POLL: Waterslide Riding Position?
DJeXeL replied to Twister II's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
To my knowledge the manufacturer makes a recommendation and the operator decides (with insurance providers approval) whether to go with it or not. I would assume most parks would abide by what the manufacturer has recommended based on their testing while designing the product. -
Awesome report! Thanks for sharing. Looks like a nice little park. I'm surprised Zierer hasn't sold more of their LSM coasters.....

According to Wikipedia there's 5 Disko coasters: California's Great America (2006)-- Survivor: The Ride (Now Tiki Twirl) Kings Island (2006)-- Avatar: The Last Airbender (Now Surf Dog) Tykkimäki -- Trombi Movie Park Germany (2007)-- Crazy Surfer Chessington world of adventures (2010)-- Kobra I'll admit they are a lot of fun...

^The reactor fins on the cars do not physically get touched. The magnetic brakes bring the car to a crawl where the chassis of the car rests on drive tires as a means of "physically" stopping the car. As a last resort there is also a physical bumper that will stop the car should it reach the end of the MCBR.

^That you're aware of..... Technically waterparks are a liability in general but it does look fun. I'd still ride it..... -

Lawsuit waiting to happen. Looks fun nonetheless -
^Something to keep in mind is that park SOPs are a combination of the ride manufacturer's recommendations and the park's own policies and procedures. To add insult to injury, the manufacturer's ride manuals are normally loosely translated from German, Dutch etc...depending on ride manufacturer origin so things are guaranteed to be lost in translation. Sometimes there's a typo in ........plain and simple. In Raptor's case seems likely.
