  1. I really liked Slammer at Thorpe park. Rush on the other hand was a bit dissappointing. It was a fun ride, but somewhat tame. I like KMG Afterburners better as they are alot more powerful.
  2. Complete retracking on Thundercoaster and new PTC trains that doesnt ruin the track. Its such a shame that a coaster can turn from fantastic to just 'alright' in a few years. Most of the ejector airtime has turned into light-floater air. A steeper second drop would also be amazing!
  3. The most painful coaster Ive been on is definately Volare @ Prater. Wild Train @ Erlebnispark Strasswalchen is probably the most fun coaster Ive ridden. It was so crazy, I just couldnt stop laughing. Even after 37 rides I still wanted more. When it comes to other rides, I have to pick the Eyerly Rock-o-Plane. It hurts like hell, but its just so awesome at the same time
  4. When I was in Prater park earlier this summer they were still working on "The Bell" and quite a few of us were wondering what the heck it was. Well theres now quite alot of info about it aswell as some pictures on http://www.funtime.com.au/
  5. Greased Lightning http://www.rcdb.com/id2379.htm Coasters from Old Indiana http://www.rcdb.com/pd89.htm Shockwave http://www.rcdb.com/ig4.htm Hope this is what youre looking for
  6. Having been on 2 schwarzkopf coasters, I can imagine Zonga being quite painful with OTSR. Schwarzkopfs are usually smooth, but they also throw you around a bit. Im sure Zonga would be fantastic with lapbars only.
  7. RCT3 screenshots are automatically placed in My Documents -> My pictures -> RCT3
  8. I hate teenage girls who starts screaming like crazy as the train rolls slowly out of the station
  9. Speed Loop, a Pinfari looper that came with a fair. Horrible ride!
  10. Definately Speedmonster! It looks fantastic. I might be able to try Humdinger or Black Mamba next year too
  11. Ooooo Im so excited! Is it april yet??
  12. I just though it was weird because this picture was taken before the ride opened and the train has 5 cars http://www.rcdb.com/ig1896.htm?picture=40 Edit: Umm nevermind! I wasnt looking very closely at the picture so I thought the nose section was a car
  13. Aww the trains looked so cool with the engine and the tires. Oh well... Btw, does anyone know why they changed the train length on TTD a few times? As far as I know it started with 5 cars per train and it still has, but on the picture it only has 4 cars. I've also seen video clips where theres only 4 cars per train and the train is totally flying over the top. Edit: Some of the pictures on RCDB also shows the ride with only 4 cars per train.
  14. Wild Train @ Erlebnispark Strasswalchen has some crazy ejector airtime
  15. Fuga da Atlantide in Gardaland uses cable lifthills. The cars/boats stops (as far as I remember) at the bottom of the lifts and waits for the catch car to come down. It may seem pointless for such a small ride, but it takes no time to get to the top. I belive it helps increasing the capacity in such a busy park as Gardaland as its much faster than a regular lift.
  16. Im definately gonna visit Tusenfryd and Liseberg next year. I have also been thinking about going to the UK and visit Thorpe, Chessington, Alton Towers, Drayton Manor and Blackpool Pleasure Beach. If not, I might be doing a trip to Denmark
  17. I havent downloaded the park yet, but Ive seen the screens over at nedesigns.com (been lurking there for quite a while) and it looks very impressive. I really like the Giant TopSpin
  18. I belive Intamin woodies requires alot less maintenance than "regular" woodies, because the track does not consist of many layers of wood, but one thick wooden beam. When I rode Balder earlier this year, it was smoother than most of the steel coasters Ive been on, while Thundercoaster (Allot & Lomax woodie) has gone really crappy and its only one year older.
  19. Colossos @ Heide Park is slightly taller than El Toro, the structure is all wood and people say that its as smooth as it was when it opened 4 years ago
  20. The Beast and Son of Beast (PKI) has 36 seats per train
  21. Nice trip report! I was in Thorpe park earlier this summer with 8000+ school children in the park. The lines were massive! Rode Colossus once in car 6 after waiting 20-30 mins with fastpass. I didnt like the ride at all as I hit my head pretty hard into the restraints in the bottom of the first drop because of the vibrations. Its also the noisiest coaster Ive ever heard, it sounds like a car crash. Nemesis Inferno was alot of fun, and Slammer was awesome! Like you said, the forwards rotations are the best. I just love the feeling you get going over the top. Rush is a fun ride, but rather tame.
  22. I wonder if anyone will buy Bullet and Magnum Force. From what I have heard, the park hasnt taken much care of them and that they are in very bad condition. And spare parts for Schwarzkopf coasters cant be easy to get.
  23. Volare (Prater) was an awful ride that I never want to ride again. So much headbanging through the turns. The rolls were okay though.
  24. Great trip report! Blackpool Pleasure Beach is very close to the top of parks I have to visit sometime. Maybe next year...
  25. Excellent videos Robb! Liseberg is such an awesome park with 3 fantastic coasters. Im hopefully going back there next year
