Disneyland Paris (DLP) Discussion Thread

This is what I believe to be correct as well. Despite popular belief Vekoma also had nothing to do with the original Space Mountain track at Disneyland either. -

Anyone here get a chance to ride Extremeroller aka EXT? -
^This is true. Water pumps are huge energy hogs. During the summers a few years back when the power grids were under tremendous stress, SoCal Edison would ask KBF to conserve electricity. Perilous Plunge and Bigfoot Rapids were first to be shut down. Can't say I'm sad Log Jammer is gone as I never rode it anyways. Sorry fanboys.

That's like asking what auto manufacturers will be at an international auto show. Pretty much every amusement ride manufacturer will be there in some form. Obviously the larger companies, Intamin, B&M, Vekoma etc... will have the larger booths. The show also has a section for food vendors (less the Dippin' Dots guys), along with companies that sell front gate ticketing systems etc..... -

The restraints look similar to Carolina Cobra's restraints but obviously with the inverted design. -
To be fair......Flashback wasn't technically a maintenance nightmare per se, cause it was never open. One less thing to inspect every morning. I do get your point though. And since they've obviously given up on the whole "family friendly" thing, they might as well keep doing what they are good at, and that's thrill rides.

^^I would assume that the train undergoes constant inspection by B&Ms engineers during it's testing phase. Easier to inspect the wheel bogies without the wheel covers on. Another possibility is that B&M is still trying to fine tune the trains speed by swapping nylon wheels for polyurethane and vice versa to obtain the desired speed. Just my 2 cents..... -

Yea they are in a hurry. They had 2 guys on a cherry picker unbolting cobra roll track pieces, 3 guys unbolting the 2nd tower's cable winch assembly and 3 or 4 guys in the station disassembling things. Lift cables have been removed, train is gone, and catch cars have been removed from both towers from what I could see from Apocalypse yesterday. Sad to see Deja go but I'm happy that people will still get to enjoy it. I personally thought it was a great coaster. Hopefully the new Premier train will improve it's reliability and reduce maintenance costs.
