  1. Hi, I Have heard some rumors about of this park: Rainbow Magicland in Valmonone near Rome / Italy. It´s scheduled to open in 2011 and will get two Maurer & Söhne Coasters (1 Spinning / 1 X-Car launched coaster) and 2 more coasters - A family coaster and a mine train. Rcdb.com has listed this park, too. (here) Here you can find the homepage of the park: www.rainbowmagicland.it/index.asp and a english pdf (here) The ground work has just begun and I found some pictures of the construction area on italian sites. Maurer & Söhne says the spinning coaster starts construction soon on their site. (here) and mentioned their 2 coasters in their last magazine on site 3 (here) I guess and hope we have some Italian members, who will add more informations about the progress and so that we all can get more information. Just want to start the discussion about that park, since I didn´t find anything in the forum until now. EDIT: Let´s have a look on the pictures published in the pdf of the park´s homepage:
  2. Larry, you have to write "Riesenrad", not "Reisenrad" Translated, it´s called hughe (=riesig) wheel; you said travel wheel ... travel (=Reise), wheel (=Rad). So it would make also sense, cause on a "Riesenrad" you travel around Again, nice Report!
  3. Wow, thats really amzing! I traveled a lot with my parents, I guessed until now LOL, you count in Jeff Johnson Credits, too! Love that
  4. While watching a coaster expedition dvd of Japan I aked myself, visited Kidtums in her age now all three continents of the world - except Australia and afrika?!? How many different countries she already has visited now? She isn´t only the princess of coasters, she rules the world! Amazing.
  5. That´s sad, they´ll miss something of their unique style. But watching it from the economical side, I guess you´re right.
  6. Isn´t that normal on this ride? I know it from my childhood and ride it as a young teenager. Always I´ve watched it and ride by myself, people were trying to stand up. Would like to have some attraction back on german fun fairs. Didn´t see them anymore. Do I remember right, that there exists also a Standup version, where you can´t sit / you´ll stand on the wall? - Have to go to Wien and the Prater in the next years; it´s a really beautiful town and the prater looks great. Like the sceninc railway -
  7. Well see, GeorgeT, I followed the built of Blue Fire in many german forums and over here at TPR. After I rode it last year the first time, I liked it and I was very happy to see that MACK did a hughe coaster for their first time. In my opinion, they did their work well and built up a very smooth ride with the greatest trains I ever rode, until now. That could be a good start for the future with this type of ride. But, after I rode BF, I thought too... OK, it was fun, but there wasn´t much airtime, no thrill and the launch was to slow and short. I didn´t like their first hill and asked me, why they didn´t something more similar to the intamin hills. The loop, yes, it´s a large loop, but not that intense, heartline roll... - I´m not that fan of it, until now. And don´t forget, MACK and Europapark itself said they more want a ride for the family, with a thrilling elements, but not a thrillride. The most people discribe BF as a thrillride and most expect something like that. Theming... yes there is a theming, but not a Europapark like theming I would have expected - I heard it has a little bit changed now, since I was there the last time. I actually more like riding the silverstar - but there I would be on my own now I guess. And EGF, you can´t compare in my opinion, it´s still the best coaster in germany, for me still the best coaster I rode and I´m looking forward to ride again, soon. Don´t want offend somebody with my explanaitions or begin a discussion. Tried to help you understand, why it´s possible that someone could think that BF isn´t that good as it was hyped or be disappointed, after reading so extreme things like "best coaster on earth", etc. And you can see on my avatar, that I like BF and had fun there. It´s a great ride and I´m looking forward to more MACK rides like it, but like with 13 it´s totally overrated by many persons. You´re right, although it´s a personal thing - for example, in my opinion Black Mamba is more intense than Nemesis, but I like Nemesis as a ride itself more than Black Mamba And I know, I will be one of the minority and have offended now some Brits So, let´s hear what Elissa will share next with us... looking forward to it.
