  1. True enough, but some sort of heavily themed, largely inddor coaster would be good (it doesn't necessarily have to be launched). Hopefully something that could be as good as Skull Mountain at SFGAdv.
  2. Excited to see that my favorite Disney ride will soon be back in prime form. I'm glad that this took precedent over the Big Thunder Mountain rehab, although I never found much wrong with Big Thunder Mountain the last few times I rode it (maybe I'm just not a Big Thunder Mountain fanatic, I only ride it once or twice when I go to the park).
  3. That right there is an abused glutton. There need to be some glutton protection laws.
  4. Screamscape, which aggregates and posts many different rumors without claiming any validity, including conflicting rumors, has been correct 78.34% of the time on rumors relating to Knott's Berry Farm dating back to 1998 when Screamscape was created. If what your saying is true, then that's a pretty good track record! (No pun intended) I was trying to make the point that there's no point in trying to see how true the random rumors posted on Screamscape have been...

  6. ^The Screamscape report said "near-clone of Leviathan." I'd for one be very very happy with an airtime machine hyper. I love the intensity of Goliath at SFMM, but I prefer the B&M hypers more as a whole.
  7. Yes, I knew all of this, I was just wondering if the park itself had said anything about the announcement. It looks like it hasn't, strangely.
  8. Anyway, I'm starting to think I need to plan a NorCal-SoCal trip next year. The credits I need keep piling up! And speaking of season passes, hopefully next year I'll be needing one again. So you're counting credits again. Has SFMM actually said that they would be announcing their coaster on the 30th? Or are we all just assuming it's being announced with all of the other Six Flags announcements? I know the other parks in the chain are just now saying that they will be announcing a ride...
  9. ^What am I missing here? I know you were not being serious in yor previous post, I was referring in general to the fairly common complaints in the SFMM thread about the park needing to be paved.
  10. Does it really need to be paved? I've never had a problem walking around the park.
  11. ^Ummm... I'm pretty sure that would be the park's answer even if they weren't going to add a new coaster. I wouldn't expect them to reveal major business decisions at a coaster enthusiast Q&A.
  12. Goliath at SFOG. It's a nice hyper, but not particularly one of my favorites.
  13. ^Sounds like someone doesn't know Goldrusher exists.
  14. ^So you're seriously complaining that the park has rides that are too smooth??? I don't see how roughness can be an argument for liking a ride more.
  15. Title Fairy, if you feel up to it, I ask that you please change my title to "Vegas Dylan." If you use your all-knowing powers, you would see that Robb bestowed this name upon me during a game of TPR Quest. Thank you Title Fairy!
  16. It seemed like Robb had a forced enthusiasm when talking about how awesome inversions are last week.
  17. I have to agree with that. Me as well. I don't think the park is ever going to become a "well-rounded park" because that's just not how they make their money. They're never going to compete with the other SoCal parks without their "Xtreme" branding. We just have to learn to accept that. Is there anyone on this forum who goes to SFMM for anything OTHER than the coasters? We have Disneyland, Knott's, and even Universal for anything else. I have trouble complaining about anything other than cleanliness and operations. There are going to be people who don't have X2 and Tatsu high on their lists, but I'm sure plenty of people do considering what they are. We have those two, a nice hyper in Goliath, a nice woddie, one of the best standusps, and more... Are we forgetting the park just got the world's tallest drop tower as well? We and the park have been spoiled, when they've put so much money into the rides (which, again, is why we go there).
  18. Nice man! He's totally awesome live. (seen him twice, would be 3 this summer if I wasn't going on a TPR trip)
  19. More people are complaining about them using a portable version of a slingshot than people complaining that Disney uses Vekoma a lot. I think it's a smart move by the park.
  20. They're regressing because of one bad visit? The past few times, I've experienced the complete opposite, except for operations on Tatsu.
  21. ^^Yes, they are portable, you just need to remove them from the ground and move them!
  22. SFMM's food is now OK for me since they added What The Fried, which has Dole Whips and some other stuff. I tend to find myself leaving the park to go 5 minutes down the road to a full-service Johnny Rockets. Knott's is really in-between SFMM and Disneyland, but you may just find yourself going back and forth in-between Xcelerator and Silver Bullet. Disneyland is of course fantastic as always. I think that you'll just have to set your priorities, and go from there. Rides, experience, or something in-between?
  23. Granted, but it's in Roller Coaster Tycoon. I wish Daft Punk would come perform in LA.
