They couldn't find a disc drive to hold a coat hanger. Hearlining the ride in the design stages would have increased the output quality of the ride and therefore I Think it would have stayed. By heartlining it, the ride is almost on the same level as a B&M and there haven't been many B&Ms removed from parks, or at least not lately.

I waited for Psyclone on opening weekend for 4 hours. Line snaked almost to viper. I think that was the worse one. Made that mistake one time. Lol. I've always gone on non busy days. Usually in the winter. Maybe it's just that my expectations are low I guess. To be honest. There was a period between 1992-1999. That I didn't go, as I moved across the country... I just go there to ride. Don't care about much else. Was Psyclone really bad from day one? Or was it like a lot of other wooden coasters that deteriorate and become rough over time?

How much would something like that cost? -
Least favorite coaster element.

A corkscrew could be good, if done right. A lot of times there may be a rough or uncomfortable lead in, or the element itself my just be rough. Intamin and B&M corkscrews are GENERALLY pretty good. -

Hmmmm a release before Christmas of THIS YEAR still seems really hopeful. They have been working on it for quite some time and something tells me they're just going to keep on working on it right though the holidays. But I did notice somewhere that they are just now putting the finishing touches on it, so there might be some light at the end of the tunnel. Or maybe that's the headlights of a train inside that tunnel... -
10 Train Coaster (NL)

Capacity isn't that important to a park. But with the being said, I would certainly install one if I owned a park. -
What area really needs a theme park?
Aceattack52 replied to let1gre's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Yes a Seattle area park would be good, but there would be an issue with so much rain. Carowinds pretty effectively covers both Carolinas and even a little bit into Tennessee, but I do like the traditionally Southern themed park done by Herschend. -
Russia to build Vekoma GIB in Sochi
Aceattack52 replied to Gutterflower's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
That's good because I remember stories of how Deja Vu at SFOG was running for maybe 20 days total during a season and that was no exaggeration. -

Hold on a minute, because this is going to have quite the issue with up time since it's a GIB, isn't it? -
107 faaaaaast flips on a Topspin !
Aceattack52 replied to GeorgeT's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I don't think this is unhealthy, and certainly not dangerous. As for me, I don't really like these Topspin things, so I would make a hard pass on doing something like this. -
Carowinds Discussion Thread
Aceattack52 replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I noticed this back by the Intamin drop tower they have at Carowinds. (I think it's just called "Drop Tower") I was wondering why they don't just remove the bees and wasps? -

I second the comment you made in that post.
