a stupid feature, and it trips people up all the time.

Then resize them. Hurr. Download a program. Here. I did a search for you. Find one that's relevant.

Worthwhile coasters in Arizona and/or New Mexico?
haux replied to halltd's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Cliff's is a decent park with a real stand-out woodie. New Mexico Rattler is probably in my top-10 wooden coasters. It's great. As for Castles 'n' Coasters, visit if you're a credit whore. Or if you've never been on an O.D. Hopkins coaster before. That park has two! -
Dispute at Cedar Point on August 9th
haux replied to FeelTheFORCE's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Probably. The line jumping incident that I mentioned above was with some people from Detroit. I didn't let them line jump, and they threatened me. I knew they were from Detroit because they said no one would be like this (preventing them from line jumping) if they were back in Detroit. Seriously, though, I had a ride host call the police, and they were there within minutes. Five or six officers showed up for that. -

The Sandusky Register says it's exaggerated. The park isn't slow to respond when it comes to the police. 20 to 30 minutes? No way. If anything, people were arguing long before the police were even called. Of course, that's from the park spokesman. But I still don't believe it. I've called the police and had them called before. They show up pretty quickly, even for line jumping. I don't believe they'd wait 30 minutes to show up to reports of a fight. Edit: This radio show is stupid. But it's not a news program. It's a talk radio show with an idiotic host. So of course it can't be taken for fact. -
Really Tall + What - Uh (Water) + Drop. Sounds like a tall shoot the chutes spill ride in Thanksgiving! That would be a super addition in my book! Or it could be a high speed slide for Splashin' Safari! Or Paula could just be messing with us...like she always does! I'm still holding out for that B&M Inverted though! I think you're reading into it a bit much. From these few hints, it sounds like it'll just be a drop tower.

I don't know because I've never taken it. Why not check Greyhound's Web site? Here, I checked for you. No. It's downtown. So take a taxi, bus or train to the Greyhound station. Here. I mapped it out for you taking public transit.

Good Coaster, Bad Park

The Golden Ticket Awards haven't been announced yet. -
Worlds of Fun Construction - Prowler

This link confirms that it's a wooden coaster, and it'll most likely be a GCI since Cedar Fair seems to trust that company. Name? Not yet. Maybe we could try to guess and just type in stuff like Kings Island's site. Like wofcoaster.com or wofwoodensomething.com. -
Good Coaster, Bad Park

I'll be different and say LeSourdsville Lake. Screechin' Eagle is fantastic and a great classic coaster, but the rest of the park is like a carnival. But I'll agree, sort of, with Beech Bend. I only rode Kentucky Rumbler (it was December, 15 degrees, and KR was the only coaster open), but the rest of the park seemed like a dump. -
There's a Greyhound station in Sandusky. From there you can take a taxi to the hotel.

It's just one switchback. They don't close an entire queue section. It doesn't affect anything.

Worried about riding Mantis

Say goodbye to your nuts. Or they'll just readjust the seats again and make you wait even longer. Don't try this. -

Be sure to tell us how it was! Have fun. Well, as much fun as you can on Mantis. -

Doesn't sound like they're marketing it as a family ride to me. Exactly. I mean, look at the CAPS they use. APRIL! APRIL! -

Actually, Butane is a gas. Not when it's really, really cold. -

I, too, hate roller coasters that are too similar to all the others. I'm actually not surprised that Kings Island decided to use wheels on this coaster. That's so typical. Nothing original. Wheels? Give me a break! As for the water splash, that's not original at all. Why couldn't the park use another liquid? Like butane. That would really cool you off on a hot day. And seriously screw B&M for putting drops on this ride. Name one coaster without drops. What a lame coaster. -

Also, why did the plans submitted to the city of Mason say this would be 4,200 feet long? It's more than a mile long. -

I just saw the on-ride animation. It looks like there's a trim brake on the camelback before the block brake, and there appears to be a magnetic brake before the air brakes in the block. Behemoth has the same (magnetic brake before the block). -

Don't worry. Ginzo will find something to hate about it when it opens. As for the supports, are there paths below them? That might be why they're so odd. There's a strange one entering the second helix, and it looks like it's like that because of the proximity of The Crypt's line. So maybe the top of the lift hill is directly over a path. -

That's basically what it is. Not that it's a bad thing.
