  1. The parts indeed appear to be for a Sky Screamer IMO. I compared the parts to the Sky Screamer at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom, and everything seems to match up (at least the colors). Zoomed and enhanced... Without the enhancement
  2. ^Are you going to try to add a photo resizer? That would come in handy since the size of pictures taken by the 4S (I'm not sure about the 4) are too large to be uploaded.
  3. I MAY or may NOT have iOS 6. It's certainly under NDA. iOS 6 photo uploading COULD possibly work on this forum... I hope my sentence was not too confusing. HYPOTHETICALLY, the iPhone 4S with iOS 6 would not be able to upload anything because the resolution of the photos are 3264x2448, which is larger than what is allowed.
  4. I think that there should be certain exceptions made with small children. Once we had been waiting long in line, when my four year old brother (who has no bladder issues or anything, and who used the restroom before getting in line) just simply had to go about two hours in during the line for Transformers at USH, only a little bit into the main entrance because of breakdowns. My mom took him to the restroom, and came back and was easily let back into the line to catch back up with me because it's a reasonable excuse IMHO. No one in line seemed to mind because there's nothing that could have been done about it. Should the four year old really have been penalized for something like that? He was ecstatic about the ride and would have waited it out if he could have. I don't see why he should be penalized for that. The line wasn't moving anyway and most people were sitting down because the ride was broken down, so it's not like it was a huge disruption anyways.
  5. I'm glad I have my Extreme pass if this is true. Actually I'm glad I have it anyway, you make the difference back in parking alone in four trips... Assuming you go there often enough. Has anyone tried the fried peanut butter and jelly at What The Fried? I might have to try it next time. Actually, has anyone tried anything from there besides the Dole Whip?
  6. My family and I are vegan, and we make our lunch at "the world's largets Johnny Rockets" (at Knott's, with Johnny Rockets having a vegan burger) the highlight of our day. Replacing any Johnny Rocket's with a Denny's would be horrific. Glad to see that their bottom line isn't being hurt by this really non-existent boycott, I think line-skipping systems are terrific. I tend to use them about once a year as a day to give myself some ERT.
  7. ^How much space would it take up though? Isn't the Log Jammer space 6 acres? I have no clue how big Superman at SFDK is... I think that it could be similar, or maybe the same thing but larger in scale, with more elements.
  8. I gave Colossus a courtesy ride yesterday and found the left side open. I usually don't ride it that often so I don't know if that's normal, but I've always found the right side to be the side open. It was nice finally getting to ride the other track. I sat in the back row and something completely unexpected happened on the first drop: There was literally an INSANE amount of airtime that made me literally fly into the lab bar that I had given myself a little but nice amount of room with. It was painful since I wasn't ready for it, but it was also amazing in a way, and would have been fantastic if I was prepared for it. Anyone else experienced crazy airtime on the first drop on either track?
  9. While it is very possible that the ride op did not know what they were talking about, it seems that the park is making a very strong effort (at least by their standards) to keep Lex Luthor running well and efficiently. Up until yesterday I'd never seen ride ops going that fast through checks, maybe they're really trying to get to the 400 riders per hour that Tim said he thought was possible. There was always someone relatively higher up (not on a ride-op level, in nice clothes) at the ride the whole day. I'm willing to give the park the benefit of the doubt and credit on this. I have not heard that the ride was down much Sunday if at all, and we all know there was something going on with the Intamin Cable.
  10. My friend and I got in line right before 9PM last night and got on in 30 minutes. I've never waited that short of a time at the end of the night. Operations were nice and they were beating the timer. Also, we were on the last train of the night for X2, and when we got out from the last train of the night, Lex was still running. I know it has a lower capacity and it's new, but it's still surprising to see it running longer than X2 after park closing. Also, Lex Luthor is better at night, but not that much better IMO. They weren't running fire or sound on X2, but they told me one train had sound and they weren't running fire because it was too hot (makes sense, but Apocinator which was running really well with no wait had it's fire on). I never experienced problems with the audio on Lex in 9 rides, every time we listened to the whole thing and then dropped. Not the unpredictable audio I want, but at least it's reliable so far. The ripe op told me that the cable they had the other day was a cable that came loose Saturday night. He said they replaced or fixed it, and they had Lex back up Sunday morning.
  11. I THINK they do. They're still sprinting through Lex as they were this morning. I also finally got a drop when I was falling as Superman was going up the tower! It seemed like they were just having problems with the second train on Tatsu as the whole ride kept breaking down throughout the day and they had someone looking at the second train.
  12. Lex didn't open for us until about 10:20. the dole whips are less than $3 with an extreme pass, and it really is a large amount. Tried the new flavors here for the first time today. Tatsu is running with one train for whatever reason. The second train is in the second half of the station, with the third in rehab. It would have been nice if they had a sign up before my friend and I got in line. I'm still in the park so I can get a night ride on Lex.
  13. We finally got over there about 10 minutes before opening. Discover card people were walking over there when we were going up for the first time lol. I was able to get 4 rides in before people got over there from the 10:30 opening. We all asked for any sort of way to get something out of it since pretty much all of us only came to the park today for the ERT, but it was pretty much "sorry but not really" from them. It seemed like they didn't start tests until 10:00. Even S:EFK was testing at 9:15. However, the ride is AMAZING. It seems like it never ends. The audio is great and we didn't drop until the whole sound byte finished. It really is like an "over the shoulder lap bar". I'm about 6 foot 2 and the OSTRs/handles didn't even touch my shoulders. I like the side facing DC Universe more. The outside seats are also much better IMO. Operations once we finally got on were great; they were running through checks. The whole DC Universe area was DEAD after park opening (I got a 5th ride of Lex at opening). I then headed to Green Lantern with my friend where there were 0 people in line! No flipping (although it was just us two, one on each side). The park seems fairly clean today. I'm looking forward to the single rider line on Lex at night today. Sorry for any typos, I'm on my phone...
  14. About 10:00 and they haven't let us in for Lex Luthor ERT. They were supposed to let us in at 9:30. I really hope they give us extra time on it, but I doubt it.
  15. Going to the park today to get on Lex Luthor for the first time during the passholder time this morning. I felt like a little kid who couldn't fall asleep because it was Christmas the next morning.
  16. ^Nice. Looks like I'm for sone nice "drop time" as long as there aren't too many breakdowns. I'm really interested to see how Lex Luthor is affecting the lines for other rides...
  17. I'm going to be very thrilled if what you're saying is indicative of the ride time tomorrow...
  18. I finally got my email confirmation/ticket for the annual passholder time on Tuesday. Can't wait! I hope to get 3 rides in if I'm lucky... I'm not sure how many people they're letting in for the one hour.
  19. How are these lap bars? Same as ^. It'll probably depend more on the person if you come in contact with those noodles on the sides. For example, the first woman in the picture is just holding onto them, they aren't even touching her shoulders. I'll consider this ride as having lap bars.
  20. Was that "Nice try, Superman" part of Lex Luthor or something that was played to the media people over the speakers? And if it's part of the ride, I wonder if it only plays when Lex and Superman are running simultaneously? ^I noticed that too. The footage they're showing now though looks fine.
  21. So let me think, we got a world recording-breaking drop ride with audio, lap bars, and it feels like an earthquake when S:EFK is going up the tower? I can't wait to get on this Tuesday.
  22. Really cool audio! Did we find out what the exact height of the Giant Drop DROP is? Not that Lex Luthor won't be amazing, especially with the audio.
  23. I think we'll have a very nice Q&A at WCB next year...
