  1. I agree, has this movie received the required pre-screening? Ah, but prescreening is not the point. It's all about the "joy" of discovery.
  2. I'm happy with the results myself, although I have had mixed experiences with Voyage (Balder will always be better, but that's just my opinion).
  3. ^Agreed. Although people are entitled to their own opinion, I don't see how anyone who has ridden Balder can prefer Voyage. But many people taking the poll haven't ridden Balder.
  4. Those snow sculptures and ice carvings are very impressive--I've never seen anything quite like them before (particularly the snow sculptures).
  5. ^The ending would feature an Avalanche.
  6. ^And the ballots numbered 666!
  7. Cool--Brad "Chuckie" Dourif is in this one, as well.
  8. The park's pictures are giving angles on this ride I haven't seen before. It's looking good. And the ride's story may make this the most heavily themed attraction at the park this side of DarKastle.
  9. Speaking of Verbolten, we just received this e-mail release from the park: New video and photos can be found here: https://www.buschgardensnews.com/page/verbolten
  10. Dick Tufeld died while watching the NFL Playoffs last Sunday. And who was Dick Tufeld, you may ask? This might jog your memory. Bob May wore the suit, but Dick Tufeld was the voice of the Robot. He started out doing radio voice work in the late 1940s, then moved on to television and cartoons (working for both Irwin Allen and Disney, as well as for other producers).
  11. I'm interested in seeing the new Spider-man characters in action--it's still the best ride at IOA. But I think I'm looking forward to the new mini-golf course more than anything else.
  12. Now that would be interesting. Tranan was one of the more unusual coasters I've ever ridden.
  13. I wasn't a big fan of Despicable Me as a movie, but I did like Gru--looks like he has a cool float, too. The new Spider-man characters also look great.
  14. All TPR trips should include add-os to Liseberg and Europa.
  15. ^^That looks pretty messed up--let's hope in a good way.
  16. They really are making great strides away from the old Cypress Gardens Adventure Park days. I hear they've been doing pretty well so far, and the water park should be a bonus.
  17. This would be their cuddly "face" character.
  18. Being as they don't sell individual ride tickets anymore, the poor old ticket shack didn't serve any purpose beyond ambience, anyway--just another structure that had to be maintained. I agree that the new sign will do.
  19. Sunday is when I usually go the park. The crowds are pretty manageable in April.
  20. Agreed. I'm glad that you're keeping us up-to-date on this project, Larry.
  21. Thanks for sharing that video, Shane--pretty smooth POV footage for a super-8 movie.
  22. ^^They're replacing Jaws with DCA's old Orange Stinger?
  23. I remember riding the Corkscrew during its first year at Knott's, and my family thought it looked so "intimidating."
  24. Hmm--American Eagle backwards would be an "interesting" experience.
  25. I don't think there is any confirmation yet, but it seems likely. They tried out a version of "Fast Lane" for Haunt mazes last year. Hence the rule of always riding Volcano first thing in the morning.
