  1. Wild Train @ Erlebnispark Strasswalchen. That ride is just so damn funny!
  2. That hotel looks fantastic! Great work using 1/4 tiles!
  3. It varies alot. Nemesis Inferno hits the lifthill pretty fast, but the transition is very smooth. Magic Mountain @ Gardaland is a totally different story. You can actually see the cars shake from the ground when they are 'catched' by the chain.
  4. If you convert the picture to a jpeg file it will decrease the file size alot and you might not have to decrease the picture size at all
  5. Ahem the park is finished. The download is at the bottom of the first post. I can understand that it was easy to miss. Yngve "That explains why people were asking for more screens" Oestbye
  6. Is that the drop tower that used to be inside that mall? (cant remember the name of it). I know it got relocated to an outdoor park.
  7. Holy crap that looks REALLY impressive! Hopefully the ride will be good too.
  8. Alright heres some more screens. Enjoy! [/img]
  9. I just watched some of those queueline videos and dang they were awesome! I really liked the one that they didn't use. I don't think its obvious why they didn't use it. It didn't say anything about the ride crashing. It was just a news story about a car disappearing in the tunnel without any signs. It said that there were no 'crash scene, no car, no survivors'. I though it was an awesome video.
  10. Trim brakes and mid-course brakeruns(MCBR) are two different things. MCBR's are used to make it possible to run multiple trains at the same time. Trim brakes however are very short brake segments and are only used to control the speed of the train through the track. They are too short to stop the train in most cases and are not considered to be blocks. But MCBR are also often used to slow down the train.
  11. Heres a park I build a while ago. Its a fairly small park located in the woods, but it should be worth checking out. Main rides are a GCI style woodie, an Arrow looping coaster and a Schwarzkopf shuttle loop, but there are also many other rides. Adventureland.SV6
  12. ^That is the 2nd gen Vekoma looping coaster trains. The first ones looks a bit more like the Arrow trains http://www.rcdb.com/ig669.htm?picture=4 And those who said that Arrow built half of this ride were probably thinking about Ninja @ SFSTL. As you can see in the pics of Kamikaze (now Ninja) its also running Vekoma trains and not Arrow.
  13. What about this one http://www.rcdb.com/id1552.htm ? Rode it last summer. What an awesome ride!
  14. Use a picture editing program to convert the images from BMP to JPEG files.
  15. YAY Norway just got gold and bronze medals in todays skijumping contest after the most exciting second half ever. And Frode Estil from Norway got silver medal today in men's cross country, even after breaking his ski when he fell after only a few feet. Yngve "this has been such an exciting day" Oestbye
  16. I think it looks great! Thanks for sharing the link. Hopefully it wont be too rough, but Vekoma seems to be improving lately
  17. That park looks fantastic! I love the theming
  18. I heard she was trying to get her jacket which was caught in the restraints, but I can confirm it.
  19. From what I have heard, B&M usually doesnt do pull-through tests. Apparently they are very confident in themselves. I have never seen pictures of a pull-through test on a B&M, but I wouldnt be surprised to see it on Black Mamba because of the tight clearences.
  20. 1. Intamins work seems to vary alot, but in many cases it seems that its the parks that doesnt take care of the rides properly. When Intamin gets it right, they make fantastic rides. 2. If you compare how many people who are killed after falling down the stairs or in car accidents to the number of people who have been killed on Intamin rides, I think its safe to say that theres no reason to be especially afraid on Intamin coasters. Like others have said before me, there have been nothing wrong with the rides that people have been killed on. Yngve "the only ride I have been afraid on was Volare" Oestbye
  21. That looks like an excellent park for families. Thanks for sharing these pictures. Its always interesting to see pictures from lesser-known parks
  22. To me it looks like they have been painted grey. It looks fantastic anyway!
  23. Its not a coaster. Heres the ride hes talking about http://www.nojespark.net/tivpegasus/index.php
  24. Had to vote for Kanonen as its the only one Ive ridden, but in a few months I will hopefully have a new favorite
  25. If El Toro rides like Balder, it wont feel like its out of control. Im absolutely sure it will be a fantastic ride, but it probably wont throw you around at all. And OTSR on an Intamin woodie wouldnt hurt your neck because your neck probably wouldnt touch the OTSR at all during the ride.
