  1. Doritos Goat and Best Buy are the best so far. GoDaddy...blech...
  2. I went last Summer and rode it. Yeah, it did look like it need some maintanince/refreshing. It really needs it in the elevator scene. Man, those screen look dated. Indeed, it was really bad right before it went down for rehab in January. Journey to Atlantis officially re-opened today, did anyone go today, and if so, were there any major changes to the multimedia?
  3. JTA's story is actually pretty cool, but no one every seems to pay attention to it. I'll be honest though, it's pretty hard to pick up on in its current form.
  4. While not even close to being as well done as Ben's park map, here's my latest sketch.
  5. My favorites are Cheetah Hunt's Parabola Hill, Manta's Pretzel loop (if you're in the front row, it's really bizarre), and Hollywood Rip Ride Rocket's triple threat ending.
  6. I'd definitely go with Indiana Jones and the Temple of the Forbidden Eye at Disneyland. There's no queue quite as unique as that one due to it's location and length, and the facade is a great gateway piece.
  7. SFMM needs to get Lonely Island to sponsor FullThrottle Edit: VV Yep, guess great minds think alike XD.
  8. This is making the rather large assumption that anyone outside of the animal-rights community will watch this documentary. Or care... I initially believed the documentary to be something easily dismissed as an indie film with very limited interest and release, until something caught my eye. There's a paragraph located towards the beginning of the article that I don't like the sound of. The film was not only viewed at one of the most prestigeous film festivals in the world, Sundance, but was also immediately acquired by two different media distributors who plan to release the film on CNN and in theaters. How wide will the theater release be? I don't know that information, but I would assume the film will be marketed along with the release to create buzz. While this acquisition by itself could likely give the movie a decent viewership, one also has to consider the content of the film. Visual media presents viewers with immensely powerful images that can be easily manipulated to forward someone's agenda. If one were to view media that depicts whales violently injuring trainers, would that not color their impression of the issue, without any rebuttal from the opposite side of the debate? In addition to such media being included, I doubt the filmmaker had the decency to inform any of the affected families that they would be showing images of their loved ones being injured in their workplace. Most likely, the familes wouldn't want such graphic media included. They're capitalizing on the injuries and deaths of trainers. Could this include any footage of Dawn Brancheau being harmed? Even if not, it's still unsettling in such a bias media source. I hope the film doesn't do well, but of it does, I sure hope Sea World will be ready with a very convincing rebuttal.
  9. Diablo III clone that's better than Diablo II, and free? And has the most advanced RPG skill system ever? Sign me up! http://www.pathofexile.com/ It's just opened up for open beta, and it's awesome.
  10. This is what Jaguar should have been.
  11. Mystic Manor has quite a large show building. What is known in terms of loading and capacity? I know they had that layout at D23 a few years back, but I thought there had been a lot of changes to it since.
  12. Now we wait, for the inevitable "nah". Edit: Well, now we wait for the permits and such to be tied up for another decade.
  13. Your dedication to this project is admirable, and your attention to detail is nothing short of astounding. I cannot wait to see the completed project. One question I have for the coloring: Will you be planting the pieces of track that have already been placed or are those the actual ride colors?
  14. One of the two initial plans had the spikes enclosed in circular tubes that looked like smokestacks, not the reach envelope you're thinking of.
  15. I like the logo a lot. It's more modern, but still has a classy boardwalk feel.
  16. I've always encountered more of an issue with the movements causing lateral head movement (basically head banging) that makes the ride a little less enjoyable, but just as intense. I think it really depends on the seat though.
  17. Evolutions are some of my all time favorite flat rides. The one that runs on the RCS Fair Circut throughout the Southwest US is a total blast and still remains one of the most terrifying experiences ever on a carnival ride. If these VISA Inverting flats are anything like Evolutions (minus the seat rotation aspect) then they'll be a blast.
  18. For all those who complain about Revolution's roughness. Go ride Desert Storm at Castles n Coasters, then tell me how unridable Revolution is.
  19. Tattooing Sheep? Where can they possibly go from here?
  20. I assume their current expansion will probably result in more parking spaces? As of now they appear to have quite a tiny lot!
  21. Bioshock Infinite is by far my most anticipated game of 2013. It's looking absolutely stunning.
  22. This looks like it's becoming the spiritual successor to the ruins Lincoln Park, in all the wrong ways. Who wants to start taking bets on how long it'll be before a major piece of the wooden coaster's track collapses from lack of upkeep?
  23. Gravity Group's Splinter^FX concept I'd say this is pretty much an identical concept to the Amber Mine ride in terms of height requirement and family style dark coaster. Although, it's probably on a slightly larger scale to accommodate a decent crowd. V Thanks for catching that.