  8. If you ever plan again, pleeaaassseee sign me in! It was so much fun and a great time! Another Bonus Credit for me, my first water coaster! I loved the time we had there and missed the free alcohol, because I stayed the whole time in the water But for the community I have to do some workout before the next waterpark ERT, so the dancing videos are looking more beautiful I agree, the hype about that coaster don´t fit to the reality; it´s just fun and a very good coaster - for a first ever built greater coaster by MACK. I like the look of it. And yes I share your opinion, the trains are the best thing of the ride, they´re so comfortable. Thanks for sharing again your thoughts about the trip.
  9. Hi Larry, great Trip report so far! I´m glad, you enjoyed your Trip on your own, after we met at Phantasialand and Efteling. With your last Photo TR of the Salt mine, you bring me back some memories of my childhood years, I totaly forgot about! Thanks
  10. Robb, I get curious about myself while I read this topic and laughed out! I was amused by your post and the stupidity mailing dan, waiting for a bag of crap, but didn´t send their mailing adress! Then, I remember, that I did mail Dan one time in the past, too... WITHOUT SENDING THE MAILING ADRESS ...what I said before, stupidity??? ...that was embarrassing... ...blush...
  11. I want totally assent to this view. Don´t know if you read my post in the "Thank you"-Topic of the UK-Trip Forum, but I didn´t really find the right words, like STR8FXXXINEDGE did. This Trip was my first one, too, and it was one of the best Holiday Trip I ever had and I did many journeys, except in the last few years. And like it was said, you got a mass more back than you paid for. Everyday there was a great surprise for me what we get and especially your real surprises you did for us were so amazing. Don´t know if you recognized that, but I got so freaked out at the Bonus Park, I would needed some tranquilizers I only rode the Vekomas at this park, but did enjoy watching the rest of the group riding this spinning attractions. I can´t do this type of attractions, I would directly get sea sick. I love to read your thoughts and get more informations about what you think of the days and have to work out. At Alton Towers, we get all a small impression, what you have to do behind the scenes and you get my full respect for all that you do. Didn´t recognize, that some of the group were a little bit dissatisfied sometimes or said that to you and was sad to hear, that you get the impression we´re not thankful about what you do - I really am! - But in my case that could fit to the sentence Erik said: May be it was the european mentality while we normaly don't show and or speak out our appreciation as exuberant as most of the americans do. For me the bonus park was a real supprise and I loved it... two unexpected Vekoma credits! Comparing Wagamama and The Sipson Tandoori, both were great, but I more liked the Sipson - it was very interesting, what they cooked with all this different spices! And it was so many!!! But Wagamama at Windsor... wow that was a so beautiful region! I got a little bit confused with the menu card, so I sadly took the wrong menu. But it was a very good meal.
  12. Like I read, TPR side has 32484 members. If everyone would invest § 1000,- you would get a big range more than you posted. = $ 32.484.000,- if we all get together one year and do this over 5 years... $162.420.000,- thats a good beginning, right? Sell Trips over there in the upcoming years and the amount grows a bit I´m sure TPRLand would offer some special ranges and surprises for their members, so let´s start! But you should open it in Europe, so it would be possible to put some attractions in, which you can´t open in America... I would suggest in the near of my house Club TPR Members get "Work for free"-ERT over there everytime they visit ... OK, you should say that it is a behind the scenes special. Sounds better, you know. Wow, Elissa friendly food, Wagamamas, Frog hoppers, acceptable amount of water-"park", Lil´Rob area... - OK, while we´re all kidding here, I´m sure, if you work a concept out and would get the money to built this park, you really will built the best theme park there ever will be!!! -
  13. Same! And all the other shots Robb take on the Trips! Joris en Drak was great! And it has some interesting elements.
  14. Didn´t vote, because I can´t go this year on those overseas trips anymore. But I would like to vote Yes to all in the next years!
  15. Oh, sad I can´t be with you. This is one of the parks I would like to visit again. And like you said, the best way is with TPR! Like your "hot" report - Now I know, what happened to Dave, when I saw him at Phantasialand back again... Is the rest of his hairs a new attraction of Gardaland now?...
