  1. This is SF we're dealing with here. Everything is a little odd.
  2. I found the holding brake on Possesed at Dorney uncomfortable. I think V2 is better off without it.
  3. There can never be enough
  4. Wouldn't someone need to lube YOU up 1st?!?
  5. Not to mention the park has imported special dirt that's specially treated for Aquatrax footers to sit on.
  6. ^Followed by more Cowbell..........and then even more Schwarzkopf.
  7. Few things you need to keep in mind: 1- Knott's is a year round park so yes there will be times when you go and the coasters are running 1 train. Happens to EVERY park. Magic Mountain had 1 train op on Batman for an entire summer!!!! I want to say Summer of '08 but don't quote me on that. Let's not count the numerous times Riddler's has had 1 train (like right now) 2- Rehabbing a train/vehicle means replacing worn parts and if said parts that need to be replaced are on backorder from their manufacturer (which happens more often than you'd think) then that will obviously delay the parks ability to expedite the rehabbing of the train/vehicle. 3- Xcel's trains take 8 full weeks to rehab as well as a Silver Bullet train. 4- If it's the off-season (Jan-1st week of April) then that is the time all of the ride vehicles will be taken down for rehab 5- Knott's runs vehicles based on attendance. If the park has low attendance (Mon-Fri Jan-March) it makes no sense to run up the cycle count on vehicles that aren't needed. This puts them into rehab that much faster. 6- Bullet usually only has 1 train for Spring Break cause a train is usually in rehab. This I'll admit is unfortunate but it is what it is. 7- 1 train operation on a coaster is sometimes because a train reaches its maximum amount of cycles and has to be put into rehab and sometimes comes at a busy period for the park. Better than it not being open at all 8- If you're attending the Knott's day of WCB you'll be able to see the behind the scenes of Silver Bullet and you'll be able to ask the mechanics about all they do during a rehab and you'll realize it's easier said than done.
  8. Yes but rarely runs both. 1 is usually in rehab.
  9. Thanks for the update. I'm really digging that color scheme.
  10. Superman looks like an amazing hyper. After being on Mamba, Steel Eel, and Steel Force I can only imagine how good it is. Great report, thanks for sharing.
  11. ^^^I'm not complaining. Making a statement.
  12. Exactly! To be fair, Cedar Fair doesn't offer any coupons or free friend admissions so what SF does offer is better than nothing.
  13. I was looking through the coupon book and it's getting thinner and thinner every year.
  14. Today is the last day of operation until LL:DOD opens. NL's Family Vacation is one of my favorite movies and every time I visit the park I always think of "Walley World."
  15. I was very surprised that I got the rides I did today as I've never been too impressed with Colossus and would usually only give it a courtesy ride when I'd visit the park and would skip it all together when they had 1 train operation with the line spilling out of the entrance. Colossus thoroughly impressed me and outshines Ghostrider in terms of overall ride quality. I know I'll catch some heat from the GR fanboys but I stand by my statement.
  16. Went to the park today and crowds were light. Longest wait of the day was GL @ 30 minutes. X2 had a 30 minute wait in the morning due to late block check and sitting in the queue for 15 minutes while they completed it. X2 was down to a 15 minute wait around 430. The crew was doing an amazing job dispatching the trains. A train was dispatched to the lift while the other was coming into the transfer. There were doing this consistently. Riddler's still only has 1 train along with Ninja. Viper opened with 2 trains but removed one around 12. Tastu had its usual 2 train, 1 station operation but the line was still only 20-25 minutes. Apocalypse had 2 trains and was pretty much walk on the entire day. Walked right through the all pre-shows every time I rode. Deja Vu's former queue is still untouched along with its entrance sign. I'm sure they will be removed in a few weeks or so. Sorry no pics as I would've had to take them from the top of Apocalypse's lift which would be violating a park policy. Walked by S:EFK and the line was well out of the entrance so I passed since only "A" side was running until about 4. Shot a couple quick photos of Log Jammer's site while passing by. And the former Metro station.... Colossus is running like a dream. Got 6 ( 4 front, 2 back) very nice rides in today filled with some very nice floater airtime. Best rides I've had on Colossus in about 5 years or so. Entire section in red is getting extensive track work done and getting all wood replaced. Nice to see this gem getting some TLC.
  17. Thanks. I may splurge for that one day.
  18. Thanks for the photos! I've been to USH dozens of times but never did the VIP experience. How long is it approximately?
  19. I believe it's 4.5-5 Gs max.
  20. For the Hurricane Harbor fans..... Source: Screamscape/ProactiveInvestors
  21. Thanks for sharing these gorgeous photos.
  22. People would be a lot more interested if it was an Intamin Giga. Just sayin....
