  1. ^ Yep, see this seems like what they're trying to do. They skip on maintenance and other general upkeep in favor of new rides so that they can stay ahead in the war of "which park has the most coasters".
  2. They couldn't find a disc drive to hold a coat hanger. Hearlining the ride in the design stages would have increased the output quality of the ride and therefore I Think it would have stayed. By heartlining it, the ride is almost on the same level as a B&M and there haven't been many B&Ms removed from parks, or at least not lately.
  3. ^ Green Lantern at SFGAdv was really bad in terms of roughness and intensity; it was too intense for a standup.
  4. I waited for Psyclone on opening weekend for 4 hours. Line snaked almost to viper. I think that was the worse one. Made that mistake one time. Lol. I've always gone on non busy days. Usually in the winter. Maybe it's just that my expectations are low I guess. To be honest. There was a period between 1992-1999. That I didn't go, as I moved across the country... I just go there to ride. Don't care about much else. Was Psyclone really bad from day one? Or was it like a lot of other wooden coasters that deteriorate and become rough over time?
  5. ^ That's really funny that they had to get all of those guys up there.
  6. A corkscrew could be good, if done right. A lot of times there may be a rough or uncomfortable lead in, or the element itself my just be rough. Intamin and B&M corkscrews are GENERALLY pretty good.
  7. Wow the light up trucks and now the light up boats! Busch Gardens is really pulling out all the stops this year!
  8. Hmmmm a release before Christmas of THIS YEAR still seems really hopeful. They have been working on it for quite some time and something tells me they're just going to keep on working on it right though the holidays. But I did notice somewhere that they are just now putting the finishing touches on it, so there might be some light at the end of the tunnel. Or maybe that's the headlights of a train inside that tunnel...
  9. Capacity isn't that important to a park. But with the being said, I would certainly install one if I owned a park.
  10. Yes a Seattle area park would be good, but there would be an issue with so much rain. Carowinds pretty effectively covers both Carolinas and even a little bit into Tennessee, but I do like the traditionally Southern themed park done by Herschend.
  11. I never really liked the remote control trucks they have at some parks. They're just junk and it doesn't look like anyone ever uses them.
  12. NO! This country doesn't need any more Batman themed anything. The Six Flags chain has well taken care of that.
  13. That's good because I remember stories of how Deja Vu at SFOG was running for maybe 20 days total during a season and that was no exaggeration.
  14. It's nice that you guys are now operating out of Orlando and you can bring us these quick updates like this!
  15. $4 for a soda is absolutely insane. Even for a theme park (or other captive audience for that matter).
  16. Is there something you like about the Batman at SFGAm as opposed to other parks? They're all clones.
  17. Hold on a minute, because this is going to have quite the issue with up time since it's a GIB, isn't it?
  18. I don't think this is unhealthy, and certainly not dangerous. As for me, I don't really like these Topspin things, so I would make a hard pass on doing something like this.
  19. Well, Windseeker was a pretty high quality swing ride. It's much better than the swings that a few of the Six Flags parks have put up to compete with the Windseekers. Chains and spinning fast just isn't the way it should be done.
  20. I noticed this back by the Intamin drop tower they have at Carowinds. (I think it's just called "Drop Tower") I was wondering why they don't just remove the bees and wasps?
