I happened to be right in my email right when the re-scheduled dates were available for the extra ride time, and it wouldn't be SFMM without them forgetting to clear the old data for the form submissions (so it told me my annual pass number had already been used). I emailed and got a quick response saying they had their programmer clear the data now. I selected and received next Tuesday.

It was confirmed by someone earlier that both sides rise (including leaving the station) at the same time, but drop independently. Park said it at WCB. IDK who else has read the latest update on The Coaster Guy, but the park has made some modifications to the gondolas, mainly an overhead piece that looks pretty cool. The rest of the update also sheds some more light on what the park's been doing with this extra week... And ACE members will be doing the first rides starting at 5AM on Media Day so that it will be ready. Maybe SFMM has the mindset of, "well, if anything happens, it's ACE members and not TPR members?"

Not sure how you can make a blanket statement that the delay is due to a sudden mechanical problem (because that is what it sounds like you are implying). I had posted earlier that someone on FB (yea, tons of credibility there...) claimed that they had very recently (abruptly?) halted testing and that employees were "very puzzled." I think that this is all a mute point though, no matter what conflicting opinions anyone has...

i forgot they were going (or are) to announce something BIG tomorrow... Perhaps its what is going in Log Jammers spot! And make people forget about Lex Luthor's delay, at least for a little while... I'd be surprised that it's Full Throttle or whatever is it. Their FB hasn't mentioned tomorrow's announcement at all in the past few days... So yea.

Disappointed. I know we all expected delays but it appeared that they were on schedule. Maybe the ride just needed more testing and fine-tuning. EDIT: To add to that, maybe it was a last-minute decision? I know this isn't a reputable source at all, but here's what someone commented on SFMM's post on FB: "Yeah I noticed today that it wasn't testing. Yesturday it looked great, but this morning I watched them do a fail-safe drop (bassically if something happens, it lowers it down instead of dropping) that was the last test I saw all day, when I got off work there were a ton of puzzled workers. Oh well it is going to be worth it." And just yesterday SFMM was boasting about Thursday's Media Day and Saturday's Opening Day...

I still don't think that it's been long enough to make statements about how the crowd flow has affected Disneyland. The line for Star Tours has been between 15-40 minutes (usually around 20) the last few times I've been in the park (before Cars Land opened), including just last week when it was 30 minutes on a PACKED day (120+ on Indy, etc.). I think closer to the end of July we'll have a clear picture on the effect of DCA on Disneyland. Glad to hear Cars Land has been a success though.
