^I'm intrigued by this, as well. I rode the Georgia Cyclone once (in the second to last seat), and it was one of the most insane rides I've ever had on any coaster (the ejector air is ridiculous on that thing). I remember thinking, "They'd really have something here if they could just keep the trains from shuffling so much."

I noticed this pattern in the Voyage's inaugural season of 2006. I thought it ran pretty well in May and June, but not so great in August. I believe like 1,200 feet of wood was replaced after that very first season. I would love to see some TCO numbers of Voyage vs. El Toro in the very long term, like over 10 years. Oops! Make that "August 2010." I didn't transport myself into the future the last time I rode Voyage. -

Four coasters in one picture--it'll be quite a challenge to capture four trains in one shot when Skyrush opens later this year. Thanks for another wintertime look at what promises to be a great ride. -
Best coaster ride when raining

Thunder Coaster at Tusenfryd is particularly good in the rain, as is Viper at Six Flags Great America (I thought they were both pretty good when dry, too). -

^Dump a whole carton of Nestle's Chocolate Quik in that Crisco and pretend it's a Wendy's Frosty. -

^Good luck! The Daily Press (Newport News) mentioned Verbolten briefly today, but didn't really say much: This was in an article about work on Williamsburg area attractions in general. -

^I've been wondering if it has to do with the time of year: Does Voyage run better in the spring than in the summer? My good rides were in April 2009, and my bad rides in August 2010. -

I agree with this. The white-on-gray reads very well to me, too. -

I know what you mean. when I rode it in spring 2009, I really liked it--but what a difference a year made. -

^They need to do something. When I rode Voyage in 2010, it wasn't any fun at all--just rough and uncomfortable. -
It's un-australian to hate on Lethal Weapon mate. But not un-American. This ride stinks.

EUROPA PARK ... Christmas Edition !
cfc replied to GeorgeT's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I understand your feeling about the lack of snow. My parents live in Kings Beach, Calif. (Lake Tahoe area), and there was no snow near their house at all--and the elevation is over 5,000 feet in the Sierra Nevada. Europa was dressed up nicely for Christmas, though, and I agree with you about the Swiss area. -
Formule X is an excellent ride. I'm a big fan of Premier launched shuttles, too (the two Mr. Freeze rides are great). I haven't been on enough Mauer Shone launched coasters to have a strong opinion about them, so I think I'll go with Intamin LIM rides (particularly Cheetah Hunt and California Screamin') as my favorites overall. It'll be interesting to see how Zirer fares with Verbolten this year.

Sure you can, and you would still have time to hop over to Magic Kingdom for a few evening rides. If you're just hitting coaster credits, I agree with this. It all depends on how you want to spend your day. If you're really into animals and shows, you could kill the better part of a day at Animal Kingdom.

Two things: 1. It's spelled "Cheetah" (unless you're talking about the famous chimp from the old Tarzan movies). 2. It's difficult to answer your question without knowing your size, but the Intamin OTSRs on Cheetah Hunt are fairly accomodating for larger riders.
