  1. If you think Roar is rough.......come ride Ghostrider in the back. Guaranteed to knock some teeth out.
  2. It'll be so busy you'll need a Fastpass to sit on said bench.
  3. ^^Awesome. Glad to hear people are liking it and it's not the typical B&M borefest.
  4. Did you sit in an outside seat VS an inside seat when switching trains? That may have caused your difference in ride experiences. How's the pacing?
  5. Thanks for the video post. Other than a couple pops of air doesn't look like much else going on.
  6. That rumor has been floating around longer than the Giga-Coaster rumor..........BUT these rumors were from the "Pre-Ouimet" era which didn't really care for dark rides very much. With some former Disney execs behind the wheel, we very well could possibly see a dark ride.
  7. There are 3 coasters that close for rain. Of the 3, 1 is no longer at the park, 1 is already closed for LL:DOD construction and the 3rd is Goldrusher. At least last time I was at the park in the rain Goldrusher was closed.
  8. Can't speak for all Top Spins but the Huss Floorless TopSpin that I operated didn't have any physical "manual mode" buttons on the panel. All manual mode operations were done inside of a maintenance mode on the Allen-Bradley touch panel. There was a "key switch" on the panel that had an auto mode which was for operations and a manual mode which was for maintenance only. (They were the only ones with the key that was needed for maintenance mode) Once the maintenance mode is selected a whole new set of options will appear on the touch panel allowing maintenance to raise and lower the platform and manually jog the gondola and swing arms along with other maintenance functions.
  9. ^^Exactly what I thought. I had heard so many negative things about this park you would've thought it was the worst park in the chain and it is FAR from. The customer service experience was really good and operations were efficient. Operators would interact with guests over the PA without being overly annoying. (IE: Tatsu operators)
  10. ^My bad, yea I forgot about the Zamperla flywheel launch. Especially sad because I operated 2 flywheel launched coasters for 3 years! Zamperla flywheel launch is extremely reliable but the power isn't there. Hydraulic launched coasters have unmatched power but reliability is greatly reduced.
  11. LSM/LIM launch coasters are the future. I honestly don't see Intamin/S&S selling a lot of the "Mechanically" (IE: Hydraulic or Compressed Air) launched coasters anymore either. LSM/LIM coasters offer greater reliability.
  12. ^^Definitely a possibility I was being sarcastic.
  13. ^I feel your pain on that!!! Guests think the seat belts are there for decoration.
  14. I'm thinking something to do with TTD but can't figure out what exactly.........most likely something in the Hydraulic room.
  15. Thanks for the link. From the parts we could see the train looked to be flying through the course.
  16. ^^Any coaster can "rattle" over time. I'm no engineer but I'd have to say its a combination of things..... - Wheels types that are used. Nylon is harder than polyurethane so more likely to rattle however there are some exceptions to this. (IE: Riddler's Revenge, BM:TR @ SFMM) which are both still extremely smooth. - Amount of riders on train makes a HUGE difference. Scream @ SFMM with only 3 or 4 riders will rattle the teeth out of your head but when the train is full the rattle is almost non-existent. I will say that Intamins do develop rattles over time. I like to call it the "Intamin Shuffle." Kingda Ka has a really bad rattle and almost feels like there's a 6" section of track missing at the end of the launch. California Screamin' also has a nice rattle at the back of the train exiting the loop.
