  1. Not much to base on at this point, but that mini-Eiffel looks pretty spiffy.
  2. Nice woodies! The only thing I have to say is watch out for that big turn on Harbinger after the first drop. I'm guessing it's in the spirit of Intimidator 305?
  3. Griffon's vertical drop. As close as I've ever been to freefall that didn't end with me on my face in pain.
  4. An SLC? You must not have a soul anymore For me, it's Alpengeist... a depressing 4 times. I really, really need to get to more parks.
  5. This is a fantastic report. One of the first where the culture credits outweigh the coaster credits - and I couldn't be happier about it.
  6. Der Littlepiggehs. You are just full of ideas, man!
  7. I wish fairs were like that here. We only have stupid county fairs with ghetto rides... Alpina Bahn looks a little rough judging from your video, whereas Olympia Looping looks pretty smooth. How are they holding up in their old age?
  8. My eyes suck, as in I need glasses, so that might be something. Although glasses are "in style" now, even with people who don't need them, which kind of bugs me.
  9. It may not seem like a hotspot, but central Virginia is actually not bad. I am within two hours of King's Dominion, Busch Gardens and Six Flags America, which are all large theme parks with good varieties of rides.
  10. I was hoping for a terrain woodie with a Raven-esque drop where BBW used to be, but this is awesome as well. I can't wait to ride it.
  11. That looks awesome. I can't wait to see what they do with it (and at BGW!)
  12. I liked the Bravo side a little better. I also think the loop feels out of place. Other than that, a fun racer.
  13. I think he means like Evergreen Gardens from the original RCT, a big map with a bunch of trees and themed areas so it's much easier to theme a coaster around the surrounding area.
  14. Vekoma Fan Boy, thanks! I really appreciate it. I had a lot of trouble with the inverted top hat. I just couldn't get it straight. Gmaster562, the way I did it was to go to Coaster > Statistics, and make a best guess on the height from there.
  15. Thanks for your comments, although what does "bad pumps" mean? Also, do you have any suggestions for improving heartlining? You are probably still better at it than me!
  16. Hi all, this is my first completed No Limits coaster. It's an Intamin launch coaster a little like Maverick with a 65 mph launch, an 145 ft inverted top hat, a zero-G roll, an inclined loop at several thrilling drops, airtime hills, twisty bits and everything else you can ask for. All of it was custom supported as well, which was another first for me. Please take a ride and enjoy the Caracal! Any feedback is welcome. Caracal.nltrack The launch track, into the inverted tophat. The drop out of the tophat. Overbank through the tophat. Zero G roll. Inclined loop right before the final brake run. The overall layout. The track is about 3,900 feet long, with a top speed of 65 mph and a height of 145 feet. I hope you liked it! Thanks.
  17. It does go both ways in terms of cloning, but at least for American audiences, almost every single Vekoma is a cloned model, whereas there are lots and lots of custom B&Ms and Intamins (and even Arrows!). Way more than custom Vekomas.
  18. Your first post was better than all of mine, combined. In related news, I think I would go just to say I went. So I could post pictures on facebook and brag to my friends. Would there be a flume ride there? If so, I'd be so there anyhow.
  19. Sheesh, I just read the plot summary for that... how is there a market for that kind of thing? What studio exec watches that and says, "Yeah, this is something I want my name to be attached to."
  20. Really, really great update. Cedar Point is one of those amusement parks that I don't think I could even fathom the volume of rides.
  21. 1. Open Paint (or equivalent) 2. Close eyes. 3. Draw cat. 4. Post it here. This is a place where those of us who think of ourselves as "bad at art" can finally show a masterpiece with pride next to the Da Vincis of the world, and feel confident that it is just as good, interesting and interpretive as theirs. Here is mine.
  22. Along with Intamin hydro coasters too. It's up to you to decide what counts as a credit or not! A simple rule of thumb is something that has a lift hill and a waterless track (i.e. not a log flume, even though that has a lift hill and track).
  23. Nice headchopper at 1:27! Good coaster too, it does have a little bit of everything. I like it!
