  1. This is a really fantastic park, the feel is great. Your layouts are unique and fun, yet recognizable and realistic. Also, welcome to TPR! I'd love to see some more of this park.
  2. Great photos. I saw them when the 360 tour hit my town last year (a year ago Friday actually!) and it was an unbelieveable experience. The thing that impressed me most, I think, was how their live music sounded very distinguishable and similar to the stuff you hear on CDs and the radio. A lot of bands seem to just pump out distortion and noise when they are live so much that it is hard to tell what song they are playing.
  3. Great report. It looks like you guys are having a great trip, no real duds it seems beyond Belantis and Sky Wheel. I can't wait until I can scrounge together a couple thousand bucks...
  4. "'Southwest Airlines to buy AirTran for $1.4 billion.' Hey Southwest, I think you’re over paying by like 1.4 billion." -Jim Gaffigan I guess not everyone is enthused.
  5. Cool report. I'm looking forward to what you thought about La Ronde.
  6. Definitely reminded me of El Toro. I agree with both ^ and ^^^. The turns around the end seemed really really sharp, and potentially painful, and I also think that having something else before the brake run would have been cool. It was going too fast to end!
  7. That place looks absolutely amazing. But once again, I'm forced to wonder about what will happen when the oil dries up... Any reason they built this a bit north of Dubai?
  8. This is a great park! I'd love to visit in real life. The layout for Cannonball Run and the surrounding area is brilliant. Also, love the new GCI. I'm guessing that scenery will be added soon?
  9. I have all these terrible roaundabout ways of doing everything! I really need a manual or something.
  10. This is the best trip report, ever. Sober trip reports are going to look so much tamer now.
  11. This looks really great so far. I love terrain coasters, so it's cool that every coaster is a terrain coaster.
  12. Falcon's first sequence looks like Batman. And that's not a bad thing, at all! I'll be following this park, definitely. It looks good so far.
  13. ^ From the first post. Similar, yes, a clone, I don't think so. I'm thinking this is like the Busch Gardens parks with SheiKra and Griffon and before that, Montu and Alpengeist. Each get a "sister" coaster of the same general type with a slightly different, but similar, layout.
  14. ^Even so, it doesn't take away from the talent you've shown here.
  15. One thing I do is when I'm done with a drop or a portion of the track, I go to Edit > Connect and ride the simulator and just ignore the atrocious ending. That way, you can ride your coaster bit by bit without having to finish it entirely first. Afterwards, Edit > Disconnect and keep building.
  16. This park is truly incredible. I loved the original RCT and I hate that I can't play it anymore. I love how you are making such a fantastic park with a great feel with nothing more than the game gives you. True talent!
  17. I am looking forward to it as well. Other than DarKastle, Oktoberfest has dwindled over the years with the removal of rides and coasters. It's so odd seeing that section of the park without a coaster since it opened with three back in the 1970s. Hopefully the drop tower and new buildings will be a good jumpstart to revialtizing that area. John Reilly also said in that video (about 2:30 in) that the new coaster will open March 2012 and that they will be releasing details about it over the next 18 months. Looks like they are planning to debut it when the park opens for the season which would be nice as they haven't done that since Apollo's Chariot opened in 1999. If the coaster does indeed recycle the old BBW location, that will be in Oktoberfest as well, revitalizing the area even more.
  18. Thanks larrygator. I appreciate you telling me this before I accidentally set someone off on the wrong track.
  19. ^It's back. As for the coaster, I enjoyed it. There were quite a few pumps but that's something you're aware of, so I'll leave that up to you. Also, I felt that the pacing was just a little slow overall.
  20. It is not a good idea to visit SFGAdv on a weekday in October! It's not? Why not? (I'm sorry, FLIPDUDE, I've never visited either, just trying to use what little knowledge I had)
  21. So... I'm guessing Newton2 and AHG don't exist for Mac.
  22. The two flagship coasters at Dorney are B&Ms too. Dorney probably has a better "atmosphere" than SFGAdv, but from what I've heard, it's easy to clear the park in less than two hours and on a rather off-season day in October it will be even easier and shorter. It also has only six coasters, so if you want quantity, hit up Six Flags. In October, especially on an October weekday, you could probably put a very large dent in the coaster lineup there, and it wouldn't be rerides of the same few over and over again.
  23. jray21, this is 100% off-topic, but could you explain what "to put sth smack" means? In general? Is it like "to put abruptly, all of a sudden"? P.S. I'm translating an article and I'm not sure I understand the expression. In this case, it means like "firmly" or "strongly".
  24. This park is shaping up really well. Much, much better than Freestyle! Let's hope it stays that way Looking forward to the expansions.
  25. ^ So, an extra surprise could be anything from seats tilting before the drop, or little "teaser" drops, or perhaps a fire spitting dragon just hangin' out up there. Okay, new idea: face first drop tower. Seats tilt 75 degrees.
