  1. Looks very good, but you should bank the upwards turn after the cobra roll
  2. I always enjoy a coaster that throws you around a bit, but only if it has lapbars. I really enjoyed Tizona @ Terra Mitica when I rode it in 03 because of the uber-soft padding around my head, but Blue Tornado @ Gardaland wasnt that enjoyable. Harder padding and overall a rougher ride. The only smooth part was the extra helix. Yngve "Imagine how awesome a smooth SLC would have been" Oestbye
  3. Great pictures! These guys must be really dangerous since they got the fence from Jurassic Park
  4. 5 degrees celcius, wet and dark
  5. Pretty much the same as the Intamin lapbars on steel coasters. http://www.rcdb.com/ig1243.htm?picture=12
  6. Damn that is one funky shaped element
  7. Its a HUSS Giant Frisbee. The Intamin Gyro Swings are smaller and wider at the top. And yeah, that park looks amazing!!
  8. Wow! The speed through the turn after the loop on the rocket coaster must be insane!
  9. There havent been any updates since the pull-through test in December. Im not sure if those pics have been posted here yet though. You can find them here http://www.nojespark.net/tusspeedmonstercon/index.php
  10. Just out of curiousity... why do you hate it? And which coasters do you like?
  11. Hows that possible? Does the train hit the brakes with the last car first?? Okay just had to say that. Anyway, I havent been on Nemesis but Ive ridden Batman la Fuga (which many people says its faster than your average B:TR) and I cant image how great a ride more intense than that one would be, with trenches, tunnels and hidden inversions. Nemesis is definately one of the coasters I want to ride most. And for those who thinks there are too many Batman-clones: All over the world there are 12 clones (+ the original). In my opinion there arent too many. 8 in the USA, 1 in Canada, 1 in Europe and 3 in Asia. If you havent noticed, the world is HUGE and I wouldnt consider 13 identical rides spread out all over the world to be too many. Not when were talking about such great rides. The SLC's and Boomerangs is a different story though....
  12. Great pictures! Many pictures from interesting angles there.
  13. TTD/KK Millenium Force Magnum XL-200 EGF Goliath Walibi World Colossos Heide park Nemesis Black Mamba And my list wouldnt be complete without some good ol' Schwarzkopf's: Mindbender, West Edmonton Mall MindBender, SFOG Shockwave, SFOT Olympia Looping Zonga Any shuttle loop
  14. No its built by Arrow Dynamics. Wild Thing @ Valleyfair was the first Morgan hyper and it opened 7 years after Magnum.
  15. Its impossible to make a 4D coaster with proper heartlining because the trains are so wide. And you cant 'heartline' the center of the track because if you did that the track wouldnt be heartlined
  16. I speak Norwegian perfectly (doh), I consider my English to be very good for a Norwegian and I can understand some German.
  17. If you look at the track connectors on the support structure you will see that the track has to be inverted.
  18. I heard about that park a while ago. Sounds interesting as there were some rumors about a possible wooden coaster. Their website definately needs a new graphics designer though
  19. YES! This was definately a very nice addition to the site
  20. While it probably was a crappy ride, its (almost) always sad to see a coaster being demolished. Walibi World Belgium should get the Schwarzkopf Looping Star from Bobbejaanland and put where Tornado stood.
  21. The one at Prater Park had a seatbelt. And yes, it was freakin amazing. One of my favorite non-coaster rides
  22. You cant forget that B&M improved the flying coaster. Anyways even if B&M stole the flying coaster, Vekoma stoll the inverted coaster and just made it suck. Yeah youre right! My point was just that it sounded like some people here meant that Vekoma has stolen all of their ideas from other companies, and other companies like B&M and Intamin has never done any of that.
  23. Hehe, did you really expect more from Vekoma? Their niche is taking proven designs and creating their own version, price it affordably, then cloning it to high hell. For example: B&M Inverted > SLC Arrow Suspended > Swinging Turns FOF > RnRC Dont forget that B&M "stole" the flying coaster concept from Vekoma
  24. Yeah that was my thought too. It looks like its gonna collapse.
