Haven't been on TW since '95 but I can only imagine that it's pretty painful. -

Rocky Mountain is partnered with anyone that has cash. ^QFT -
We tried using our Xtreme Pass from SFMM for parking at SFGAdv in 2010 and all hell broke loose. The parking attendant looked at it like it was a 3rd party post dated check. Then a lead came over, then a manager. After the second manager came over we decided it was probably just worth it to pay the $15 and be done with it. Lucky for us the 2nd manager that got involved gave us a refund for the $15 we paid and the second day we went to the park we had no issue at and were let right into the parking lot without question.

Rumor has it via Screamscape that Sooper Dooper Looper will be receiving new trains from Gertslauer for the 2012 season.......... -
^Funny thing is we waited almost 30 minutes once inside the station!! I really enjoy going to SFDK every year don't get me wrong but this was just ridiculous. The gates were held long enough for the train that was cycling to return to the station approach and stack. At that point they would load 10+ flashpass users and then open the loading gates. This process was repeated for every dispatch. Now to be fair this was back in summer of 2008 and Medusa's operation has been greatly improved since their operations director got a hold of the video off of Youtube.

CMR and TMLR go down for a few days while they install the Haunt props. After that then yes it's open during the day but all the haunt stuff is covered you're correct. But in general, whenever TMLR is down either for Haunt prep or rehab, guests do not like it at all. Even though it's posted out front of the park in 2 different places as well as Knotts.com, people still b*tch and complain.

WOC fastpasses are available up until an hour before show time on the 1 show nights and on 2 show nights they are available until the 1st show starts or until they book out, whichever comes first. Soarin' has had the same film since it opened but there's been rumors flying around (pun intended) since 2007 about the film being changed but has yet to happen. I always thought it should have different films that change with the season but that's just my 2 cents....

^This is true. I've always been impressed with how well Universal has done with their 5 mazes so I figure if Knott's can raise the bar with only 5 mazes they'll be OK but you're absolutely right, the GP would be thinking "Why don't they have as many haunted houses as they used to?" This was my first year going to Queen Mary's Dark Harbor and it's definitely noteworthy. Fright Fest @ SFMM is going in the right direction as well even though it's not near being worth a separate admission BUT it is moving in the right direction and possibly may be worth a separate admission in a few years. The competition for So Cal Haunts is getting fierce so Knott's has their work cut out for them.
