  1. I choose not to answer. To be honest, it's really a toss up for me. Usually whichever park I go to last is rated one spot higher on my list, so I guess it's BGA at the moment.
  2. Dammit!!! When I said I wanted another Intamin woodie built, I didn't mean half way around the world. Still, it looks very good.
  3. I have to agree with a couple coasters mentioned in the last few posts, Tennessee Tornado and Avalanche @ Kings Dominion. ...and I have to politely disagree about Hurler @ KD. I think it's a piece of s*** that should be torn down and a Balder clone put in it's place.
  4. Very nice pics once again, Jeff. I knew there was a reason for me waiting to ride Griffon. I think I'll wait till September when the kids are back in school and the crowds die down. Nothing like going on a Friday in September anyway.
  5. Very nice TR. Your final ride count was almost the same as mine when I went a couple of weeks ago. My final count: SheiKra: 5 Montu: 3 Kumba: 2 Gwazi (Lion): 2 Gwazi (Tiger): 2 Scorpion: 1 Cheetah Chase: 1
  6. The last coaster I rode was ROTM@USF about two weeks ago. It was the first time I was able to ride it, since the last time I was at Universal was a month before it opened. What a great ride and is now in my top 5 (steel).
  7. ^I just hope the same thing doesn't happen to Spiderman that happened after Superman 2. As for which movie will do better, IMO Spidey will make more money, but I think Pirates will end up being the best movie of the three. Edit: ...now that I thought about it for a minute, I think Pirates may also take in more money. It's really going to be close.
  8. non-smoker, can't even take the second hand smoke. I'm all for banning in public places.
  9. Thanks for the review, Jeff. Sounds like it will be a fun ride, no doubt. I'm going to wait a little while to ride, since I just rode SheiKra two weeks ago.
  10. ^Obviously, it depends when you go and what time of the day. I rode SheiKra two weeks ago on a Tuesday, it had a two train wait till around 2 pm and a one train wait the rest of the day. ...oh and that was for the front, the back was a walk-on the whole day.
  11. I'm so jealous. Kidtums at age 1 will have more park visits than me at age 33.
  12. I would wait till the last second to see if the weather forecast changes. If not, I wouldn't take the chance of going and having El Toro closed, but that just me. Edit: Forget what I said, you probably already made your decision, since the park opens in an hour.
  13. One thing is for sure, it's not a Katun clone.
  14. I agree about Tennessee tornado. It's my favorite Arrow coaster and dare I say I like it better than Loch Ness. I guess the only thing I don't like about the coaster is that it's a little short, but so are any coasters you really like. I was also lucky enough on my last visit in '05 to be the only one on TT for two consecutive rides.
  15. ^even better, get the gold flashpass at Great Adventure. Trust me El Toro alone is worth it.
  16. Great job on the PTR. I always love seeing my third favorite park, BGA. ...and my third favorite steel coaster, Montu.
  17. I suggest getting a Gold Q-Bot(flashpass) for SFGAdv and going one day instead of two. The cost should pretty much even out and it would give you time to visit Knoebels. Phoenix alone is worth it.
  18. Heck yes, thanks Jeff. Sometimes it pays to work 3rd shift.
  19. Great TR and I agree about the older work force making a big difference. It's a great park and I can't wait to go back this fall. It's been two long years since I last visited. ...oh and Thunderhead is my #3, only behind El Toro and Phoenix.
  20. Speaking of DarKastle, when it first opened 2 years ago, they were allowing people into the park 15 minutes early to get into line. Now I'm not saying they will do it for Griffon, but I would get to the parking tolls a little earlier than usual.
  21. Has anyone else heard that CP was running trains on Maverick yesterday? Just curious.
  22. ^Yea, #2 is right on. Most people have a tendency to go right to Loch ness or turn left toward Pompeii and Apollo. Well, usually the area to the left is roped off till around 10:30, so make sure you go right. Follow it around, it's a long walk, but you should beat most of the early crowd. There's no reason you can't get a couple rides on Griffon before a line starts building. ...then continue on to DarKastle, BBW, etc. If you follow the order above you should be OK and be able to ride all the big rides by early afternoon. Just a note, I haven't been to the park yet this year, but in years past they usually have the area past DarKastle roped off till around 11:00. ...so depending on the time, you may even want to ride Alpengeist after DarKastle and then go to BBW. Just a thought. ...anyway I'm sure you'll have fun if you keep the answers above in mind.
  23. ^^Actually the smoothest coaster I've been on is probably El Toro. ...and there's no doubt the B&M coasters in Florida rock.
  24. ^The twister section on El Toro is boring? I don't think so.
  25. ^...rub it in why don't you. With that said, outside of Florida I think the northeast has the best collection of parks/ coasters in the country.
