  1. Zoom was ahead of it's time. You guys will enjoy this.
  2. ^Shame on me! How could I forget Zoom?! Thanks for the reminder.
  3. Nothing wrong with more entertainment! Anything that guests (more specifically children) can be apart of is a good addition.
  4. Premier LIM coasters (without OTSRs) are great as well. IE: Mr. freeze @ SFOT
  5. Intamin. More specifically LSM, IE: Maverick
  6. Absolutely gorgeous pictures! Thanks for sharing.
  7. Speed Monster is a coaster that doesn't get mentioned often but looks like a kicka$$ Accelerator coaster.
  8. Bitter, Party of one. Your table is now available....
  9. Source: HW Facebook This has probably already been discussed but I think it's a pretty cool idea.
  10. The poly-urethane wheels will have the trains flying through the circuit. Having 3 trains means it'll also have a decent capacity. Thanks for the update. Can't wait to see testing.
  11. Disney Parks Blog gives a nice peek inside the construction walls. Things are coming together nicely. http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2012/01/behind-the-wall-cars-land-at-disney-california-adventure-park-2/
  12. ^ This is true. The operators try to avoid letting 3 riders on at all costs. They do have an unofficial single rider line which I've taken advantage of on a few occasions. They just have you wait for a group of 3 or a single rider from the queue and just like that your chance of an "insane" ride is gone. Either way GL packs a punch for its size.
  13. ^Have you ridden with 3 riders? When I rode with 4 we only got the courtesy flip at the end. With 3 we flipped like crazy as soon as we were off the lift....
  14. ^^There is definitely a possibility I was being sarcastic...............
  15. That airtime hill looks like it will be more than decent......
  16. If it's successful they'll do it again and if it's not they won't.
  17. That is a MCBR where the LSMs are also used as brakes should a train need to be stopped there. Here is an image of Bluefire's MCBR. Notice the LSMs. They need to be energized in order for a train to pass through. If there were to be a condition where the train needed to stop in the MCBR (IE: Fault, E-stop etc...) the LSMs will provide braking force. That's exactly why they are considered "fail-safe." They don't need power to stop a train. Maverick's lift hill and launch work the exact same way as well as Wicked's launch/tower section. This video shows Maverick's LSMs being used as brakes.
  18. Same person that claims Knott's is out of room.......
  19. They are LSMs. They provide a braking force when not energized. Similar to Maverick's lift hill/launch.
  20. Happens all the time and that was the #1 perk that I loved while working Riptide. "No it'll be fine in my pocket." On the first flip it goes straight in the water.
