X2 will always operate in the rain, as long as it is not windy. I've ridden it in pouring down rain, but when the slightest wind comes in, they shut it down. They did that one day last summer and that gave us a 2 hour wait for Tatsu. Luckily, it opened at 5:30 PM and it was my last ride of the day (and I was on the front row of the first train of the day!) How can you say always? Are you there every single day when it rains? I've been there with heavy rain with no wind at all, and they did not open it for the day. They ended up closing early that day, so I'm guessing they just didn't want to handle the costs of having it open for only a few hours.

While I don't think one day will greatly affect your goal, I can try to offer some tips, although I probably can't help as much as others. In front of the Jungle Cruise you will find a stand selling all sorts of fresh fruits, and across from the Jungle Cruise at the Bengal restaurant you can find kabobs of grilled vegetables. I do know in California Adventure (if you're going there), in the Pacific Wharf area near Paradise Pier, there are numerous restaurants, including healthiER asian food, mexican food, and other options. Hopefully that information will be somewhat helpful.

Why do they both have to go up at the same time? Unless I missed something, the two sides should be independent of each other... I ask this because they told us at West Coast Bash during their presentation on it that with they way the lift mechanism works, both sides have to go up at the same time, but can drop independently of each other.

The Mysterious B&M Green Wingrider Track

I wonder if many years from now, if the park was to ever tear down X2, they would replace it with a B&M 4-D coaster? Cedar Point is the most-likely park in my opinion, but then again, you can justify it going to any other park. -

Well actually, it was intended for Knott's... -
^I got the pass in the summer while it was "buy a day get a year free," so my ticket is good through sometime in June, 12 months from when I got it. Obviously the current promotion is "buy a day get 2012 free," so everything you've said is correct. I made the incorrect assumption that the same offer still stood.

^I don't believe they're using a discount, the case is simply that anyone buying a normal day of admission is automatically a passholder. I am an annual passholder and didn't pay anything extra, it was included in my one-day ticket that I bought at the gate (unless I'm remembering something wrong). But you are correct in that if you used some sort of discount, then you wouldn't be an annual passholder. However, their promotion makes you an annual passholder. EDIT: To be more clear, ^^ is not wrong, anyone who buys a normal day of admission becomes a passholder.

^If you go up Revolution's exit, there are stairs that will take you right to the normal path leading to Tatsu. Also, I don't really think how early you arrive matters, as long as you're there before opening. People tend to line up like sheep at the two main gates in the middle. I've gotten up there 2 minutes before opening and been at the front at a gate on the left side, already putting me in prime position to get to X2 first.

I don't think that this possibility has been mentioned, but during Roller Coaster Enthusiast Day on Saturday, I talked to a "foreman" (the ride ops with ties) that I've known for a few months now who says that from what he understands, the main reason whatever modifications were made to the Green Lantern cars (he doesn't know what modifications as he's of course not a ride mechanic) were made in most part because of how often the cars would come back "incorrectly" into the station, which would cause delays, especially with it happening so often as it was.

^Yea, It probably won't be that much of an ERT session. I'm mainly interested in being one of the first 10 people for that front-of-the-line-pass (one would hope it's for X2 or Tatsu). I also forgot to mention that all 500 people get a ticket to see the movie, which is nice. Hopefully the park is geting some decent revenue from this ad campaign.
