^100% agree as I've operated a B&M Invert as well as an Intamin Rocket coaster for well over 5 years. Intamin wheels do need to be replaced more often.
^I've heard this as well however Intamin transfer track design keeps the load of the train on the road wheels at all times so not exactly sure how true this rumor is. It does make sense however.......
Correct, it's the maintenance bay. By moving the load of the train onto the center wheels, maintenance has access to the entire wheel assembly and undercarriage of the trains.
It'll probably take all of 2 weeks to erect ( ) the steel. Hardest and most time consuming part will be electrical wiring and programming.
I will admit however, it is a little odd nothing has taken place yet....
X2 operation has improved greatly! They were dispatching trains as the other was coming into the transfer constantly the past 3 times Ive been to the park since the beginning of the year. The park is doing A LOT better than it was back in 2001 which you can tell. There are some nagging items that need to be addressed such as general upkeep and cleanliness issues in attraction queue lines.
^While I was hoping for more ERT I still enjoyed myself thoroughly and want to thank all parties involved for organizing the event.
IIRC Neal said in last year's Q&A that they aren't making a whole lot of cash on the event so I can understand them not wanting to invest a lot of resources.
In the summer heat the trims will heat up since they are magnetic and will have less effect on trimming the train. Regardless, I'm not sure any B&M could be trimmed as much as Intimidator @ CW.
Viper is an antique. While I feel it will be removed eventually, I don't think this will happen for another 4+ years. Viper is a capacity monster thus why it never has a line. I remember a few summers ('06, '07) where they ran 3 trains and that crew was dispatching trains as soon as the lift cleared.
