  1. Many Vekoma rides just need to be smoother. The layouts can be pretty good at times.
  2. Screw all of the jokes, this right here makes the thread.
  3. That's the only thing I was thinking about when I clicked on this thread.
  4. This is no joke right here, they really do only use about a 10 foot stretch of the station. It's kind of depressing since it looks like the ride can handle more riders per hour.
  5. Polar coasters are great and everything, but they're really just for breaking height records, there really isn't much thrill in a Polar coaster.
  6. ^ 50 seems pretty high. Dollywood operated some rides at as low as 33 degrees (If I am also not mistaken)
  7. Yep. Maybe I can finally get that elusive Dare Devil Dive credit. I was just thinking about that the other day. The first day I get there this season, I'm going to DDD first. But really you've never gotten to ride it yet? It's been here for 3 years now. I know the lines are long but it is worth it for a first ride on it.
  8. I heard the airtime hill under I305's lift was AMAZING until they added the trim.
  9. Is that really true? I had no idea. That's why it's so expensive. But I can't imagine a sky coaster costs that much... $150,000?
  10. ANY wooden coaster named "Hurler" at any park. (There's only 2) They both need to be fixed up, or scrapped. The layout isn't that good anyways.
  11. YouTube isn't really social media, it's just media, but I use it daily as I would other social media sites like Facebook...
  12. ^/^^ Do they check up on the forums? I know SFOG used to check to see what we were saying on here and someone (I think it was Brad) used to post things on the SFOG thread.
  13. They may not include it because the 4 rail design was only made for Mind Bender and Shockwave, wasn't it?
  14. Tower of Terror gets boring after a few times. It is a good ride, but it's a short experience and the same experience every time.
  15. Would they charge that much if they weren't? Although, I don't think Parking should ever go above $10 but that's me. I think parking should be free. Everywhere. Driving is a necessity for some people (elderly, disabled, ect.) and therefore shouldn't be charged for. That's kind of like charging to walk on the sidewalk.
  16. ^ The only way to know is if SFOG posts something on their Facebook or Twitter and neither of those outlets have posted much on the matter. It's too bad the construction site is at the back of the park and no one can peer over the fence to take pictures, like other construction projects at other parks.
  17. ^ My aspirations for SFOG are a lot simpler. All I want is a new coaster. RMC, B&M, SLC, I don't care as long as it has wheels and rides on rails.

  19. I know of one exception to this rule. On Montu, they leave at least 1 train of the track in the form of a train left on the lift hill. You can see it every day when the park is not open. (night/early morning) The position where the train is held is shown in the following picture: The satellite image for SFOG was taken during the off season and it shows one of the trains for the Scorcher left at about the same point on the lift hill. Taken 11/17/2012
  20. I would take anything that rolls on rails for SFOG, but that's not going to happen in 2015. Maye 2017 or beyond. DDD is a pretty good ride and there is no need to add another coaster for a while.
  21. Tuesdays and Wednesdays during the summer are also very good for Great Adventure.
