  1. Wow, those supports do go every which way. ...anyway, great pics and thanks for the update.
  2. Well, at least that's one less person I have to worry about in line. ...anyway, it looks like Griffon will be the only floorless Dive coaster for about 3 weeks or so.
  3. Thanks for the pics, it's looking good. If I get out to Idaho to visit family this August, I'll make a stop at Lagoon.
  4. I really don't care if Sheikra is floorless or not, I'm just happy it'll be open for me to ride in early May.
  5. ^See the Super Bowl in person, that's easier said then done. ...unless you want to pay a couple grand.
  6. ^I agree, I think I'll like it more if they put in the air time hills. I'm also curious to see how they will line up the track and supports. On a side note, it's very sad to see in picture #3 the area of dirt where Freefall once stood.
  7. As Johnny English would say, "it's just a little poo".
  8. Wow, that would be a tough one to decide. EGF, Goliath, Colossos, Black Mamba, Winjas, Silver Star vs. Balder, Tornado, Falken, Thunderbird, Kanonen, Lisebergbanan, Speed Monster, Thundercoaster ...and of course The "Michael Jackson" coaster vs. The "Dog Fart" coaster.
  9. They probably did, rollermonkey. I don't remember ever hearing about a stargate prior to the movie, only wormholes, etc. ...but supposedly the Mayan calendar ends in 2012 and some kind of worm hole is suppose to open. ...maybe that's where the stargate gets tied in.
  10. ^^According to RCDB, Katun is themed like a Mayan ruin. ...and Katun is a period of 7200 days, which is approximately 20 years in the Mayan calendar.
  11. ^You're not missing much with Kingda Ka, Robb. The launch just doesn't feel right to me and the hill is basically a waste. Heck, I enjoyed HypersonicXL and Storm Runner's launch much better.
  12. Thanks fergusonat, I'll keep an eye out for the update.
  13. I agree, Kingda Ka's launch just doesn't feel right. I think TTD and Storm Runner's launch is much better, even though it's not as fast.
  14. I think that's pretty cool. It makes them seem a little more real.
  15. GCI or Intamin would be the only type of woodie I'd like to see at IOA. ...and I would take either-or over a B&M flyer anyday.
  16. Such a simple layout, but such a great ride. I love the model, but wouldn't trust it being shipped after paying 400+ dollars.
  17. I usually don't have a problem letting people go ahead of me(within reason), if they are nice about it and ask. ...but usually it's the opposite for me, people ask if I will go ahead of them so they can ride with their family and/or friends. I guess I've been lucky that way.
  18. North Carolina is considered southeast, but for voting purposes I just went with USA-Eastern. As far as home parks go, I have Carowinds, BGE, and Kings Dominion all within 2 1/2 to 3 hours of me.
  19. Thanks for the link. Wow, that Immelmann looks huge.
  20. ^I second that, I think a Hyper coaster is what Kings Dominion needs. ...preferably an Intamin, but I wouldn't turn my nose to a B&M either. Though with Apollo's Chariot 90 mins down the road, an Intamin coaster would be wiser IMO.
  21. ^^Since we're mentioning coasters that sould go, I vote for Hurler to be next.
  22. I'd rather have it the other way around, Freefall stay and Superman go, but oh well.
  23. I don't think it's a big deal, it's Six Flags after all. ...now if it was Universal or Disney that's another story.
  24. I agree with Robb, and IMO losing Superman would be no big deal.
  25. except for the coasters.
