  1. Let the complaints roll in......
  2. I can see people arguing over the floorless seats now......... lol
  3. This is a first for Intamin........Love it!
  4. That drop looks like something Stengel would have designed back in the day. Good amount of +Gs will be there looks like.
  5. 9 million will get you a transfer shed and a lift with B&M.
  6. That would be a good idea if they weren't trying to run a business.
  7. I honestly have no idea. I wouldn't be surprised if it was gone by now. Screamin still has all 7 trains.
  8. Most parks keep a stock of parts that are commonly replaced. IE: proximity switches, wheels, restraint mechanisms, motors for drive wheels etc.
  9. ^Now you're talkin! For some reason the portable models are a hell of a lot more fun than the Chance park models.
  10. A cable can be replaced overnight by 3 mechanics.
  11. Didn't get any scrapes on your back???
  12. ^Exactly. For the most part, Deja Vu at SFMM was clearly the most reliable and every time I visit it's open. More so than X2 sometimes.
  13. To be fair, Superman has minimal mechanical parts compared to other coasters at the park. Most of Superman's issues stem from electrical problems of some sort.
  14. ^That and the occasional stator bursting into flames!
  15. There was in fact an issue with one of the cables yesterday.
  16. ^Because relocating it is cheaper than purchasing a new attraction. Not to mention the GP won't know the difference. Hell, GP still thinks Termapocalypse is Psyclone with a new name!
  17. So I rode GL yesterday and let me say that I highly underestimated this ride. Had 2 rides on it, balanced (4 riders) and un-balanced (3 riders). Let me just say OMFG the unbalanced ride made my eyes water. The park does do a good job trying to make sure it's balanced unfortunately Rode twice and waited about 60minutes each time. Robb you were correct, you will get completely different ride experiences depending on weight distribution.
  18. ^No, I believe its been testing. Saw that same commercial and it does imply it's open.....
  19. I'm well aware that the hydraulic rooms are air conditioned but thermal related shut downs are more common in summer months for obvious reasons (after reading your post not obvious enough). The fault is not for High pressure. It's actually a fault for LACK of pressure because the fluid can't be compressed due to the extreme temperature. The pumps sit there and generate extra heat by trying to charge an accumulator that can't be charged due to extreme hydraulic fluid temperature. The ride will sit there and eventually time-out and produce an RTL. Thus when the RTL occurs the it's not a simple reset as you imply. The hydraulic fluid has to be transferred through "chiller" units to be cooled down to the proper operating temperature. During this process the ride can not be run.
  20. ^^I cant even begin to tell you how many people tried throwing things or did throw something off of Supreme Scream! Stupidity can cause injuries and even death.
  21. ^You were actually correct on the basic principal of what's happening & the additional cooling that is needed during the hottest parts of the summer.