  16. Hi Wunderkind, The best options for a Theme Park are mentioned before: "Belantis" (213km) and "Plohn" (228km) are the nearest. In the other direction you can find "Hansapark" (333km) and "Heidepark" (353km). So Berlin isn´t that good location to start a short trip to a Theme Park in Germany the nearest would be about 2 hours away. Maybe you have a portion of luck and there is a fun fair in Berlin while you´re staying there. But in Berlin is a Movie Park called "Filmpark Babelsberg" - watch here. That´s not a real Theme Park, but maybe an interesting option for you. They also have stunt shows and some other random stuff around that Theme. In June and July there will be public viewing places at the "Brandenburger Tor" and so on, because of the world soccer championchip 2010 - so there will be great parties. If you want to search for fun fairs type the words "Kirmes" (= fun fair) and "Berlin", I guess it will be possible to find results if you do. The official side of Berlin is here and the following side does have many events, tips, bars, restaurants and discos listed (here) - the side is only in german, but I hope you´ll find what you search for, if you use some translation help from google translator and so on. EDIT: I did find another page, which would help you a little bit with the fun fair dates (but also in german): here
  17. You´re right with your theory. That´s the problem to it, but it´s possible - while knowing that - to break through this situation. The most people feel that there might be something wrong in those situations, but don´t feel bound to help because of no reaction in the group and hide behind the group. If someone does react and will directly adress some more people to help, some of them will come with you or follow this person and the aggressors don´t get the feeling of anonymous and indirect confirmation on it´s behavior. It´s important to know that, but the most don´t think about that in those situations. That was what I wanted to tell. I don´t want to award the women or someone who didn´t react. I also fit in this group pattern, but try to get more sensitive in those situations, to react more like I described. I want to encourage to try in the next situation and to appeal, if someone didn´t react, not to be ashamed but to tell what he/she has seen. That´s also help. Uh, hope I expressed right, that´s a little bit difficult for me in a other language.
  18. Too bad. I like the comic version of the TPRlers - including some typical behavior Good luck with your comic book, post an update when you´re finished.
  19. Can´t imagine how huge the building is in reality! Amazing. Thanks for the nice new update. I´m curious about the next photos.
  20. I agree in that. I don´t want to understand, why people so often ignore such a behavior and don´t treat right, but I know it could happen. Often you need only one person who reacts and others will follow them, cause the most of them know that there is going something wrong, but they don´t have the courage to intervene. In this case I can´t really understand why this didn´t happen, cause there won´t be nothing to fear, I guess. But if someone didn´t have the courage in the right time, he/she should have the minimum of courage to tell what he/she has seen to help find the offenders. It´s no blame to finally show the correct behavior.
  21. Aware of "Coaster Expedition"!!! It will cause psychological dependency! Cause you want to watch more editions of them and go on TPR-Trips! I became a TPR-Junkie after watching it the first time! Now I have all episodes and can´t wait for the next. You´ll already waste your money, so why not in this DVD or download versions? It will be the best option I´m also a fan of the RAW editons, but that´s for riding coasters and get the experience of it, for example in the winter season. To get the REAL TPRfeeling and a view of the different parks all over the world you have to view Coaster Experience! With them you´ll get a little bit in touch of all the stuff and insiders discussed on the TPR-side. By the way, Elissa and Robb do have a great music flavour, which rounds up the experience of watching the DVDs. You want to see what´s meant with "acceptable amount of wetness", KIdTums riding a Freefall Tower or one of her first coasters, see speaking cupcakes, get to know what Tyler really hates, see the sexy swimsuites of Robb and Elissa, or a beautiful Bat-girl... than you have to buy the Coaster Expedition series especially the last one "Coaster Expediton 13". DO IT NOW or you get lost of a great experience!
  22. Love these comics! Are there any new updates on this stuff?
