  1. Thanks for the info! Looking forward to the boards opening up. I hope the re-situating is going well.
  2. I love the laughably painful kick in the back seat of Cyclone at SFNE. I'd love to see what the negative G spike is for that.
  3. Now that it's pretty much officially the "off season", I'll mostly just be working more to both pay off the hole this past year has dug me and try to get together some funds for next years plans. I'm also going to Florida next week, so that's a fun little season extension. And I'm crossing my fingers for Europe in early spring, to start me off ahead of time! But yeah, school, work, friends. Maybe a good video game or two. Food Network. I'm happy.
  4. Cool pics Jake! I didn't realize half of these rides were there so I'm extra excited for China next year.
  5. Sledgehammer was open?! I miss it EVERY time! Hopefully next year...Leviathan looks great so far.
  6. Cool pics! Martin's Fantasy Island got one of those Stinger type rides, they're insane! I remember watching how much the legs jiggle and shake back and forth. It's definitely a cool ride experience. Thanks for the pics, fairs are the best!
  7. Damn, I miss it by a year. Meh. Was hoping they'd decide to get it going together again at some point in the future.
  8. The CW facebook page has some more pictures from the last couple days, the lift is about halfway up now. http://www.facebook.com/CanadasWonderland?ref=ts#!/media/set/?set=a.10150333128398924.351913.95469803923&type=3
  9. I'd love to go, I live about 3 hours west but still have never been. And unfortunately, I don't think I will be this season either. Sounds like a good event though! Hopefully next year.
  10. This is really cool. I've always loved building with K'nex but haven't in far too long. I definitely like K'nex projects like these over the No Limits stuff or any of that. Keep the progress going!
  11. Last night I had a dream my neighbors got this new little dog, and I was watching it out front from our window. It was running really fast all over the middle of the road, and making me nervous. Cars kept speeding by and weren't stopping for it, they'd pass right over it and it was just getting so lucky. Then I looked again, and it was like something under one of the cars had caught it and ripped its skin off, and its skin was over near the side of the road, and the dog was still alive, mostly skinned, trying to move. And I sobbed everywhere.
  12. This is really awesome to see out in the open, what's basically a drop tower for a coaster train. Very cool element, can't wait to see the finished product!
  13. Such a crazy report! I miss Knoebel's even more now, such a genuinely FUN park.
  14. Yesterday was definitely a good day. And I agree about Terror of London, it was so cool! And I really liked the Skeleton Crew show.
  15. Oh no! That's really terrible to hear. The City Museum is an incredible place...and I had no idea of the other projects he's worked on. Definitely an interesting man with big ideas. Hopefully someone will continue his work.
  16. Agreed. Those city shots are incredible!
  17. Loving all of these improvements! The index is really become so thorough, definitely an awesome tool. Thank you for all the work that's being put into it!
  18. I quite like Dorney, and Talon is one of my favorite inverts. I much prefer "fun" over force. But I'm more looking forward to your Kennywood pictures, and what's this Phantom's Revenge night ERT? Sounds amazing! Great pics Matt, keep them coming.
  19. I'd vote for you...but I don't know your name. And skimming that huge list, I didn't spot anyone with the initials RO. Edit: Nevermind, you did say in front of the sign. So I guess that's obvious enough.
  20. I made my first visit to Kennywood a few months ago and was blown away. I think in my top 3 of parks. I just loved the atmosphere, the food, and EVERY coaster was good (if not amazing). I can't wait to get back again.
  21. Ronde des Rondins (Kiddie Zierer) at Parc Astérix in France. Looking forward to some Behemoth action next month.
  22. I think I'd have too hard a time really organizing my favorites in order. But here's a general list in no particular way. Lake Compounce Silver Dollar City Dollywood SFOG SFNE Waldameer Kennywood Knoebel's Phantasialand Europa Park Efteling
  23. I've never really encountered parks that have different rules regarding it, but then again I don't ride many speed slides just because I think they hurt. I've always crossed over my chest, because then I can use one hand to plug my nose.
