Vans--The Shoes
lapseofreason replied to drakmir's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I know most kids don't like to tie their shoes nowadays, especially Vans and other skate shoes (I have no idea why) but if you DO tie them, maybe a little tightly, they will stay on! Now people that come to parks with flip flops... that's a different story. -

Bumper Cars- Track Or Rectangle?
lapseofreason replied to pgathriller's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Rectangle. I hate when they make you go all one way; I like to go veer off in the other direction, get some speed, and totally slam into someone that's trying to drive NORMAL. If I'm not mistaken, didn't they switch Geauga Lake's to a track a few years ago? -
I will steal Robb's scale, as well. My favorite Fast Food! I really don't have one. Everything falls in the below categories. 1 - Fast Food I really like a lot and would make a trip for In 'n' Out. The wait is outrageous sometimes but it's worth it. Wendy's. They really freaking need to put one closer to me than f'ing Burbank. Fatburger - again, I think the closest one to me is in Santa Monica 2 - Fast Food that I like, but wouldn't go out of the way for Burger King Del Taco Jack in the Box (Their tacos rule) Taco Bell Long John Silvers Panda Express Subway 3 - Fast Food that isn't very good, but I would eat it again if I HAD to. (El) McDonalds - I swear, it tastes better back East. Carl's Jr. - Edible, but stay away from their baked potatoes Quizno's - Maybe it'll be better NOT TOASTED next time. 4- Fast Food that I don't ever care to eat again! KFC - They've just gotten WAY too greasy over the years. Also, the last few times I've gotten chicken, it's been all breading/gristle/fat and no chicken. Ew. Rally's - I ate there once about 10 years ago and remember it being pretty gross. Are they still even in business? Nathan's Hot Dogs - I think I had one either at New York New York or at the MGM Grand. It was HORRIBLE! I think I actually hurled.

Well, I grew up in Cleveland, so here it is: And since the city I live in (Tujunga) is technically a part of stupid Los Angeles, here's a picture of that.

I used to be afraid of storms when I was younger. Now, I only freak out in the bigger ones (you know I really don't want my house getting toasted).

I think my longest (the longest are the worst) waits would be: 1) 2 to 2 1/2 hour waits for X (2 of them, we got in line an hour before the park closed) 2) The one time we waited during the day for X when there was a line, it was down to the soda machines... 2.5 hours again, we got up to the stairs leading to the station... then it broke 3) Again with the 2 1/2 hours... Villain at Geauga Lake when it first opened (I hate that line, it's so crowded, especially the part that goes under the station) 4) X-Flight when it first opened. Can you guess how long I waited? Needless to say, I won't wait in long lines. It's just not worth it. We've always used Flash Pass for Tatsu, and any time we get in a line and it's ridiculously long, we just don't wait. No way would I ever wait in a 4-5 hour line for a 3 minute ride. The ride isn't going anywhere! -amanda

^I forgot about that. Stupid Hurricane Harbor. Wasn't there a discussion like this in the actual Flashback thread: that several other parks run coasters right by the water park, and THEY'VE never had a problem? On another note, I was at the stupid grocery store yesterday and the chick bagging noticed my Tatsu shirt. Apparently she worked on Jet Stream as of a few months ago, and her boyfriend or something works on Dive Devil. Anyways, she informed me that Busch Gardens was going to buy the park. Now, I'm not one to believe a GP comment like that, especially coming from a SFMM employee (no offense, Jahan) but... there's another rumour for the pile.

Favorite Water Ride
lapseofreason replied to SFMM rocks my socks's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I would have to say either Grizzly Run @ Geauga Lake (I'm sorry, the only other one I've been on is Roaring Rapids, and GR blows it out of the water)... or my two closest flume rides, Jet Stream and LOG JAMMER. Then again, I have a penchant for log rides, so... I guess if I went on more they would be my favorite too -
