  1. 1. Renegade - Sustained speed and quick directional changes throughout, lots of good floater airtime in the first half, and an amazing night ride. 2. Wildthing - Great airtime over the second hill, and a really fun first drop. Nice, long layout, and some good forces in the turnaround. 3. Excalibur - It has a lot of haters, but I love it. It's very arrow, but has a great first drop, and a particularly strong positive force followed by a brief moment of strong, ejector air. Best in the front row of the back car, when not stapled. 4. Steel Venom - Quality Intamin attraction. I enjoy the launches, and the front row is hard to beat. Great sense of speed going into the second forward pass 5. High Roller - This is one of my top "classic" wooden coasters. It has that old-style "bounce" to it, but isn't what I would call rough by any means. It also still has buzz bars. A decent ride with the trims on, and a stand out ride when the trims are unusually light going into the return trip. Nothing from Nickelodeon Universe really makes it in here for me. It's great for an indoor park, but it's still not as good as the ride experience that full-length, taller outdoor coasters can provide. Spongebob might have made it into 6th or 7th place, however.
  2. As little as possible. I typically wear cargo shorts with a zipper pocket that I keep my phone, wallet and keys in. I don't like trusting my valuables on a ride platform if there's multiple trains running, and certainly don't like paying for lockers. I used to carry a digital camera as well, but now my phone takes good enough pictures for what I want.
  3. Ah! Not sure how I missed that. Good for them! I wish that policy could be rolled out to all the parks.
  4. The new ones are definitely snap-able... the problem is that some parks have really started cracking down on snapping. At CGA the ops didn't care at all, but I've been told to stop at other parks. Hopefully it will be permitted at KI.
  5. I disagree. I think Corkscrew is more likely, given its age. Plus the land Excalibur sits on isn't really ideal for construction. However Arrows everywhere are in the high risk category, IMO, so who knows. We'll just have to wait and see.
  6. 1993 Kumba, Thunderation, and the successful version of The Bat at King's Island
  7. C&P's is one and the Coasters restaurant is the other. The park is not big enough for a third one because I have never seen both of them at capacity at the same time. Plus nobody is coming to VF just for sit down food, this is not Epcot. I'm sorry, WHAT? C&P's and Coasters get filled up almost every day. While there are slow times, it would help to have a third large-sized restaurant on most days. Also, while guests may not go to a park specifically for good sit-down food, they always appreciate the convenience. Sure, I don't go to a park for the restrooms, but I'm glad they're there. Having nice locations to take a break and eat something good is a major plus at a park. It's becoming an expectation because it helps complete the experience.
  8. I actually really dislike Goliath's drop. I don't like being firmly planted in my seat and watching the ground approach. From my experienced, the more parabolic drops create an increasing sense of weightlessness and free fall until they hit the pull-out. Part of the problem may be that it's not very steep though. It would be interesting to experience the ramp-style drop on something much steeper.
  9. These are super fun! One of the most intense flats out there if you know what you're doing. Last time I went insane-speed through the whole cycle, I ended up experiencing some temporary hearing loss. Although I agree with Robb, an unfortunately high percentage of the public can't figure it out. Hopefully it will be well-received.
  10. ^Never! There's more than enough room that's been made for new things from everything that's been taken out the last 5 years.
  11. When the trims don't kill the 2nd half, Wildthing. Otherwise, Mamba. However I'm sure If I get on phantom's revenge, I will be changing my answer.
  12. I only got on Banshee, but dang! It was a lot more fun that I had expected, not to mention it makes that area of the park so much better.
  13. I'm looking forward to lots of these, but what interests me most is Batman @ Fiesta Texas.
  14. Or just get rid of it... As long as they replace it with an amazing GCI (Gold Striker style), GG woodie (Ravine Flyer/Voyage mix) or Intamin woodie I still vote no! That's what Mean Streak's plot is for.
  15. It definitely can in certain areas, if there's no wind.
  16. Why wouldn't it? I have no kind of information whatsoever, but is there any real reason to rule them out besides the ever popular "Cedar fair doesn't work with __________" argument? Premier has some really good products. I'd actually love to see what they could do. Maybe Full Throttle itself wouldn't be a good fit, but the idea of a new launched looper on that scale seems reasonable at some point. Heck, I'd even be happy with a clone of Superman at SFDK. That thing is insane!
  17. Agreed. I just want them to do whatever is necessary to bring the 2nd half of the ride back to full speed again. Not having to come to a complete stop on the MCBR would make the ride so much better.
  18. I sadly haven't been on either version, but in my opinion.... awesome airtime > high-speed, terribly shaped Arrow inversions, and I say that as someone who actually loves Arrow rides.
  19. Excalibur at Valleyfair, at night, preferably in the rain. Not because it's the greatest ride ever, but because it's special to me.
  20. Interesting! I see they removed Power Tower so they would have more room for the demolition process.
  21. I think at some point, haunt is about facing your fears, and should stay that way. Also, as someone who's worked in a haunted attraction before, it would be really frustrating to have to worry about which guests are to be scared and which are to be left alone. Guaranteeing guests that they will be fine if they have a glow stick on them would probably generate complaints along the lines of "My kid got scared anyways!". A better alternative is just to walk through the areas during the day. Some kind of up charge behind-the-scenes, lights-on tour of a maze might be cool, and could also inform guests of the type of work that goes into creating these attractions.
  22. Vanilla Barq's Root Beer. Gotta love coke freestyle
  23. Fantasyland? Sounds more like a nightmare. Dreaming of putting more money into Excalibur is like putting lip stick on pig and expecting it to get prettier. The El Camino of roller coasters just needs to be put out of its misery and put out to pasture. If your going to dream, dream an entirely new coaster! Have you ever ridden anything that's been converted by RMC? The complaints people generally have about Excalibur are the transitions, trims, and short layout. All of that could be dealt with if it were converted. To be honest, I don't think this is what will happen, but it could be amazing.
  24. Human Nature - Michael Jackson
  25. I would also have to go with Superman EFK, as it's the only ride loud enough to actually make me angry every time if flies over my head. Honorable mentions go to S&S turbo drop towers and Intamin Impulse coasters.
