The first picture is Kentucky Rumbler. The second picture is a model of Thunderbird @ Powerpark. -
I dont want to take any pictures of my room at the moment because its a bit messy. But this is what it looked like a little over a year ago after we renovated the entire room. My computer desk is outside the left side of the picture. I also have a really comfy chair to watch TV in aswell as my sleeping couch.

It doesnt really tilt up. Its more like its 'jumping' around as it spins. Check out this awesome video. Right after the 3 min mark everything goes crazy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qzUARGecmsA&search=tagada

Scenery and Theming
viking86 replied to BiCoastal Kid's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
YES! I had a fantastic time at Gardaland, even though they didnt have a single good coaster. This was mostly because the atmosphere in the park was just beyond amazing, with beatiful scenery and theming no matter where you were. Its not always neccesary, but in most cases I enjoy a park with beatiful theming/scenery alot more than a "standard" park. The only exception I can think of at the moment is Wiener Prater. Okay, so there is a huge 'regular' park and a small forest right outside the park, but the amusement park section is just a huge bunch of old, classic rides and modern thrill rides. But its just such a perfect combination, and the atmosphere is really great! -
Best coaster ride when raining
viking86 replied to verticalzero's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Thundercoaster @ Tusenfryd: When its dry, its too slow and has mostly floater airtime. Its also quite rough. But when the track gets wet it becomes a completely different ride with the train flying over the hills. And this coaster doesnt have the smooth airtime that can be found on Balder a few hours away. Thundercoaster throws you into your lapbar so fast its almost painfull. I cant belive how big the difference is between wet and dry track... -

That is beautiful, but I think that the clock tower would look better if it was a part of a bigger building. -
Go Norway! Oh wait, we didnt qualify... Since Im pretty much neutral I hope that one of the lesser-known countries wins, although we all know that the chances of that happening is pretty much zero. But Greece really was a surprise in the European Championship two years ago. If I have to pick a favorite, I think I have to say Japan. The discipline of the players is just amazing. You rarely see japanese players complain about the referees decision, and the same can be said about faking injuries. Its a shame they lost against Australia today, beause they should have had a penalty towards the end.

best AIRTIME!!!!11!!!
viking86 replied to colossus's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I have been saying this many times on this site and I cant stress it enough. None of the coasters I have been on can compete with Wild Train @ Erlebnispark Strasswalchen in Austria when it comes to airtime. Some of the hills have absolutely insane ejector airtime. Forget Balder and its "pushing you quick, but softly into your lapbar"-airtime. On this ride you are slammed into the bar! The only coaster I have been on that comes anywhere close to it is one of the last hills on Thundercoaster in the rain. After coming around the last turn you go over a tiny hill before it drops into the structure. Its absolutely flying over that hill when its raining and, like Wild Train, it slams you into your lapbar. For those who wish to check out what the amazing Wild Train is like, take a look at this onride vidoe http://granat.es.lth.se/~olofsrnm/nyrc/rchq.php?page=movies&id=1060 -
I havent ridden any, but considering the possible dangers of riding those I wouldnt be surprised if there are none in the US.

The Maurer Söhne Wild Mouse coaster in Wiener Prater. It has multiple sharp stop-and-goes at the end. Thundercoaster @ Tusenfryd has a pretty quick stop aswell. Wild Train @ Erlebnispark Strasswalchen as it comes screaming into the station. None of these are really painfull though.

Its a fast, but very relaxing ride at the same time (unless you suffer from acrophobia). Its a really great feeling once youre used to being all the way up there. I dont know how tall the one at Plopsaland is, but the others I have seen are in the 200 ft range. Another great thing about the Starflyers is that they dont have the nauseating (for me) wave movements that the regular chairshwings have.

Whats your favorite Vekoma?
viking86 replied to Neogreeneyez's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Im not sure which one is my favorite, but there are a few that I really like: Megablitz @ Wiener Prater : This coaster was built by designed by Stengel and built by Vekoma in 1994. Its very smooth, and its absolutely flying through those helixes. RCDB says 4.8 G's and it definately feels like it. Stunt Fall @ Parque Warner : A Giant Inverted Boomerang built in 2002. Rode it in 2003 and thought it was a great ride. Wasnt rough at all. Very scary going backwards up the vertical tower. Thundercoaster @ Tusenfryd : A very rough wooden coaster, but in the rain its a fantastic, wild ride. Better than Balder in my opinion, but it is too slow when its dry. But in the rain its pure insanity. Im not quite sure how much Vekoma did on this coaster though. According to this article Vekoma only did the trains, brakes and mechanical system. If I had to pick a favorite of these three, I would have to say Thundercoaster, but thats only when its raining. -
Mine is a picture of Wild Train @ Erlebnisspark Strasswalchen, the wildest coaster I have ever ridden. Check my signature for the rest of the info.

Dude relax! People will answer if they know the answer to your question. Three unneccassary posts in a few hours wont change that. Please try to have a little patience! The NE part of NEdesigns stands for New Element. Heres the link to the website www.nedesigns.com. Its basically where all the "kings" of RCT are. -
Hey guys I'm new!! (SFGAdv Questions)
viking86 replied to n00b's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
There are 6 B&M Mega Coasters operating in the world today. Millions of riders have enjoyed these coasters and not a single restraint has ever failed to keep the passenger in the seat. Like I have said earlier, things you do everyday like walking down stairs, crossing roads, driving, etc. are far more dangerous than riding rollercoasters. If these things were unsafe they wouldnt exist. -

Coasters & their most MESSED up moments
viking86 replied to Mr. Volcano's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
The twisting hill on Kanonen is insane: http://www.rcdb.com/ig2905.htm?picture=30 This entire coaster is pretty messed up which is why its my number one coaster: http://www.rcdb.com/ig2775.htm?picture=22 The hill that the train just has passed under is like an ejector-air hill, but with high banking so you get insane negative G-forces and insane lateral G-forces at the same time. And its NOT a smooth transition. 37 rides on that coaster in one day left me with a giant bruise on my left side. -
